  1. hey all u guys who were bidding, u know u can get one spanking brand new delivered to ur door for like $540? check out www.import-nation.com with our great aussie dollar value against the greenback at the moment, the buy price on on e new is $500 even! the rest is shipping - makes u wonder how autobarn can get away with selling em for $770!
  2. Can neone in Vic give a definate yey or ney on pod air filters - are they defectable - can u get an engineer's cert for one and then its ok or are they just not on at all? cos that sux
  3. nice guide.. went thru this process about a year ago and some of the tips woulda been helpful then! hehhee looking forward to the suspension episode - u doin shocks or springs or both?
  4. hey guys, just wondering if anyone can tell me how 2 change the power steering fluid, or is it a job best left for the pro's - ive done oil, filter, fuel filter, plugs etc before thanx!
  5. hey nismodified - the throbbing ur talkin about - ive got it too! sounds pretty good eh? do you get a different, louder sound generally when cold and in lower revs? kindof a slapping, throbbing through the zorst - cause i get that for bout 5 mins every morning - neone know what that is?
  6. hey i just realised i know a guy selling a r33 na 5spd gunmetal grey type m (front bar & skirts) - other than that stock i think - maybe exhaust - i don't know him that well tho... he hasn't advertised his car but he's got a sticker up - he might want slightly higher tho like 14k... i'll check it out actually i heard he might wanna keep it cos he got a call from a some hot chick who saw him in his car and called the for sale number and now hes r&%ting her!!! hahahaha
  7. heheh go the student loan! hey that's given me an idea... hehehe cheers mate!
  8. the main thing i guess is age - ud get a newer r33 than u would a 300 for the same $$ i reckon
  9. fair nuff thats pretty quick - the r33 na does 7.3 (manual) stock. Tho with a small amount of mods (exhaust & pod filter mainly (bout $400), extractors ($350), hi flo cat ($300) & super afc II ($550) - if ur keen) u'd easily break that time and have what i consider to be a nicer/more practical car - but that's just my 2 c did i mention that in a stock locking r33 i've never been pulled over by the cops in 1.5 years with p plates up? dunno how many 300s wouldnt get pulled over ?
  10. don't get a 300zx! hold our for the r33 - they are far superior! the 300zx's are cops of cars - heavy, weak engines, hard to work on (have u seen the engine bay??) not to mention lack of seating in the rear (even in the 2+2) i know they're cheaper and more power, but you'll have way more mechanical problems with it and the power only makes up for the weight. seriously the 33 is a great car i haven't had a problem with mine in a year and a half - but if u really want a 300zx, wait til 1st jan next yr and get an '89 for like $7.5k - check out www.prestigemotorsport.com.au and go to stock. (not affiliated)
  11. what version s-afc is it?? is it a series 1, series 2 gen 1 or series 2 gen 2? chance of a pic?? cheers
  12. its a set of 4 springs yeah? will they fit an NA r33?? how much $$$ were they new??
  13. maybe u could post a pic?? i gather its the white screen one btw?
  14. adrian, is it the one that has the single dial (2nd gen safc II with 300rpm adjust) or the one with 4 buttons left right up down (1st gen with 500rpm adjust)??
  15. i've got an auto r33 - but its the 5 speed auto version with a really short 1st which helps acceleration - i get around 7.5-7.8s for 0-100 - i've god k&n pod filter with divider in the engine bay, that's it (running 98 RON petrol all the time and service every 5,000 with anti-friction oil - i reckon it helps!) i beat a wrx with a bov one night - that was pretty funny i think the guy was a sh!t driver tho, and i can keep up with my mate's ca18 silvia (rebuilt and boosted to 12psi) 8.2 sec is a bit slo for a '33 - even an auto - do u torque brake?
  16. On the parker lights point - i got some with the philips bulbs i bought recently but im having major probs getting to the parker on the driver's side - there's about a thousand things in the way! any good tricks for making it a bit easier or should i just persevere fiddling with needle nose pliers etc? - havent had a good go at it yet!
  17. how exactly did they modify the extractors to get 2 1/2" all the way thru? i haven't got mine on yet.. was it much work - many $$$?
  18. CMS Drifter - where can u get iridiums for $16?? that seems heaps cheaper than the usual price
  19. Thanx for your help again
  20. Hey, i'm just wondering if anyone has used the NGK Iridium Spark Plugs in their '33? If you believe the brochure they're a lot better, but I've heard people say they're not worth the money - just wanting to know if anyone has had any experience with them or anythin similar - good or bad? Thanks Guys!
