2JZ I would love to buy and own - but two members in my family have just purchased one each, so looking for something different. They're absolute animals I agree. Not interested in an STi although the Evo 8 sounds quite tempting....might consider looking in to it! Haha yeah been working full-time studying part-time for the two years straight after my HSC in 2007 so have saved up a bit of cash. Will be getting a bit of help from the folks as well. Will not be taking out a loan to finance it. Thats a good alternative also...don't want a 33GT-R though....I love the 32GT-R shape but theyre too old and 34GT-R's are too dear. Will be using the car as a weekend car only, with weekday driving a rarity. Ive had my non-turbo 34 for two years...and man I've just had to deal with too much crap looking for and paying a premium for certain parts. It's really put me off buying a 10+ year old car. Thanks for all the input fellas!! Keep it coming! Mark - cheers mate...I will be making quite a big financial commitment purchasing either of the mentioned cars, but I will have regular cash inflow during my years at uni. Dad has recommended the G6E turbo this morning...Says he might pitch in a bit more if I go for that.

R34 Gt Non Turbo For Sale, Perfect For P-plater!
SHANE666 replied to PR34CH's topic in For Sale (Private Whole cars only)
Can't believe this hasn't been sold yet... Bloody bargain at that price. -
Toy! I have four years of full-time university left, so it will be public transport 5 days a week! I have owned two Ford Falcon's before and found them much more convenient to own than the GT25. During the four years I will be doing bookkeeping work so should have regular cash inflow. I am quite a Ford fanatic and the xr6t was my first preference until I saw how 'cheap' the Typhoons are currently in the market.

Thats a good point Dave. And further to your and Brandon's point.... R34GTT I am purchasing a 10+ year old car which is holding me back + maintenance will set me back a bit. R34 GT-R I can't afford at the moment. R32 and R33 GT-R's, however good and tough they may be, they are still 15+ year old cars and maintenance isn't cheap on those either. Im looking at a 2004 or 2005 F6 Typhoon in the comparison which would set one back at most 35k, based on looking thoroughly through carsales.com.au

I am a 20 year old who has been deprived of 3 years of happiness due to NSW Provisional licence restrictions. It's time to unleash.

As the title states - I am in the market for a F6 Typhoon for R34 GTT. I really am leaning towards the FPV but should there be something grossly wrong with it, I might consider the R34 GTT. Currently own a R34 GT25. What do you guys/girls think?? What advice can you provide for me?

You will gain a little bit of power going from the stock R34 N/A exhaust which I think is 2" in diameter to a mild steel 2.5" exhaust. You will gain a bit more power if you have an aftermarket exhaust all the way through from the extractors to cannon. High flow cat and resonator will add to the performance. Dont expect wild gains with this setup alone though. The cannon solely will make very little difference to performance, you will most likely gain some rumble!

R34 Gt Non Turbo For Sale, Perfect For P-plater!
SHANE666 replied to PR34CH's topic in For Sale (Private Whole cars only)
This is a great car. The car offers great value for the asking price. One of the nicest 34 GT25's I've seen. Shehan has really looked after it well! -
Not a problem mate. In my signature there is a link to the SAU NSW membership form. I think you can place some cash in an envelope and send it (not the smartest thing, but in your case the only possible way of payment). No need to own a Skyline to be part of the club - there are many individuals, both junior and senior members, who drive cars other than a Skyline! If you have any problems, I am happy to help you out mate!

Jason is correct. I told myself I would buy a Corolla after the R34 'cause it would be just cheaper to run considering I will not be working for a few years...but no effin way! a copy/paste about my car from another thread.... "I am interested in selling my Silver Semi-Auto R34 N/A. 1998 model, just ticked over 90,000kms. Driven like a grandma, it was my first car out of high school. It took me from Nov 07 on my red P's till today, 2 weeks out of my full license. Bought it from Nagoya Motors in Caringbah, rego till Nov 2010. I will also throw in a 100,000km service pack bought directly from Nissan. Always serviced with Motul 300V Chrono, have receipts. Always washed, polished, waxed with Meguairs products. Only modification is the exhaust, which is a non-defect mod FYI. Have 350z series one wheels on them. Came with the stock pop-up screen in the centre console, first owner in Australia." If you are interested, we can discuss price via PM once you reach 10 posts. I do not wish to make this an advertisement.

Hi Eric Great to hear you are interested in purchasing a Skyline! They are great cars to drive on your p-plates. It would be helpful to read a number of threads on the forums and get a feel for what it is like to own and maintain a GT25. Just because you have a Skyline doesn't mean you will get defected, there are ways to achieve the power gains you seek whilst avoiding the risk of being defected. I am currently interested in selling my 1998 R34 GT25 which I bought on my Provisional-1 licence. I will be off my P's in a few weeks time, so if you are keen in purchasing one sometime in the near future, please PM me. Will most likely price to sell because I am after a turbo! Cheers Shanil

Pretty sure the 34GTT ones are a perfect fit for your 34GT25

first car Ford Falcon AU ex-taxi ~900,000km's on the clock, LPG, handbrake didnt work, when idle you would have to apply the brakes and rev to 2,000rpm to keep the car alive. And drove like a dream.

Motul 300V Chrono Second service I've used it - same result...very happy with it! Castrol Edge, from word of mouth, seems to do a very good job also!
