Hey i'll share my side of the story... even before the event began, I asked my mate if he brought the KY. I just had that feeling! So there was 16 of us in total at the original meet point, not all skylines. We got some great photos, meet some new members, had a good time hanging out checking out each others cars. The usual stuff, drooling etc... As we took off I was near the leader, but my passenger was chatting to somebody on the CB radio at the very back. Somewhere on Warburton Hwy I slowed down to let everybody pass me and so I could count cars and then hang back with my pal who was not in a skyline. At this stage I realised we had lost a few members on the way who got held up at traffic lights etc. We were approaching Wesburn on the highway in an 80 zone 3 lanes (2 our side, 1 opposite), and I was on the outside lane and my mate was on the inside. My passenger was on the CB and I didn't even notice the highway patrol car, but then my mates passenger radio'd me through saying he saw the police go by and doing a u-turn behind us, so I pulled in front of my mate after I finished passing him in the overtaking lane as he didn't mind taking up the tail. As we approached Wesburn the cop was tailing me closely, but then shot off to the left, and i said to my passenger "what's the bet he called in a road block up ahead?" Anyways, if you google map Wesburn you can see Lowes Road. My bet was he use the back streets and got ahead of us to set up the roadblock, because while chatting to him he said he was coming opposite us and saw us, so it must have been the same bloke. Anyways, after he spent time with each driver it was my turn. Rego and License number was written down on his clipboard like everyone else. I tried to chat to him and show him my whole car and explain the work put it to keep it legal, but by the time he got to me at the end, car #11, i think he had enough. He didn't say anything except asked me if VicRoads knows about my rear seats changing the car to a two seat vehicle, but as per their guidelines I don't have to do anything about it. I explained this to him, told him I would find the documentation, and then he walked away. That's my story... We all dispersed and I drove home ... geez, I just re-read it, i don't have a point really. LOLZ!! I just told a boring story, sorry

R33 Gts-t 'custom Show Car'
shanusr33 replied to shanusr33's topic in For Sale (Private Whole cars only)
The car will be in Wheelers Hill all next week in parts in the garage. I'm pulling out the back seat install, replacing the drivers seat belt so i can get the RWC, and while it's apart get new tint on the rear window (cause of some scratches and it being too dark currently) I'll then re-run all the wires and neaten up the boot back to standard, and put the backseat installation back so it's better than ever! I'm willing to drop the price for a trade of sorts...I'm wanting to renovate my courtyard, get a decking, spa, landscaping, the works, and pay off my debt to other renovations from last year! So if you are interested, and can help me out with what I'm after, the price can definately go lower. If not, price is still $19K for this final week only until Christmas. I purchased the car standard for $18K 7 years ago omg. By New Years Day, once I get it totally legal and Road Worthy, and feeling like new again, maybe a new head unit.... I wont want to sell it! lol. So it'll probably be too late and it will no longer be for sale, or the price will go up to low 20's again and I just miss out on renovating for another 12 - 18 months. Cheers -
me too means i can't cruise to this and will get in another way, cause then i'll be heading to a b'day night out!

I wish i had of made it but things got out of control on the weekend, sorry. Nice work everyone, and great pics too.

I've decided quickly (so I might change my mind) to drop the price and try to sell again as this xmas I wish to be debt free and start renovating my place some more. I'm also going overseas in 2011 so this will help a lot towards that. I've just purchased this week four BRAND NEW K31 Khumo Tyres so the only thing left to do before I get the RWC will be changing the drivers side seat belt. I've already purchased the belt, but I need to replace it. I cbf'd, so selling with NO RWC and dropping to $19,900 for December only. If it doesn't sell soon, no worries, I don't mind at all and I'll change the belt when I have time January and continue to enjoy riding her Shane 0407 834 633 -
