  1. go to Dahtone in Wetherill Park and Anthony will fix you up. Looks after you whether you're a first timer or regular customer.
  2. i want one.
  3. Look forward to meeting you at a meet!
  4. Jimbo There is a difference between power at the fly and power at the wheels, dont get confused.
  5. you're looking at a pretty large bond in excess of 10k. it makes hiring the car for that purpose unreasonable. just share a limo with your friends
  6. Saw a white R35 with black rims last night on Kent Street, Sydney. It was rolling up to the lights and I went bezerk "OH MY GOD!!!!!!" He stopped at the lights, heard me screaming....light turned green, and he hammered it down. Sounded like he has an aftermarket exhaust setup. I creamed my pants. Literally. The Mrs wasn't happy.
  7. Welcome to SAU Julian. Hope you find what you're looking for. Enjoy your stay! If you have any problems dont hesitate to PM or ask someone! Cheers Shanil
  8. I would go for a high flow panel filter from K&N or Apexi. You can buy the K&N filter from Autobarn and the Apexi one most i think some traders on the forum sell. In terms of the pod filter, again I would go for a K&N or Apexi. Depending on which state you're in, not sure if this would be a defect modification for you. Studies have shown the Apexi produces most power with the best filtration with the K&N coming in second best. Cheers
  9. probably the NGK Iridiums...i had the part number written down on my wall, but has gone missing!
  10. After looking at some R33 GT-R's I have become very fond of them...There are some really nice clean ones around. Oh and at the shopping centre today I bought one ticket to go in to the draw to win a FPV Boss Sedan (no idea what it was - never looked into the Boss range). Hopefully that one lucky ticket is a winner! Thanks again for all your input fellas.
  11. Enjoy your stay!
  12. Thanks for the write up Michael.... I have decided not to spend the whole 35k on a car and have taken the Typhoon off my list. Looking at R33 GT-R, R34 GT-T, XR6T's now. If something decent like an STi or Evo 7 or 8 comes across I will consider it. No longer considering the Typhoon as per the write-up's on this thread and finding out the potential XR6T's have relative to it. Toy - just enjoy on weekends, do not plan on doing any track work. Good thing you mentioned investments ... over the last two years I have been dollar cost averaging on the ASX and have accumulated a nice amount of money that will get me through a few years of university if I realise the gain/(loss). I have reduced my budget so I don't have to sell all my investments and be broke. I want to have something left for a rainy day. The upcoming semester will be my first semester of full-time study so I will get my first taste of student poverty... Cheers for all your comments guys/girls...
  13. free bump for a great car one query - how many kms?
  14. Welcome to SAU David! Very nice looking GTR there - looking for one myself! If you need anything, have a search around the forums and make yourself at home! Also feel free to PM other members for help and advice! Hopefully I will get to meet you at an upcoming cruise. Cheers Shanil
  15. if you decide to sell again can you please post pics to [email protected]
  16. Top Secret Imports, Forge Street Blacktown, would be the first place I would try. Heard only good things from customers! Met Garry Sandher who runs the place at the GT-R cruise, great bloke! There is also a new dealer on Parramatta Road just past Frederick Street going towards the city. They have just recently been established so might give that a try!
  17. This is a great car....I am selling my non turbo R34 at the moment....hopefully before you sell yours so I can make an offer.
  18. Nick - Sam's first shot of the Macquarie Bank building was taken on Shelley Street from in front of Bungalow 8. Right next to Cockle Bay Wharf. Nice shots!
  19. Thats what I want. Not for my mates, but just for the occasions (and there will be plenty) when I will need to seat passengers. I drove a Falcon AU for my first car and the four doors really make a difference. Going to the two door Skyline would frustrate me sometimes. As for cornering - I don't plan on hairpin turns everyday. I just want something that has very good bite on the straights and can corner fairly well. There is a 350RWKW 2005 MKII F6 currently on sale for $32,000 which I am currently looking at. Also looking at a few 34 GTT's plus have an import broker on the lookout at the auctions in Japan. PS as a result of this thread I have brought the XR6T in to the equation basically because of the reasonable power and cheaper price. Considering I havn't driven turbo or supercharged vehicles before, I do have in the back of my mind that if I buy the F6 I will get in to trouble playing with too much power. I drove a 190rwkw turbo vehicle yesterday on private property....and f*** me thats alot of power already.
  20. Welcome to the forums! Would be great to post up some pics of your ride! Enjoy!
  21. +1 What I have learnt during the last three years but couldn't put it in to words. Could not have been put together any better.
  22. Not a problem mate, am interested but have to get rid of mine first! Cheers
