  9. oh man - your opening a massive can of worms. I genuinely believe it's a personal preference thing. I'm currently trying to buy myself a trackmule gtr as well, because I believe the awd will reap me quicker lap times, but there's a miriad of reasons whhy either would be better. I guess it comes down to driving style, budget, suspension setup and power, as well as a million other reasons. There are heaps of rwd purists out there who lap quicker then awd cars, I guess thats proof enough that rwd's can be just as quick as gtr's, but then again if you're watching skyline's race on tv and stuff you only tend to see gtr's (obviously for another good reason too) It's up to your own preference.
  10. yup. and don't bother with workshops down there. just do the drive to sydney, or canberra.
  11. my *mate* rates it highly. he's also studying for his ppl though. I'd just buy a legit copy.
  12. im in. but on a sunday agian....we all know what happened last time....
  13. don't qoute me, you'll have to read up on the rta website - but if you leave the rear seat belts in, but take the seat out, it's still legal. The seat itself is only a comfort provision, as long as there is a space for someone to sit, and be restrained via seatbelt, all is good. So you can still take the seat out, just leave the belts in.
  14. congrats mate! he's got racedriver written all over him!
  15. are the bodyparts painted? what colour?
  16. let me guess...military.... there are others down there...you'll see them eventually. the police are amazingly strict on defecting cars down there, so be careful.
  17. pics of anything (after a pic of the plenum mostly)
  18. pretty sure carmate does cf and fg in replica stock bonnets. not 100% on that though.
  19. I don't agree. hot dip it within 20 minutes of stopping the engine. Remember that oil is viscous, therefore it 'expands' and 'contracts' under different temperatures - so it's probably ideal to check your oil when it's warm to simulate oil level when the engine is actually running.
  20. change 02 sensor.
  21. taking the fuses out is a pretty wild step. i'm with Shell, did you tell anyone you take the fuses out? Pretty smart thieves to bring the right fuses with them...
  22. the amp next to the battery is a good idea. i never thought of that when i did mine. excellent job too - looks nice!
  23. yeah wicked light show last night...it's good to check the BOM as often as possible - it really is your friend. Click here for the BoM
