whaaay haaay ,,,, ive just checked mine behind the radio, i fitted an aftermarket bluetooth head, and the radio could only find two stations, the two large blackwires from the coax at the radio have a black wire with yellow trace, which should have a 12v feed to it,done mine and hey presto ive got all the radio stations i could need,[funnily the black wire was still conected into the loom but there was no power on it..?]

i have been fitting a new radio in the stag and had the consol out, ive put everything back but the "power" setting on the gearbox switch does not work...[the orange light doesnt come on] ......but the snow setting does[green light comes on] ive checked the local cables on the switch, and they seen fine ,ive disconnected the batt, then took it for a spin but no difference... any one else have similar problems...? art b , england. uk

some valid points there fellas, as its not a finished project im sure theres nothing that cant be tweaked.. ive got a couple of baffles that can fit top and bottom in the air flow, and and i figure where the ali meets the plastic is a good point to drain any that runs up that far, along with a small lip on the top of the scoop to prevent water being pushed up, and maybe a couple of holes at the base of the scoop to drain any collected water there, all part of a project ironing out the wrinkles, wouldnt be worth doin any thing if it was too easy...lol with regards to the bonnet strength, there is not a real issue there, there is a lot of steel in the front edge, and as most of the cut metal is folded back up under the front edge and still adds to the strength, the ribbing that is glued to the surface gives a lot of ridgidity to the flat surface, its not quite as brutal as the pics make out, only a small section, more pics of the mods to follow,

yep i understand that, but surely the cooler the air the less work the intercooler has to do.? and the colder the charge that reaches engine, my idea only copies the original air intake idea, but avoids pulling in air from above the hot rad, a pod filter in a hot engine bay may sound great, but its a lot less effective than my "..induction tunnel" lol, this could have been done from the start with a small amount of effort, but i suppose there are millions of things to consider when building acar......and what we have to do if it was all perfect, heres my pics ; remove front of scoop, make card templates, bend ali base, and lid, remove part of bonnet rib, i cut and bent bits back and then added some rubbertrim, and laquered all around it to prevent rusting view up "tunnel" with out lid. nearly complete i will cover the ali with some carbon fibre sticky plastic later , ive also painted the grill satin black too this gives a 5" x 2 1/2" tunnel through the bonnet edge and into the air filter box pipe im fitting a new hi flow panel filter too

thanx for all the banter... , ya lot still hung over about the convict thing....pmsl, it wasnt me i would have been down there, and left this place for the flood of imigrants that head here....lol..! ive not driven her in the snow,[and yes it was gone in a few hours] but i had a fwd v70 and that was fun, the volvo in the pic is a v70 turbo, but not as much fun as the stag,no heated seats but im thinking of adding these http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...type=osi_widget re road tax, im afraid were on the co2 tax frenzy here, a small diesel is 35 bucks, pa, a new 4x4 over 2.5l ,300 bucks, the stag was in a high insurance bracket group 20....! -
