Faq: Apexi Powerfc - Frequently Asked Questions
gumflapper replied to paulr33's topic in Tutorials / DIY / FAQ
hmmm... just got back from tafe... started the car and its idling high (1,350-1,400 rpm). im sitting there at the traffic lights waiting and the "check engine" light is on (yes the same sensor "THRO" - throttle is reading 0.00V) i sit there a little more and it goes away (THRO reading 0.43V and rpm down to 850-900) i drive away and no more then 1km up the road the light comes back on... 0.00V again... i stop at the next set of lights and reving high again... when i take off with the throttle reading @ 0.00V the car doesnt feel right... when i take off with the throttle reading MORE then 0.00V i couldnt ask for anything better... anyone else experienced this problem? ill probably put the sock ECU back in tmrw morning b4 i leave for tafe again unless anyone can diagnose what it could be...? -
Faq: Apexi Powerfc - Frequently Asked Questions

and here is another question... i put in my Power FC this arvo and followed the great manual that paulr33 has wrote... i put it in, did all of the idle instructions and then came time for a test drive... all went fine... i jumped in the car about an hour later to go 2 ice hockey @ boondall and it gets there no worries (idles perfectly and response is good) but then it came time to leave and the engine check light came on... wasnt sure what to think at first... so i went to the sensor check page in the hand controller and discover the "THRO" sensor is reading 0V... thing is, drive for 200m and it goes away and a reading of approx. 0.5V is there... go around a corner and the light comes back on... drive a little bit more and away she goes... does anybody know why this is? only thing i could put it down to is either a dodgy sensor or shitty wiring sumwhere... any ideas? thanks in advance... -
nice nice... but where do you put ur groceries?
-

take the front of the black housing off of the cluster... it will clip off... take off the needle stop on the km/h part... (you will need to take off the black plate with the speeds off.) to do that, remove the needle very carefully. generally turn as far as you can clockwise untill the needle stops (at this point mark where the needle point stops), and then a bit more and pull up as you do that... rotate back anti-clockwise as far as you can untill the needle stops and pull up again... doing this a few times should take it off... (well it worked for me) now remove the black plate with the speeds on it... its glued on so using a sharp long knife slide inbetween the plate and the clear plastic it sits on and remove... once you have this in ur hands, take off the needle stop... i used some pliers and patience and it comes out... put the black plate on and the needle (BUT NOT THE NEEDLE STOP!) adjust the needle to line up with the line you marked before... once the needle lines back up the way it did before, rotate the needle past this point a little bit more... put it back in the car without the needle stop in place or the plastic cover on and take it for a drive and adjust accordingly... once happy... replace the needle stop and put back 2gether... i think thats just about it... there is probably an easier way n i dnt no of it... as for the green led... looks like a home job 2 me... i have no idea... probably like u said... to let you know if ur fog lights are on... lol

here are the pics... Dash A/C Controls as you can see... the dash is perfect blue right under the diode clusters... im thinking about changing them... i like the blue clusters and the way they are arranged, i dont understand why they dont shine thru like you would think they would... the only part that "bothers" me as it were is near the fuel and temp guages... cant see sh*t... lol
-
+1 more for that... i took mine for a drive out 2 nanango on friday arvo... bout a 3 hr drive... and to test the new white speedo u sent me i took it 2 180km/h... (wouldnt go any faster) and it handled at 180 like it would @ 80... amazing those japanese cars

What Do You Think Of My Dash Lights...
gumflapper replied to BAMR33's topic in Exterior & Interior Styling
did ur look like mine? i like the blue leds... i put them in my A/C unit n their fine (match my dvd plater buttons nicely) but in the dash, right infront of the leds is perfect blue but everywhere else is very faded as no light is getting there... how well did the white ones work? -
the swtich in the picture controls the aerial height... i took my dash apart to install the white speedo kit and obviously disconnected everything... when i reconnected everything n turned the radio back on, it went (like you said) 10ft in the air... i pressed down on this switch and the aerial went down to the desired height... i dont know if the computers memory stores is height in it but everytime i turn the car back on, its at the height i set it at using that switch... btw my car is a R33 GTS-T sII... i dont know if the series 1 has this...
-
sweet as... thanks guys... ill tryn get some tmrw n let u know how it goes...

there is a switch on ur dash on the left hand side next to the steering wheel... try using that... or listen 2 a CD...
