  2. I'm about to go from Jap spec Tein coilovers to standard shocks with lowered springs. I take it the metal caps that came with the set are for the rears? Just sit on top of shock with 'pimple' facing up?

  7. I have the same problem now, I think my suspension is too hard and has jolted something loose. Will pull speedo cluster out and have a nosey around.

I've got one for you guys, sitting at the lights today (idling), my rev counter starts winding around the clock to 9000rpm back to 4000 up to 10000 back to 3000 then stttles back at 700 all in the space of a few seconds....what the f*ck!??? Driving home from work it did it again....happens whilst driving too. Anyone heard of this happening??? Easy fix? Or do I have to perform an exorcism?! Any help much appreciated. Russ

    Fuel Smell

    I am having a similar prob with my R33 GTST. Fuel smell now and then. I thought it was over sized injectors, but now I am not so sure, maybe my lines have perished. Wont be the filler cap because the smell is entering the cabin whilst driving straight, like its being blown in. Will check lines next weekend...piece of mind I have an extinguisher on board!
  10. I will unplug mine this weekend and see if I can get reception still. My aerial was permanently in the upright position. At the mo I just turn the car off, whilst the aerial motor is whuring away trying to decline, I smack the top of the aerial down with the palm of my hand. It takes one hit that is firm but not overboard, then it picks up on the teeth in the motor and goes down. The other way that I first used was to push it down, but the smacking method works for me best as it wont snap or bend the aerial.
  11. Whats involved in a full diagnostic? I have had my R33 for 4 weeks now and want someone to go over it with a fine toothed comb, then dyno it.
  12. Will these R33 4 door struts fit my R33 coupe? Do the R33 struts change from S1 and S2? Do these look stock?
  13. Can someone upload a photo of the aerial unit out of a R33, so I can see what I am tugging on. I want the aerial to remain down, so I want to disconnect the electric motor NOT unplug the aerial.

  15. Thanks bud, will make a few phone calls. Also is it a good idea to become a member with VIC SAU??? I would like to go along to a meeting and learn the rules and regs in Victoria as I dont know them coming from overseas.
  16. I hope I post this correctly...newbie! I have come over from NZ 3 years ago and have a Mazda rotary background. I just bought my first Nissan R33 GTS-T and am wanting to be put in contact with a melbourne based mechanic/tuning shop to go over my car and set it up for me. I want to take some load off the springs, make sure everything is roadworthy etc, change fluids and then run it up on a dyno to see that everything is in order. Can you please recommend a performance shop/mechanic to me??? I am a fussy bastard and I live in Rowville if that helps. Kind regards, Russcoe
