  1. i'm chasing some brake grease lubricant to try and stop this brake squeal i gave bursons a call chasing the permatex ceramic extreme stuff but they didn't see to have it, and only had the buttom of the line spray stuff so what other stuff is around, perferably sold at repco/supercheap/autobarn etc. i'm after something that will hold up at track day type temps thanks
  2. you should be running more oil than 3 litres, just by the way
  3. yeah i think the remedy is called changing gears
  4. wow you'd have to be insane to pay that kind of cash for sh17 plates like that
  5. hey, i'm pretty sure one of my tein coilovers needs a rebuild, so i would do all of them. anyone got a rough price to do this i should be going off? also apart from fulcrum who else would you guys be taking them to? thanks
  6. so you bought new coilpacks when your current ones obviously had no issue ? smearts
  7. 3.5 liters in an rb? doing it wrong by the book it's like 4.7l or something just put 5 liters in, saves wasting it and isn't going to hurt your car at all. it will help stop oil starvation if you drive around the streets like a mad flamin mongrel

  9. yeah well they're going to be federal rsr, so still a street tyre i suppose car isn't really low at all, still something i need to fix up but i don't plan on going too much further anyway
  10. H8 TAX at goodlife chermside
  11. might tack onto this thread i have r33 gtr rims as my track rims for my r34 gtt, i'm yet to put tyres on them my original thought was just a 235/45 could i get away with a 255 with maybe 40 profile? with no modding to guards required?
  12. you don't need to warm up or cool down your brakes if you're just driving from point A to B
  13. you might get a set of r33 gts-t stock wheels with tires for that
  14. you should be able to buy the bosch timing belt and pullies as a kit platinum/iridium plugs are massive waste of money, get some copper plugs like a BCPR6E as above Castrol oil isn't what is commonly used by most skylines owners that have a clue, got for the gold mobil 1 or motul 8100 xcess why would you replace your fuel injectors? at best get them cleaned and flow tested are yu having issues with your coilpacks ie. missing? because if not then you don't need to replace your coilpacks either.
  15. it's not the castrol oil that is bad, it's your gearbox not sure what oil was in my r34 gb when i emptied it but it was being a bit of a prick to get into first and second when it was cold. Replaced it with castrol and it's been silky smooth ever since.
  16. no i did those hoses a couple of years ago now, i went into nissan and stood there with them on the program and pointed them out when i ordered steven that's ok for a single bend, and only to a certain degree a lot of the hoses have multiple bends etc it could work for the mean time on the hose he's talking about as it's only a single bend and not too tight but it's almost impossible to get at the hoses down the back there without taking the intake off, which you're better off waiting until you have all the hoses
  17. you realise that you don't have to convert your car to a full track built car to have some fun every now and then on the track?
  18. got a better picture than a thumbnail? depends how deep it is basically
  19. mate this is kind of obscure but do you have the little hook assembly that holds the carpet in place on the drivers side, just in front of the drivers seat on the floor?
  20. there is about 9 hoses if you want to replace all of them that run around and under the plenum, including radiator hoses and those 2 that run around the back you really need to get them from nissan because they are moulded and you pretty much can't just get a straight peice to do the job they aren't cheap but totally worth the peice of mind
  21. yeh there is 2 hoses that run around the back of the engine that carry coolant as well as the larger heater hoses. The smaller hoses i genuinely couldn't see how to change them without taking the plenum off. I decided to change all of the coolant hoses which pretty much requires you to take the plnum off anyway.
