Hey everyone how are you all going? i just have some questions to ask.. But first of all I’ll give you the scenario. i was driving and i was speeding 10km/h over the limit and i got done by the hand held and they asked me to pull over. (This is fine with me because i was speeding and I’m not going to go against that.) However after that they go to me, your car sounded loud from far away, so they asked me to pop the bonnet. First of all said that my intercooler is illegal and that I’m not allowed to have one, then they said that it should be covered with a mesh.. i thought to myself well you just said i couldn’t have one, but you still need a mesh over one? How does that work. Then he asked me where i installed my intercooler and i said at home, so he goes well your piping is illegal too and it should be heat wrapped.. i thought to myself well wait a second first off all that’s the cold side, secondly when did intercooler piping every need heat wrap? After that he then told me that my pod filter was illegal and at high speeds it would wobble n could come off into the engine and cause problems, fair enough ill just put a stock box back in. then he said my exhaust sounds way to loud, but I’ve got the cat and muffler running through it? After that he finally looked at my solenoid for my apexi avcr and then goes what are those wires? Then he said that’s illegal too. How is the wiring on a solenoid illegal? So finally he wrote me up a report and it said the following.. Structure - comply with VSR'S re-metal pipes from front of body. Also needs a mesh/grill lighting/wiring - to be checked - driver installed. Other (engine) - engine must comply with ADR's no modifications to the exhaust system without a permit. Finally he gave me 2 DAYS! To get over the pits yes! so this Thursday he gave me till, and i only got the yellow today ( Tuesday) all in all i just want to know what is really illegal and what should i take off before i go over pits? i have a stock exhaust in my house so ill put that on, but i don’t have a stock box so could i please borrow one off some one? or anyone know where i can get one, also do i have to remove the intercooler or is that just complete lies about it being illegal? Thanks every one, niran

Hey everyone i have the same problem as the forum topic "Handbrake, Not really working properly", link " http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Ha...p;hl=hand+brake". My handbrake doesn’t really lock unless I pull on it extremely hard and quick, even when I come to a stop on a hill and want to park the car I’ve got to pull the handbrake all the way up before it stops moving back.. my quire was is this the same process with a R32 gtst, as the R34 uses the disc brakes on the rear(for handbrake), but as most off you may know the r32 uses the drums on the rear.. So i was just wondering could it be the same problem that was faced in the topic above and if so do i just loosen my hand brake cable? Or must i go by it another way because i have drum brakes on the rear for the handbrake usage? Thanks Niran

Hey bro, um mod’s already covered your friend's quire so ill answer this, um yer there is you have to wear long sleeved shirt, and long jeans with shoes on. You also need a Australian approved helmet (most motorbike helmets will do as long as it has the approved sticker on it). You also need your license presuming you would already have one , and finally your own car. There is a PDF somewhere; I’ll try finding that and emailing it to you. If you would like it just send us a pm off your email addy. Thanks niran

yer true, um nah i don’t have power figures as I’ve just brought the injectors of a gtr and now ready to install them, otherwise my injectors will stop me at a certain hp, so thought I’d buy some too and then give the car the tune so i can get the full potential out off it. niran -

Hey man how are you going, um on my housing i think it had 45V3 on it, um if your located in Perth WA, best person to go and check would be with ben from kyp, that’s where i got mine off him for i think $300 or so.. but um yer hi flowed would be a beauty some one said the single vg30 hiflow/rebuilt, would perform excellent. also if not i think i had posted a thread before about how to tell whether its an VG30 Turbo and whether its ball bearing/bush, steal wheel/ceramic. Should be somewhere on the "forced induction" area and type in the search VG30 good luck mate niran -

Full Guide On Installing The Vg30 Turbo To A Rb20
niran replied to niran's topic in Tutorials / DIY / FAQ
hey every one dam sorry for the extremely late reply for some reason my account didnt get notified that people had posted on here.. um ok the reason i chose the vg30det turbo was because its a tinny bit bigger then the rb25det turbo, but not much, also people said that the VG30 turbo pulled much harder, so i thought id go that option.. to tell you the truth the vg30 turbo does lag as it is from a 3 litre engine and now been put into a 2 litre however once it does kick in, at about 4000rpm full it keeps pullin all the way till red line so dosnt die off. um yer at the moment i have just brought r32 gtr injectors and will install them soon and do a full tune and hoping to hit around the 280-300rwhp mark so ill let yall know how it goes. thanks niran -
man that looks absolutely AWSOME! i cant wait to get my hands on this also, hope its as good as it looks
-
oh awsome!! definatly will get it.

hey man, ahhh yer lol guess the weight on the mx-5 would have made it a nible car and nice around corners, but hey like you said the r33 has much more torque and will be fun to once you make it how you like ahh, yer good choice with the collies man.. enjoy the car

Loving the r35 gtr body and rims on it man, this is a bit off topic but do they actually make any petrol powered rc drift cars?
