  14. i think i now have the same problem. I need a longer bearing carrier, but i got no idea where to get them from!
  15. spotted heaps of skylines at the drags tonight. i was the douchebag that stalled it on the line. again.
  16. I got a problem with my coppermix. I got a single plater for a 33gtst. After the job was all done, I found it incredibly hard to select gears, specifically 1st, 2nd, and reverse. I started to do a bit of troubleshooting, so I did a bleed on the slave and master clutch cylinder. After that didn't work I removed and re-fitted the gearstick, to see if the problem was in the shifting mechanism. No good. I started scratching my head a little, and this is where I need your advice guys! I remembered back to fitting the new thrust bearing that I got with the clutch kit. I'd whacked off the old bearing carefully with a rubber mallet. I then pressed on the new bearing. I noticed that the new bearing sat shorter on the old bearing carrier then the old bearing. I didn't think this would be a problem at the time, but now I think it's causing my clutch to not fully disengage, because the bearing is shorter it's not pressing against the pressure plate as much as the old clutch. And now it's messing up the synchro's in the gearbox. Could this be a good reason for the gearbox playing up? Is it possible to get longer bearing carriers? Can I just get a whole heap of big washers to put on the bearing carrier (lol)?
  17. loving so much bold text in this thread.
  18. anthony - try tweakit.net they have a 3076r package, which includes, turbo, lines, dump pipe and spacer and flange. Shipping to the uk will probably set you back an arm and a leg, but it might just be what your looking for. copy-n-pasted from their website: Includes: 1x Garrett GT3076R RB20DET-RB25DET Turbocharger, complete with internal Wastegate and actuator. Fitting Kit Includes: Oil and water lines, Gaskets, Spacer, Studs, Nuts and Silicone Elbow for intake. Optional: Mild Steel or Stainless Steel Dump Pipe (both have separate wastegate pipe blending in three quarters down the dump pipe. The Exhaust Housing has the 5-Bolt Garrett dump pipe flange (Rather than the 6-Bolt Nissan dump pipe flange), so if you are fitting this turbo to a Skyline (R32/R33/R34), then the optional Mild or Stainless Steel Dump pipe is highly recommended. $2,460.00AUD (inc GST) AU $2,236.36AUD(ex GST) AU
  19. yeah i might come down and have a look
  20. i think wholesale suspension in penrith do it as well for $60/$70 a corner. My car rubs too, but I wouldn't do it myself. If you are gonna try, make sure you get yourself a heatgun as well as a pole/hammer/roller or whatever your going to use. I even think you can buy a guard roller from justjap or somewhere like that.
  21. i reckon everything will bolt up except the crossmember. i've just done my clutch yesterday and contemplated the same change your talking about - but i reckon it's risky. even though 26 box's are cheaper then 25's it's still a fair bit of money to risk buying then finding you need to mod your crossmember.
  22. i have absolutly no idea where you guys are getting these short shifters from. ive searched everywhere! edit: oh right, nengun.
  23. $1.29 for utimate in richmond. yeeha!
