    34 Gt-toffset..

thanks both for the responses and it's what I was looking for... I put the info for the adjustables in as it's fairly low and thought, correct me if im wrong, will throw off the standard settings a bit.
  3. Hi All, Canyone know what the correct offset should be on a 34 gtt? Am aware that being I adjustables it will throw it out when lowered, but would be great to have a starting point. Thanks. G
  4. All you need to do is find out standard rim and tyre diameter that they came factory with, and then change your rims and tyres to your hearts content within the limitations of QLD Transport..... speaking of which, anyone know the TOTAL diameter for a 34gtt? Me thinks I might need to look at getting rid of some things that keeps the rims off the brakes sometime... Can't use the "but I bought it that way from the dealer excuse" if I get pulled up for the little bits of metal....
  5. I'm trying to read the hidden lines/info here.... I think you're trying to say that previously for something you did, a police occifer impounded your veh..... you have since got it back yadda yadda yadda and now you have received this letter saying that they have basically looked at the situation and what happened and it shouldn't have been impounded? It sounds like that, and they're admitting that what they did was wrong.... if so, then possibly look at talking to a lawyer about possibly recovering the costs you incurred from them impounding it.... ie, towing if you got hit with it, and fees to have it released, public transport for which you normally wouldn't have to use.... Could be the other shoe and they want you to try it and screw you over more down the track... it's a little hard to say what to do if you were asking for advice if you don't explain it well...
  6. Thanks for all the replies... I tried a search in forced induction, but kinda came up with a lot of stuff I didn't want as well, some of the ones I looked at were same or similar things to do. Coming up to another service so will end up with a major tune once I find a good shop on the northside and see how it all ends up.
  7. Jesse, did urs come and go? Reason why I ask, I went to work this morning and it did it barely, and then nothing, was fine every time I went into that range under load....
  8. ah shoulda added.... plugs aren't too old, about 4000kms, iridium's gapped smaller than standards to around 0.95 from memory
  9. As the title states.... under load car starts missing around 4200 through to 6k and then revs through fine.... no engine mods done, (that I'm aware of), pretty much always been ultimate fuel (bp is at end of street) on my r34. Any ideas from past experiences...
  10. I'm not affraid of the boys, I'm affraid of the fat car tarts coming up for pics with the car and they sit on the bonnet and make a creator..but then again, You now need to be more wary of the grannie with their broom sticks.... I think I heard, (im almost certain) that when Dawn agreed to look at the car, she turned around to him and said, you should go and hang out with other people and talk about them, or something very very similar
  11. Just reregistered my 34 recently.... all CTP is very very similar price in QLD within about $10 max from memory.... I'm with Allianz with mine ( I work for them, so I know wat I get for it... no discount still) 6 months is $333.00 total, $144.00 for ctp, rest was rego and fee and fee blah blah blah... 12 months was $634.95, $272.00 ctp rest is government pocket's stuff..
  12. Anyone go and have a look if she was there.... take ur esky and chairs and pull up in the liners next to her and have a picnic.
  13. Quoted from The Courier Mail site.... "i personally know the brother of the victim of this accident. the brother would like to say thanks to the support from understanding people. u never wish this upon anybody he also would like to add that this accident was also involving another car which hit matts skyline which ran him of the road. i seen the car n the site n have the pictures of the car 2 prove another car had hit the back of matts car..." for the read... go here, comments are down the bottom http://www.news.com.au/couriermail/story/0...26-3102,00.html
  14. I'd like a PM of the guys details if possible..... I work for an insurance company that does Domestic insurance and can check up if it's through us... not the car, as we dont do imports, but I can check for his house/contents.
  15. I'd have to agree.... I haven't posted much still, but after buying my 34 late last yr and getting chris to do my install, I'd reccomend him anytime... World of help to me also... that reminds me... I really need to call again to sort out the last bit to be done....
  16. This is where comprehensive insurance comes in... it's called damage whilst parked... you pay ur excess, the company repairs ur car... Any company that wont cover that under comp I'd be steering clear of. Now imagine if National Service was still in here and all the do-gooders that want this that and the other stopped weren't around... Australia would be nowhere near as bad as it was. Kinda like in the paper today that Anna Bligh is considering bring in double demerit points during holiday periods if it really does reduce the road tolls like other states.... When they start educating people properly when they are young might be a better start to sorting out crap like the OP was speaking about and the violence going on... that as well as stop slapping these tools on the wrists and letting them go. There would definately be 2 sides to the story with the OP, I told my olds and mum said there was something else recently where some driver threw their cig butt out the window and someone picked it up and threw it back in the car. I think she said this was a woman in the car, but could be something along those lines as well and stuff being said...

ummmm I can't see where I mentioned the 2JZ-GTE, but only the 2JZ... True that the sc300 is only a car, most things that have steering wheels, 4 tyres and a 2jz in it would be considered a car. Although I'm sure there's some trash on the road that people may choose to call otherwise. Research has showed me that it could be debatable that the 1st 2JZ could have been in varying cars 1st, of which include the Crown Royal, Crown Majesta and also the Aristo. Yes the 2JZ-GTE first appeared in the Aristo, but not necessarily the 2JZ as I stated. So by all means, feel free to flame, correct or anything else you choose to do, but next time read what is said before telling someone to go do some research... I do believe that the Aristo and the Lexus GS300 are the same vehicle according to research, with the Aristo being the Japanese version, but my previous research still has the SC300 housing a 2JZ before the Aristo. BTW, it's doZe, z and u are nowhere near each other on the keyboard for it to be a typo

If you really want to get technical, your aristo has a lexus sc300 motor in it.... the variations of the 2jz just came from it.

    Car Insurance !

Suncorp were decent for premium, just sting the a$$ out of you for excesses... you will find that most major insurer's won't touch imports, there's a couple that will with next to no mods. You could also try insurance brokers who should be able to find a few places for you and give you options.... Alternatively, call the insurance ombudsman and tell them the trouble you are having and noone being able to help you and they might help you with companies that can...
