  1. I got the kit from Just jap for $345 through their SAU forum cooler special. pretty damn cheap, it included alloy piping silcon joins and brackats (which are not very useful in the stagea.
  2. Well its christmas time and I had a free day to stick my front mount in! The install went pretty well. I bought a cheap Just Jap R33 kit, and suprisingly everything lined up pretty well. I had to make my own lower brackets that were longer than the ones provided, and dropped the intercooler 30mm to ensure it would fit under the top of the front bar. Other than that it all came together much quicker than I expected! Now it has brought up a few little problems! I had to remove my windscreen washer pump and bottle to make way for the piping! So now i cant clean my windows! Has anyone had this problem, and know of a good solution? like a smaller bottle that works? It now hits boost cut all the time too! so i had to put the standard little brass restrictor back in the vacume to the turbo. Will an SAFC II be able to overide boost cut? I understand the ECU takes a value from the AFM to determin the cut off... Also I cant run the intake feed for the standard air box because it fouls the new piping... I dont really want to run a pod, because they are loud and i want to keep this thing as sleeper and stealth as possible, but it looks like i have no choice, does anyone know a quiet pod? (haha a weird question i know!) Any help here would be awesome! thanks guys! Ben.
  3. I just fitted an R33 intercooler kit yesterday, I had to make the mounting brackets for it, but the piping lined up with a bit of persuation. So R33 kits will work as well
  4. Yeah thats the one from envy. They are quite knowledgable when it comes to stageas. I beleive they sold it 2 weeks ago, and I was there when they were fitting some 19x9 + 10" staggered deep dish rims that were very tasteful, but defenantly require some flaring for the rear. They will be doing a manual conversion for me in the new year! and its ALOT cheaper than anywhere else. www.envyimports.com.au email: [email protected] Just ask for Herman and tell them Ben sent you! haha
  5. yeah its defenantly not afm. Its in the drive for sure, just not sure where yet! im gonna sneak it into the workshop and try have a good look underneath with the hoist and see if anything is visable. I hate it when my car isnt 110%!!!!

    Safc Ii

Hi Guys, Im after an Apexi SAFC II, new or second hand (but prefer new) please email me [email protected] if you have anything! Thanks Ben.
  7. haha I just did, but my symptoms seem different.
  8. Hi Guys im in need of some help here... My stagea has developed a shudder through the steering wheel under heavy load when launching o. It doesnt always happen, and only happens in first or 2nd gear (standard auto still). I have noticed its more likely to happen when i have the wheel turned, say powering out of a round-a-bout. The shudder will continue through first and second gear, if i back off and then accellerate again it dissapears. You can really feel it through the steering wheel, it gets a really strong vibration or shudder. I thought it might have something to do with the front drive shaft or something, but not having a clue about the attessa system or 4wd for that matter, I dont know where to start. Has anyone else had this problem or any ideas on whats causing it? Cheers, Ben.
  9. I have been told they are set to 14psi - which is close to 1bar but if they are set to 0.7bar it would make sense as thats what mine is reaching
  10. Hi Guys, I need a little help or better understanding here. I recently disconected the vacume hoses on my solenoid and ran directly to the actuator to run 0.5bar all the time... I then decided to drill the hole in the little brass restrictor as described by sydneykid to increase to 0.8bar Yet after doing so I still only had 0.5bar. So today I decided to pull the restrictor out completely and see if it would run 1bar as I have been told should happen. But even with the restrictor completely gone it maxed at 0.7-0.8 I have double checked the readings with a second mechanical boost guage, and still have the same results, so its not my guage. The car also has a full exhaust including split dump/front, and high flow pannel filter in the standard air box. Can anyone tell me if these readings sound right as it seems a little low to me? If so any ideas as to what would cause this? Cheers, Ben.
  11. Yeah its a dog on the Stagea! I just fitted an electronic boost guage yesterday, and realised how much more difficult it was compared to my old Skyline. So what I did was to use the same route as the bonnet release cable. Its located inside the drivers foot well, up and to the right of the accellerator pedal. Its a tricky one to use, but keeps all wires neatly out of the way if your running a guage or anything else. Now the hardest part was "threading the needle" I straightened out an old wire coathanger and jabbed it through the rubber boot and fed it through into the bonnet. This isnt as easy as it sounds, because you have to feed that wire through the bonnet via a small hole beside the brake master cylinder. (you can see this in the far top right hand corner of your engine bay, next to some fuses or something). The trick to getting it through there is pre-bending your coat hanger, and having a second person guiding you from above the hole. Once it was through, I just tapped my sensor wires to the coat hanger end, and pulled it all back through in one angry yanking motion! Once its through you are done! nice and neat. Ill take some piccies tonight that should make this explanation a bit clearer. Cheers, Ben.
  12. haha yeah he is very good! and Stageas are beautiful things... Yeah at the moment, its only rims, suspension and exhaust. Once I have done a few more things to the car we will get some real beauty shots of it! Ben.
  13. Yeah 3 remote flashes were used. car parks dont have lighting that good naturally! Ben.
  14. No my brother did. www.chrisbennyimaging.com
  15. They are Axis Hiro rims. 18x8.5 So far I havent done much, just the wheels, split dump/front, metal cat and filter. (it already had a cat back) I will eventually get front mount, high flow and SAFC. I want about 200kw @ the wheels, but that will have to wait seeing as i blew all my cash on the new wheels! Ben.
  16. Hi Guys, Just wanted to show off some nice pics that were taken of my car today. Big thanks to my brother Chris for taking the shots. To see more cool pics visit his site www.chrisbennyimaging.com Here is a shot of the Stagea when I got it last month: And here it is now:

