  1. i have 18X8.5 front and rear with 225/40 streached over them so they dont hit the guards, i dont know the offset, but my guards have not been rolled. these things JUST fit without hitting anything.
  2. well there has been alot of crap talk in here, who is actually going to be at WSID this wed night?
  3. i heard sometime ago that they were releasing the T3 flange model, i dont know if they have yet or not. but when they first came out it was only in T25 for RB26 and SR engines. so they should be out by now! i hope anyway
  4. well done, im really pissed mine didnt work! i dont understand why, but my car wouldnt accept them, when i changed back to standard cams there were none of the problems i had before with idling! congrats! might have to try it again sometime in the future.
  5. I am interested in buying a HKS GT-RS turbo, new or 2nd/h at the right price. I am after a T3 stlye flange to fit RB20/25 manifold. please PM me if you have one Ben.
  6. I would recomend one of the new HKS GT-RS turbos, all the reports and tests i have heard are very impressive. they flow more than a 2540 but have the response of a 2530. i have a 2530 on my RB20 and that makes 225rwkw so a GT-RS would easily make 260rwkw on a 2.5L with awesome response. Has anyone on here got this turbo? cause i want one!
  7. i used an adaptor for my BOV, its really easy to make, i bought a left over piece of stainless cheet about 3-4mm thick, placed the std BOV gasket over the top and stenciled the shape, hole position etc, cut that out and bought a stainless pipe elbow the same internal diameter as the BOV and you have yourself a perfect adaptor! just paid someone $10 to weld the two pieces together.
  8. greenline.jp is pretty good too
  9. hey mate i have one in fantastic condition, only ever did about 70,000kms, barely any shaft play. no chips or marks on compressor or exhaust wheels $200 PM if your interested
  10. "Anyone else into road racing ?" no way! its all about mountain bikes cameron! go the phat tyre! Bump, and good luck
  11. interesting sydneykid. If only i got the GTR cams to work but all my support systems are great, i havent skimped anywhere apart from engine management... considering i have good a/f ratios at higher boost, would you consider it necessary to install a thicker metal headgasket?
  12. nice, what is your a/f ratio?
  13. yeah i have all the support systems needed, however i still have stock injectors. but when playing on the dyno last week, higher fuel pressure saw the a/f drop below 10 Fast31 are you running 20psi on the road all the time, or only when you race/dyno etc? also did you pull the timing out of base timing or are you talking about the ignition timing on your remaped ecu/or other management? i dont mind giving it a quick power run at 1.4bar but doubt i will run the car on the road or track at this boost level.
  14. well as you can see on my print-out im making max power around 6000rpm or earlier. but i think i will have to give it a bit at least just on the dyno to see what happens, however driving it with that much boost might be a bit risky.
  15. yeah the A/F ratio is awesome on yours! i need to get mine like that. was it Paul who tuned your car? he was very helpful and knows his stuff, he showed me some stuff on a 900hp NA V8 he recently built! imagine having an NA 900hp engine! I really need to invest in a PFC! anyone got one cheap for me? hehe yours will pull some awesome numbers once the boost is in mark.
  16. Hey guys, i know its the age old question "how much boost do you run?" or how much can you safely run. But i am interested to see what kind of boost you run on your RB20 and what internal changes you have made in order to do so. eg metal headgasket, forgies as well as turbo set up etc. I ran a max of 1.2 bar (18psi) on my internally stock RB20 last week on the dyno with no problems. using a HKS 2530 what do you think is the max i could/should run with this turbo set up, assuming i have plenty of fuel to flow and good cooling? cheers! Ben.
  17. yeah i plan to get it on the dyno again next week before WSID on wed night, I might just do one power run on high boost, but i get a little scared, this is my everyday driver so i need it to run reliably But like i have said before, i need to have a dyno print-out with over 300rwhp and my name on it. just so i can say i have over 300hp what does everyone else think about running around 1.4 bar? on a stock RB20 with std headgasket? i was considering running the 1.2bar when i race, but for everyday i only run between 0.8 and 1.1bar.
  18. well this thread is intended for the 30th! as in wed next week the 30th thats when i will be racing and hope to see a few other there!
  19. memph you will need to make some modifications to fit the front bar as they are about 30cm wider than a GTS front bar, but it can be done, see my sig.
  20. Im sure yours should be sweet, you have all the bits on you need. I need a PFC to straighten out my A/F ratio and should see a better curve, might give a little more timing too just so i can say i have over 300rwhp hehe
  21. yeah my 2530 keeps on spinning too. must be those great GT bearings haha
  22. the difference is also yours is 2.5L and mine is only 2L i think the engine characteristics are fairly different, but i would like to see an overlay.
  23. i duno if this helps, but on most of the electronic controlers i have used, one goes from the wastgate actuator, the other to the compressor housing and the third goes back to the boost controler to measure/read boost levels (but that one is usually seperate to the solanoid) fits a line from the intake somewhere.
  24. good to hear some one else will be! what you driving?
