  1. www.carbra.com.au About $450 (i think/recall) custom made fitted perfectly. They measure for all cars even standard bras. You drop it off, go for a walk bunnings is just around the corner, enjoy a snag, walk back to get your car and in a few days or later that week they'll call you and say it's ready to be picked up. Moving on, where's everybody's pics?? I've never actually seen my car wearing a bra before lol or in a cruise of any kind as this was my first one. love to see some pics please. oh and by the way if you guys were wondering what i was doing letting a few cars past now and then during the day it was because i was getting sick of following the same cars arse the whole time i needed some arse variety!
  2. I had a chance to use mine on the weekend for a SAUVIC cruise we had and i thought it would look a bit silly but i'm glad i chucked it on. 1. only takes 1-2 minutes on and 20 seconds to take off. 2. it is really tight, so much so that as its been so long since i used it the indicator lights didn't line up perfectly, i might need to readjust the strap or something. 3. airflow is not a problem, massive flynet style fronts where all the bugs hit and their red and green innards end up on your front bar but no hard shells LOL 4. it was fine for me all day, not quite 190km/h but not far from it
  3. Thanks Wayne, it was an awesome day for my first official cruise and all. unfortunately i didn't get many good pics and without a passenger i could only get them when we slowed down but here's a few. can't wait for the next one, cheers!
  4. _Scotty_ nice twins!! I think this is the only other R33 i've seen with them, it really makes the rear bar look much better! I used to have a VS rear as well but with only 1 exhaust it looked strange, now i have twins and a new bar anyway but yeah, well done it looks the part! Any other r33's with a pair at the back on here?
  5. g'day only just found this post but thought i'd share some pics (i hate topics with no pics ). I was like all of you and tried different ways but then decided to get it done professionally when i had my seats done at the same time. Also 'teamplasma' wanted to build door pods, well i guess you've done so by now but here's my fibreglass ones anyways. It came back a treat and looks fantastic! Andrew from Striaght Line Motor Trimming will help you out: 3/6 Holloway Drive, Bayswater 9762 3773 www.straightline.com.au
  6. these are all i have at work on this pc. www.topstage.com.au
  7. yeah topstage did my 33 widebody, couldn't be happier! here's a pic of the job during 'progress'
  8. custom did you notice twin exhaust on r33 as well you like? topstage.com.au
  9. Really? Iv been doin the shows for 4 years straight now, and havnt found to find a single issue with them, i actually find them extremely supportive and helpful, especially Alisa, the main organiser who also deals with entries and stuff. Well this is only my 3rd and final show and I agree with DNGRUS that Alisa's been terrific. I'll be making sure my display is the best one i've done yet as i wont be doing it again, so hopefully it'll come up alright but i'm running out of time and haven't started making any of it yet some comments are right though, its been gradually shrinking each year but with only one show this year hopefully it'll be better? If you come in say g'day i'll be with the 'topstage' gang
  10. here's some info http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Le...49#entry3668249 and a pic of mine :-)
  11. I've finally found them!! I can't quite bring myself to spending USD2469.04 on a set of headlight but damn i want them so badly! http://www.rhdjapan.com/jdm/BCNR33-Kouki-X...eadlights-12139 Anyone have a pic of these on a car? Anyone have these at all? Anyone know if they're any good or worth the money? I'm seriously considering it and want to be talked out of it before i splurge when i know i need the money for more important things
  12. don't get one! mine wasn't any good either! i'm a bit over veilside now anyways but at the time i picked it up from a place called pulse autostyling, who i don't think are in business anymore but were in south east melbourne. where are you from shaun_perry? if in melbourne, freddy from topstage.com.au can customize you anything you can dream of! or help you dream of something! check out this latest bar on my 33, with the flush boot all painted and finished...