  18. I dont beleive there is a Masa distributor in Australia, but Im sure slidewize imports can get them through yahoo auctions. http://www.slidewizeimports.com/products/y...inksStagea.html I have seen them on there before. Cheers, Ben.
  19. Im pretty sure they are the Masa Sports skirts
  20. oohh interesting! check your PM Nick
  21. Im in Sydney, but I can organise a courier to collect from anywhere in Aus.
  22. Im after a set of R33 GTR wheels, I dont mind if they have tyres or not. If you have something please email me [email protected] Pics would be a bonus too Cheers, Ben.
  23. I got a set of really good Thule ones for mine. They actually have the stagea listed on their international roof rack guide. But beware! The Aero Bars they list are incorrect! but the footing kit fits perfectly. For the Aero Bars, you just have to measure the distance between both rails and let the guys at Thule know. They will match something up for you. Mine have been awesome, they are super easy to remove too if you need. No tools required, just your key.
  24. Yeah I will defentantly need a highflow and SAFC or similar to get there, but the options above are just to begin with. Dyno to start isnt a bad idea, but i dont think ill have any a/f probs until i start making a few more mods, so I might leave that till after a few mechanical changes. Then I can make adjustments with an SAFC. Cheers, ben.
  25. So, I have now had the Stagea for a month and am absolutely loving it... but ive got the itch. With all these crazy bargains and group buys available on SAU, you would have to be nuts not to make a few modifications! Right??? Well the plan is: - Keep it sleeper, nothing over the top - make it handle and look subtly aggressive - 200awkw The car already has coil-overs, cat back exhuast, high flow panel filter. Now I dont know what I should do first. My budget will allow the following options: a) Intercooler/EBC - Bar and plate Just Jap $345 special (any good?) + Quality EBC b) Rims/Tyres - Koya Drift Tek 17"(Maybe not sleeper enough) or R33 GTR 17" quiet but aggressive c) Dump/front and cat - BTMBL group buy or similar I would love to hear what fellow Stagea drivers think, or experiences had. Cheers, Ben. I got bored and photosoped some Drift Tek wheels on my car (I feel like a kid again haha)
