  7. 2.2 Demographics Hoons are often stereotyped as male, aged between 17 and 25 years, of low income and a blue collar worker or unemployed. However, there are exceptions to this rule, as outlined by the TRG, including wealthy Asian students, young women, and relatively wealthy middleaged businessmen. In Queensland the most predominant types of vehicles used by hoons are Holden and Ford sedans or high performance Japanese models. Modifications of both a legal and illegal nature are often made to the Holdens and Fords to enhance performance. A number of Japanese models are imported and can be purchased for under $20,000. No modifications are required for these vehicles as they are already high performance and are therefore desirable to hoons what a load of shit... well im 22 so only another 3 more years and ill no longer be a hoon regardless of the way i drive...
  8. i dont understand why we need 2 pay $800 a yr for some pressed out sheets of steel and for a little bit of paperwork... bullshit +1 for daylight robbery
  9. i just had 2 log in now so i could say good luck with your sale... and WOW that is nice (i could never sell a car like that)
  10. i use these at my work http://australia.rs-online.com/web/search/...amp;cm_vc=av_au they are very reliable and very easy to use the software to program it with is here http://www.schneider-electric.com/corporat...;p_range_id=542# - download v4.3 only thing is you have 2 buy the usb cable to connect it from your pc to the unit itself or you can try and program it thru the screen but i think programming it thru the screen is bullshit! lol much easier to do it thru the computer. the logic controller will let you program it in either ladder or FBD. if you need more input/outputs just select a larger controller. if you need help programming it let me know. adam edit: gave you the wrong url... fixed
  11. thanks for all the replys guys... shes handed the assignment in now and has covered numerous areas of legislation and POV's from various people... in a few days when i get a chance ill write up some of the interesting rules/facts that shes come across during her reasearch... thanks adam
  12. walked out of the hyperdome last night and in the upstairs carpark there was a nice 32gtst parked next to me... had SAU stickers on it... i need to get me some of those...
  13. thanks for the serious replys rb25kateosaurus and twoogle... both replys are appreciated and im glad that you both understand what it is that im asking. just to clarify for the uneducated - personal opinions on what could be done to stop import/performance cars being targeted? rb25kateosaurus maybe the police, government and so on should try and work WITH the car community and work out some compromises? make more places for car enthusiasts to hang out.. open more tracks, more often, create a meeting place on a weekend? they should work with us not against us they arent doing anyone any favors and are making it worse for everyone a very good and valid point mrs twoogle I think you are asking for some comments on "what we think should/could b done to stop import/performance cars being targeted under anti-hooning laws? yes that is what i asked and your reply was very helpful. (not my words - my gf's... she thanks you ) KV2R34GT i hope i word this correctly as such so that i do not become the target of your internet wrath... but if i ever need the useless, uninformed opinion of an immature, apparently senseless keyboard warrior such as yourself... i will ask. that aside, this seems to be developing into an interesting topic with the exception of a particular user who i will not name. it would b a shame to get it locked/closed. so can i ask that people with valid opinions (such as that of Basti, sunnycoast, Benzino33, Imtorging, redevil, ZENNON, simpletool, madbung, sneakey pete, Skyrin, rb25kateosaurus and DiRTgarage) keep posting them up and to the few very highly educated people who seem to have nothing else to do but pick out my grammaticallll errors... dont thanks adam
  14. thanks for the replys guys... keep them coming... KV2R34GT i thought the question that i was asked to ask was fairly straight forward. - what do you guys think about import/performance cars being "unfailry" targeted and what could be done to stop this? Nowhere did she say that these drivers should NOT be penalised, but that most are repeatedly targeted predominantly due to the cars they drive. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't 'unfairly targeted' and 'unfairly discriminated against' pretty much the same thing? If everyone was treated equally and pulled over for legitamate reasons, not just because 'they drive an import' all would be fine and fair, and there wouldn't be a problem. the reason i think shes chosen this is because of an incident that happened to us a few months ago. driving late at night with no1 else around and i was chased down by a cop (i wasnt speeding or doing anything stupid) and then the officer decided to go over my car with a fine tooth comb and whatnot. even when shes driven my car to uni and work and so forth shes mentioned to me afterwards that shes gotten stares from police and i know that she doesnt drive like a maniac because i know for a fact shes intimidated by the thing. madbung the law IS the law and we/she understands that and we all have to obey them. even the 1s we dont agree with Benzino33 she agrees that the media are a huge influence of peoples ideas and thoughts about import vehicles. "if you see 1 dickhead on TT or ACA doing a burnout then they must all be hoons." if the media painted a positive image on imported vehicles then perhaps things might b a little different Zennon thanks for the reply. i understand what you mean. i have also been pulled over a few times for things that i admit doing. cracked front bar, sped up to go thru a yellow light (ran it red) and speeding. however i have been pulled over several times for no apparent reason. but only in my skyline. never in my proton or magna. just unlucky i guess. anyways no1 should take any criticism personally and that this is simply a request for opinions and you are all entitled to one so please, keep the discussion going thanks adam
  15. thanks for the reply basti... genuine suggestions and comments are apprecitated and will be forwarded. if u want to be smart ass gts r33 then find another outlet...
  16. high my gf is doing an assignment for uni and she has chosen the "Anti-Hooning Laws". She basically wants 2 know what you guys think should/could b done to stop import/performance cars being targeted under these laws? she has already interviewed several ppl from various age groups/occupations/etc. and she would like the opinions (serious opinions) from the fine ppl of this forum (no ranting/bullshit) that are in the form of recommendations so that they could (but wont) be forwarded to the real police about what actually happens. thanks adam
  17. this should get u started... R33_Wiring.zip

  21. not the biggest fan of supras but shit thats a nice car... gl with sale...
  22. yeh im not going to try and squeeze every little possible kw from my car, just after a good, reliable setup that will last. so a blitz return flow should be good (and legal) for what i need? what is wrong with the cooling-pro stealth setup?
  23. well if TT wont listen to anything but themselves, perhaps someone/we should go to an outlet that will be willing to hammer the shit out of TT... i rekn ACA would do it just out of pure spite... if we sent the ACA producer some of the emails that archer sent back to various members on here, im sure that ACA would jump at the chance to contradict TT and make the producer of there direct competition look like a total wank. perhaps invite an ACA reporter along to a charity cruise and show him/her what 99.999999999999% of the ppl who own "performance" imported cars actually are responsible drivers and respected/successful/intelligent members of the community. for example, my 1st car for all intense and purposes was a proton persona. i used to fang and hammer the shit out of that thing and now that i look back on it - was a dick. i got the opportunity to drive a skyline and thought "shit, im gonna buy myself 1 of these" 2 months later i had 1. i saved money for my gtst and altho it is much more powerful then what my persona was, i think i drive it much more sensibly due to the fact that i saved money for it, it is much more powerful, and i have experienced (as im sure most of you's have) a little too much throttle around a corner can b scary, especially when your not expecting it... having said that, WE HAVE ALL done stupid things in cars and if 1 person says they hav not then i call BULLSHIT... adam
