Spotted a 4 door white R34 heading north on the bruce around caboolture at bout 5:30 this morning. Anyone on here?

Thanks for that nismo, I was actually thinking about suggesting if anyone thought that might help, but thought i'd look like a total knob hahaha. Ill give it a go and let you know what happens! The thought also crossed my mind that the noise could be normal as i've never used coil overs in any of my cars before! Cheers for all the help guys!

They are 2nd hand....only done 10,000km tho supposedly! I put the metal plates back in the rear, (the ones that go between the strut and the body) and it hasnt really made any difference. Bugger. Im hoping that the shocks arent stuffed in them already! sorry forgot to mention daz, i checked for movement with the car raised and there is none. thanks for your help so far guys

Nah the boots empty. I guess ill just have to keep playin around with them until i find what it is!

Ok done a bit more reading..... When I fit the new coil overs I didnt refit the metal plate that was between the strut and the body in the rear as the new ones are damper adjustable so didnt really want the adjustment screw being covered up by it! Could that cause the knock?

Gday guys, I have just finished fitting a set of tein coil overs into my R34 GTT. Went for a drive and noticed a knock from the rear. I just went over all the nuts n bolts to make sure they are tight and everyting is. Just wondering if anyone has had something like this before and knows what it could be?? Thanks guys!

Im running 10psi in my R34, only other mod is the exhaust....425km, only took 47L to fill it. Not too bad i dont think.

Thanks for that daniel, thats the kind of advise i like....personal experience. Especially when you have used all three of the ecu's i have been contemplating! I think its time i start searching for a 2nd hand pfc! Thanks for all your help guys!

Well was thinkin of using the Emanage ultimate....controls fuel and timing and still half the cost of the fc. Unless someone has a reason why the pfc is $700 better than the EMU?

Thanks for that rev, all i wanted to know. Ill probly go with the EMU then, pfc is a bit too expensive im thinkin at over $1500... Cheers

Ok guys its a pretty simple question but after searching couldnt really get an answer. All i want to know is will the AFC neo support 250rwkw along with all the other necessary mods? Or is it necessary to use an EMU or other.... 250rwkw is my goal over the next few years so want something that will support it from the beginning. Thanks guys!

Yeah the last boost tells ya what it was as u let off the accelerator, not a drop in boost. I really just need to get a mate to come for a drive with me so i can see whats happenin. Like I said before ill try out the settings u mentioned and see what i get with them... -

It probly is.... like i said im still playin around with it and have only had it for a couple of weeks... ill give ur settings a go tomorrow and see what happens. It was hard for me to tell if it was dropping off much as i couldnt look at the guage as i was driving and was only relying on the peak boost and last boost features on the EBC. If the boost is dropping off try increasing the gain setting by 1 or 2 increments at a time. just keep an eye on the peak boost. its a good idea to clear it before trying out new settings. Where abouts are you from? -

what i would do is just turn the knob up a couple of % at a time. dont forget u gotta press the knob in to actually set it. just dont go upping the gain or set gain too much. It should only be adjusted up like 1 increment at a time....at least once its close to being right anyway Have you gone for a run with those settings tho?? -

I havent even been in my car since yesterday so nah havent tried em out yet. It sucks in the rain i get to much wheelspin in second gear... With the warning, i have never hit it as ive been conservative with my settings as not to overboost. But yeah according to the manual the warning light comes on and the unit will lower boost by whatever you set the limiter to. -
Does the 350 include postage? BTW shouldnt this really be in the for sale forum....

mine hasnt spiked at all with those settings. the warning can be set to whatever you want so if u want it to alert u at say 12psi then just set it to that. -

to check the set just turn the nob but dont press it in...it will display the current setting and go away on its own. for the gain just press the mode button once, press it twice for set gain, and all the other settings are the warning and limiter and peak boost etc... let me know what they are set to atm and what kinda boost ur getting... -

LOL i am hardly an expert! Ive only had it on there for bout 2 or 3 weeks and been playing with it tryin to get it somewhere right. just went and had a look at my settings and atm they are- set: 40% gain:27 set gain:6psi its holding boost pretty well but needs more fine tuning. also been hard cause ive been trying to do it on my own... My cars mods are just 3" turbo back and a K&N panel so pretty stock... hope that was of some help to ya! oh also just adding the peak boost with those settings was 10.3psi....not sure of the rpm(bit hard to drive and look at it lol) -

I run a GReddy profec on my GTT also and have found that just playin with the gain setting in particular can help stop the boost dropping off in the higher revs. Im only running 10psi hi boost and still playin round with the settings but have managed to get it pretty good and hold the 10. I also have a 3" system off the back of the turbo that prob helps a bit too tho. Good luck!