  13. carmate in sydney is where i got mine. a whole new fibreglass boot lid for a couple of hundred if i recall. here's a pic from when i first got it. The pic is extremely old, i still have my old rear bar and no work done to the car yet but gives you an idea. the quality i'm quite happy with. www.carmate.com.au
  14. bugger why do they always have to be on a tuesday i can't make this one, have a good night! maybe one day i'll meet you's all as i've been a member this whole year but everything organised is on days i can't make
  15. I had the same thoughts and questions when i was deciding what to do a while ago. Don't know if it matters but i'm in vic, and got an r33. i had a lot of advice, much of which was crap, heard carbon fibre was no good but i didn't want that look on my ride anyway, heard fibreglass is no good, someone told me it shatters bad in an accident and someone else said it wont bend like steel and will come through your windscreen and decapitate you... in the end i didn't know who's advise to take so i did my own thing... I kept my steel bonnet, cut some designs in it and fibreglassed it up from underneath and moulded a little on top, then painted the whole thing stock and it looks awesome and is still heavy like steel and original, even when you knock on it sounds the same etc. nobody has ever said anything about it. hope this helps, maybe an idea for you?
  16. hang on now i'm confused. when i took my back seats out to install my stereo, i made some enquiries and called a place to get an approved certificate, and they asked, what part of the body am i changing? and i replied with nothing, i'm just adding MDF and fibreglass to the back and they said it was fine. my seat belts are out, my rear pillars have tweeters in them, and nobody has ever said anything...?
  17. last year and also previously in sydney, i have used LJ Hooker's marquee's free of charge as in both circumstances it was a public event and a sporting fundraiser and they like to get behind the community and also provides them with exposure and a pile of business cards and flyers scattered around all day. it was a win/win for everybody, but as i said it needs to be a legit fundraising event - don't know what you plan to do, but thought i'd add this in
  18. I dont have a pic of mine on this work pc, but ive got a completely custom made r33 front bar and when i went to last years autosalon i was nervous about driving all that way on a brand newly painted bar getting stone chips before showing it off, so I researched shipping = $4 - 500 each way plus flights to get up there = well over 1 grand OR.... CAR BRA!!! www.carbra.com.au About $450 (i think/recall) custom made fitted perfectly got to enjoy driving my baby the whole way with no worries they measure for all cars, you drop it off, go for a walk bunnings is just around the corner, enjoy a snag, walk back and in a few days or later that week they'll call you and say it's ready to be picked up. hope this helps, now go get one!
  19. oh dude that sucks i don't wish this upon any sau member! i found this which i'm currently getting my laughs from: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Hoons-t194121.html 'dumest hoons special'
  20. buahaha it made me laugh, on the way to work this morning near school zones a loud s15 snuck up the inside lane to beat everybody off at the lights. i remember thinking to myself, whats the point everybody's gotta do 40 anyway after the lights. then he floors it, makes it through fine but on approach to the second school zone over the crest he dissapears from my sight. as i come over the crest i see that he's been pulled over. if he was generally in an emergency for getting somewhere quick then i feel sorry for him that he got done in such a rich way. And if he hadn't of got caught i probably would have been like "sucks that everyone can cut me off up the inside" but on the other hand, i just thought... "yeah, it'd suck to be you haha." ever see this sort of stuff that makes you chuckle but at the same time thank god it wasn't you driving in that manner? if so share some stories to entertain my monday morning, cheers
  21. yes they are worth it! get one! or two or three! i've had four in my time of driving my r33 series 1 and i've loved every single one of them - especially my most recent custom made that's it, get one! don't worry about the price just shop around and dont get anybody dodgy!
  22. thanks everyone it'll be going in for 1 final show this year, but nothing else has happened to it recently as i'm pimping up a house hehe come say hi cause i still don't recognise a lot of forum names to faces yet, can't seem to get to many cruises lately. cheers
  23. two thirds of the way down this page shows you the set up: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Au....html&st=40 i'm really happy with it, and was surprised they found me for an interview but am stoked! wanted to post pics of my car a while back at the first autosalon november 07 but didn't get around to it, and still to this date have not had other people comment too harshly which is good, but any feedback i'd love to hear it ...maybe
