I bought my car in Victoria and transferred the rego to NSW.
You need all the documents from Victoria.
When you get the car to NSW you need to get a pink slip done, if it doesn't pass the pink slip then the mechanic will give you a white slip listing what needs to be fixed. After you get the white slip cleared you take it back to the mechanic to get the pink slip.
Then you need to get a green slip, get some qutoes from some insurance companies to find the best deal...i ended up getting myne from AAMI.
After you get the pink and green slip take the car to the RTA and book a time for the vehicle to be inspected for a blue slip. I cleared the blue slip inspection the first go so I am not sure what happens if you fail that part. After they give you the papers just take it into the RTA and get the rego all done and your ready to go.
It's been nearly a year since my car has been regoed in NSW so I am not 100% but I am pretty sure that I covered everything.
Good luck with it brother, should be able to get through it easily if the car is stock and clean
