  1. cool, i can get an lt12s for cheap as with a plug n play loom, if i can use the standard igniter and coils this will be great, i am on the coast and can i grab this guys number. so the fact that i have different cams (rb26 ones) in my rb20 doesn't mean i have to get the crazy ignition set up. Cheers, Jonno.
  2. i would also take an lt12s with loom for rb20 and x6 ignition box (but the x6 boxes are $150 brand new from microtech) and the matching coils if possible, for cheap. cheers Jonno
  3. yeah tell me about it i think he just wants me to give him more money, so what do you reckon use lt12s and x6 box to run my rb20 with rb26 cams, and not worry about the standard coils as they will be fine. or should i go in another direction???
  4. i bought a worked engine and i have an a4 page of stuff done to it, not to keen on posting as i dont want to type it out, is there anything in particular that you want to know???. i have spoken to the tuner again and he said an lt12s with x6 box is fine but i should buy coils as the stardard coils are not the best way of going about it, im not sure about that there seems to be a lot of people running standard coils
  5. i can get an lt12s for cheap but my dynotuner says i need the ltx12s to run my rb20 with gtr cams is this true????
  6. i want to buy a Microtech ltx12s for rb20det if possible with looms n stuff, email [email protected] or phone 0415580440.
  7. i would like injectors somewhere around 600cc for an rb20. cheers jonno.
  8. gday i need an ecu that will run an rb20 with gtr cams. i have been told by protorque that microtech is the go. what do you guys think??? cheers jonno
  9. i have recently purchased a haltech e6x and been chasing a harness for it, during my asking for a harness one online store replied "how will an e6x work with a r32?? it doesnt have enough ignition channels" is this true??? cheers jonno update i replied Says up to six in pdf file, but then in ignition configuration it say 1-4 direct spark, and waste spark 4,6,8 cylinders I have included the pdf, cheers for your help he said You'd have to run waste spark which isn't ideal for coil on plug setups does this mean i should not run it in my car????
  10. so looks like i'll be going with the 3' out. now the 3" gt 4-bolt out is $110 more than the v-band 3" out. what i am asking is should i go v-band cauz its cheaper i have to get a dump pipe made any way, is v-band any good???
  11. anyone???? just keen on knowing if there are any performance advantages to the different style ehaust housings. i have to get a dump pipe made anyway so i can get any out, just keen on knowing if one is better than the other. they cant be for just different applications and have the same flow can they, if so i will buy the cheapest one if there is no advantage. cheers, jonno
  12. i would like to know if there is any advantage of getting a different sized exhaust out on the turbo exhaust housing. i mean not the a/r or flange size but the actual size of where the exhaust bolts on. i have a 4inch exhaust and wondering is there any advantage of getting a 3inch gt 4bolt out over the standard 2.5inch 4bolt out or any other housing options. cheers jonno
  13. This is my record with Benji's RB20det engine using a TR43 turbo running 21psi made 242rwkws. This turbo is in very similar spec as a GT3076 52T in a .63 housing, 38mm externally gated. Smaller turbo, more power, using similar boost with better response on a less modified engine. i thought these turbos were only safe to 20psi what about a tr43i on my modded rb20 when will boost come on and hit full
  14. Roy-What manifold are you running? = top mount with t3 flange. FATGTS-R-I dare say the tuner could of brought your boost in a lot earlier with a .63 hot side but the 30/40 compressor may of gone into surge?. = yeah it was is a race car so i'd say he wanted the power up in the high revs, me i want reponse and drivability for drift/street. so i want something capable of 220kw-250kw+ with t3 flange for me rb20. now that i have said that is it is easier to change the flange on the manifold then find a t3 flanged turbo. where can i find a td06 for pricing?? Cheers jonno
  15. g'day i was just after some opinions on what turbo i should run. i have an rb20det with gtr cams, pocket ported head, race bearings, etc. the previous owner of the engine was running a GT30/40R with a .63 exhaust housing (238kw on 18psi, dyno sheet attached) and he said if you are using your car for more street use i recommend a disco patoto up to a GT30/71R with a .63 rear. i am pretty keen on the gt3071r with the 60mm turbine and t3 flange .63 rear as i have heard bad things about the 56.5mm turbine version. any help would be much appreciated. Cheers Jonno
