  1. Why did this spastic have to do this in a skyline? FFS this gives me the shits! There's no way jail is the right punishment for this guy though, loss of license for an extended period is a must IMO. I'm not sure what the laws are regarding second offenses for things like this, but - IF he was to jump in another car and do something as stupid again (without a license) should he then be facing a much more serious sentence? Such as prison? I agree 100% with jail being a place to hold those that are deemed a danger to society. And surely if some idiot proves that they will act recklessly endangering the lives of innocent motorists/pedestrians after being 'warned' once with a disqualification, then honestly isn't prison going to be the correct punishment? I guess time will tell if this loser learns his lesson though. On the other hand, maybe they could just sentence him to owning a hyundai getz forever??
  2. Crap forgot about the CLK55! I never got to drive a 63 though We actually only ever had one come through our workshop.
  3. WooHoo! Can't wait for this! I still play forza 2 more than any of my other games lol.
  4. Pussy Speaking of bikes though....here's some of my faves
  5. Definitely fair enough. Can you imagine if it was Mclaren or another team wanting to test a new driver? I highly doubt Ferrari would be very supportive of it. In saying that, I hope he goes well and comes second behind Webs
  6. Dear god who would put the car in gear with the handbrake on and crank it over to undo the harmonic balancer bolt??? I have undone heaps of balancer bolts (none on skylines though) and most of the time I've used the breaker bar and wedged it with a rag into the chassis somewhere. But in neutral! Why on earth would you put it in gear??
  7. turbo on an R1 is awesome! lol. I'll be keen to see how this goes, keep us posted!!
  8. No no i didn't say mercs are all slow. Some of them are brilliant. Just the C180, C200's (including the kompressor's) and a few others are pretty slow. The SL55, E55, SLK55 etc are great fun! The C32 was actually one of my favourites as well. I loved driving around in a S500 when they first came out with the 7 speed auto. Really went well for what it is. One of the things that made some of the merc's feel a bit slow was that the other cars I worked on were Porsche's (mind you some of them are just plain horrible!)
  9. Sounds fair enough to me Alex I only asked as I used to work for Merc and knowing how slow they are I was just curious to know the reasons behind the R34 > C200 switch. (Especially if the car in your sig is your old 34!) In saying that, they certainly are comfortable. They stop brilliantly, have a gazillion gadgets, and I must admit I don't mind the looks. Still if it were me I'd have still probably bought something jap
  10. Really? Busa- 1/4 Mile ET: 8.442 1/4 Mile MPH: 166.980 1/8 Mile ET: 5.521 1/8 Mile MPH: 136.870 0-60 Foot ET: 1.430 Well almost anything....
  11. How much cash do you have to spend? I can't see many 'just off their P's' guys being able to afford a 300awkw evo 9 lol. Although wouldn't it be nice!! I reckon if you don't wanna spend heaps n heaps of cash for something nice n fast, do what i did and get a bike And that's a 600. If you really have really big nuts jump on a thou
  12. Gotta ask.... Why a C200 merc?
  13. I've been waiting for this to get posted Only thing is I work Sundays so it looks like I won't be able to go this year
  14. Must be a great place to live, Finland.....
  15. Just wondering guys what size are the factory speakers? 6" or 6.5" im guessing.
  16. They are pretty easy to wire in, and it should have a pretty straight forward wiring diagram to help you out too. Helps if you have a test light to check for your constant power, accessory power and earth though...
  17. May be keen on the cam gear and injectors if u end up selling.... As for what you should do with them, I guess that depends on what you're plans are for the car down the track vs do you want some cash now...
  18. Car: 98 R34 GTT, basic mods - 3"exhaust, 12psi, power fc. Fuel: BP ultimate $ Per Tank: Well based on what I've been paying of late, and the tank is 65L i guess that makes it about $85 to fill from dry Kilometers Per Tank (Based On Driving Area & Driving Style): If I was to use the entire tank, based on my last few fill ups I would get somewhere between 620 and 660km. (avg consumption has ranged between 9.9L/100km & 10.5L/100km) I do a fair bit of highway driving. Probably around 65-70%. I don't give it a hard time too much either.
  19. Do you have power at the injector plug? I think it's called a noid light.... plugs onto the injector plug (take it off the injector first) and the light pulses with injector operation....kinda crappy explanation, but yeah....
  20. Funny how everyone seems to insist that oil changes must be done at a maximum of 5000km or else your engine will surely explode....(slight sarcasm there) I too change my oil every 5000km as I am fairly pedantic (always have been with my cars), but I'm not convinced that leaving it till 10000km is going to be all doom and gloom for your engine. I know that the newer Porsche's have a service interval of 30,000km or 2 years. Farkin ridiculous if you ask me, but that's the interval. For mine if you change your oil regularly, then the turbolight will be fine. I use it anyway...
  21. The 290kw ute.... that's flywheel power I'm assuming as you didn't say rwkw. 300rwkw I believe is closer to 400kw at the fly. So why the need for so much?
  22. That's the truth ^^^
  23. Pretty big call to make that none of them are in the top 50 in the world. I'm not saying you're wrong, but it's kinda hard to prove a statement like that.
  24. Spotted a black 32 last night at about 6:30 i think it was, coming off the roundabout in rothwell in front of Wow.
