More trivial things include - nissan badge that covers the keyhole in series 2 versus series 1 - mild change in rear spoiler design. - both series 1 and 2 both had ceramic-turbined turbos though the camshafts between the two are not interchangeable

wouldn't that just cause a 'hydraulic' as the water wouldn't compress in the compression stroke and your engine would just explore?

You can easily tell as the A/F ratios will lean out on the dyno read - it may be sitting on 12:1 all the way to 6000rpm where it leans to 13:1 which I guess isn't ideal

Got a mechanical diff in mine - would never go back to stock viscous. Even if you can pick up a cheap second hand and reshim it, it's a lot more enjoyable. shim to lock up easy for mad power drifts or allow just enough for fast times. At least you wont be plagued with wasteful one wheeling when you dread it most. As I've stated, could never go back

Got my R33 4 door from SVI (full stock)...pretty happy with service, though they use stuff like mineral oil and undersized cats for compliance - but most of yous would have gone over it soon after buying it anyway (new oil, new exhaust, etc)...so I'd rather save a couple of grand on things I'm going to redo.

I am quite impressed with the Hankook k104...and average price I've found round Brisbane is $265

I don't find mine sluggish either - it's got more room than a twin turbo supra (yes, it's a four door), is more fun to drift than a wrx, fair bit more power than a similarly modded 200sx. The mods you'd have to do put a 200sx into the low 13's is enough to put an R33 into the 12's - though that's much more to drag racing than sheer power.

As far as I know, there are 2-3 bolts on the chassis rails under the car which you have to jack the car up or take the wheels off the get too...you may have to removed your wheel arch plastics bits as well 4 doorz

John for a manual, they can install as switch on the gear stick (hidden under the gear stick cover) which only allows car to start in neutral. Haven't heard of it being illegal or affecting insurance (since it could actually be part of the whole alarm system which insurance stipulates you have to have). Worst case scenario is that because the switch is so sensitive, it is still tripped when the car is in neutral and you can't remote start your car. Just take it back and they realign it. 4 doorz

If any one has any contacts with a diff supplier, or if anyone is selling or knows of a friend selling a - ***1.5 way mechanical diff*** Can you pretty please post here as soon as possible as I am trying to buy and organise fitting before next Sunday's skid pan day. :P Please help as it is for a worthy cause on a tight schedule. 4 doorz P.S.
