New project for the year ahead. Not interested in anyones part finished plans - or the price tag associated with them, so if you have a virgin RB30 block in and around Sydney let me know. Thanks all

Interested in just the engine or more specifically the head. Don't need any of the rest. Interested in breaking?? If not, how much for the engine?? Cheers Mike

ADVAN performance. They are on Hampstead road in Auburn. In my experience, well worth the drive over from the city.

Rb25 Turbo Upgrade, All Dyno Results
stomper replied to Nacho Vidal's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
1993 R33 GTST s1 Power FC Z32 Stock 370cc injectors Stock internals GT3071 Internal gate @15psi Boost (comes on at the same rpm as stock turbo!!!) Bosch 044 Splitfire Coilpacks Greddy Type M FMIC Bp Ultimate X Force 3 inch turbo back Profec B (turbo wastegate is 15psi so couldnt use teh Boost controller as the injectors were maxed out) 235.4kW Atw -
So i just made 225 AWKW on 14psi (actuator pressure) woohoo!. Prior to going in she was making 139 KW Problem is when the custom piping was fabricated for the FMIC, we lost the return feed for the stock BOV. And now we know that the valve leaks to atmo so we have to sort it. What are my options, do i look for a new stock BOV and work out a plumb back option or go for an atmo????? She is bunged, so sounds like a god damn rexy at the mo. Save the skyline !!

Looks like the earth wire from either the stock turbo heat-shield, or more likely the earth wire from the exhaust cam covers. I wouldn't worry about it, just cut it back to tidy up the bay.

Help! Installed Turbo And Fmic Now Runs Like A Dog
stomper replied to stomper's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Sounds like an exhaust leak, as if thre was no silencer - however exhaust is all on and no leaks. My thoughts were that perhaps the turbo is sucking air through th ecurrently open Plumb back hole on teh stock AFM to turbo piping. Will pipe this back and see how it goes. Thanks for teh pointer -
Desperately need help. Just installed a GT3071 turbo and Greddy M Type FMIC to my R33 GTST. Started her up and now she sounds like a tractor; like the exhaust isn't on at all - which it is and has been checked. As i had to make up some interesting piping combos to fit the compressor infeed and outlet pipes, i have yet to be able to plumb in the return feed from the stock BOV. Would this make the noise i am hearing? Profec b is installed, but the electrics require wiring in - not sure if this would cause the noise? Best i can do at the moment is double check all the hose clamps, however it just seems odd considering it is all pre engine airflow.

My 33 GTST had a real flatspot at 5000rpm and bad fuel economy 250 - 300km's a tank on. tried an ECU reset helped a bit, then noticed that she was running super rich. Turned out that my AFM needed replacing. It was working, but not great, it improved after being cleaned internally but not enough. Then new spark plugs as they were fouled from the rich running. Now operating on stock maps, so next stop Power FC. Try swapping out with an AFM that is definitely working tip top????

Thanks for the recommendation Terry; tried calling them today for an idea of price and the woman on the phone just couldn't be arsed giving me an indicative quote. Any more offers for honest and straight forward paint shops............

Wrecking R33 Gtst
stomper replied to HOT_R33's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
Would be interested in the aerial dash swich if you have it. Thanks -
ok, so my braided lines arrived today from the forum group buy - and they look the dogs nuts! Now i just need to know if they're a straight forward swap out, or if i will need anything else before i drain and take the system apart. I read somewhere that there was a crush washer - are these a re-usable part? Also do i need special brake spanners, or will standards do? Appreciate the heasds up y'all! (as its a long friggin walk to autobarn!)

So go figure this one, i drop by my local spray shop to ask how much they are looking at for a full colour change re-spray. Straight off he says $15k and thats for just the same colour. Now i have an R33 GTST in AN0, which for all those that don't know is wine red. I would love to have a nice cobalt blue or canary yellow, which once my body kit arrives would look sweet. Then the dude says that i should just sell the 33 and buy a 34. Fair enough, but i actually like my 33. Is this guy just to F*cken soft to say that he cannot be arsed to do the job, so he sledges the car and prices himself out of the market. He wasn't exactly rushed off his feet! (sat on his arse at 3 in the arvo having a chat) Anyone know a good body shop that would do a full spray job; a combo of new gel coat body kit and existing wine red 33 for a price that doesn't equate to nearly half a GTR! Happy to travel to most places in the immediate Sydney area. Personal recommendations appreciated along with any pics of the work they have done for you.. Cheers all

Im in for set R33 GTST Thanks

Definitely Advan, but you pay for what you get. 100k service plus replacing a castor rosd bush and vacuum hose on my S1 r33 GTST was $2k. I had teh same idle issue, turned out it was a split vacuum hose. They also looked over the car to make sure it wasn't a lemon, and that there were no other issues. They definitely know Skylines - do a search on Ebay for their car GRACER.
