I called up Yesterday 8.30 am and Margaret a spokesperson was asked a leading question as to whether CAFE2U had a policy about what happens if their primary van operator is sick, that a backup operator takes his/her place? She said, "Most definitely." I said, "Well the system broke down yesterday (Sunday)!!!" I added, "Not only did he not turn up, he also never call for backup, he also had the temerity to suggest we were only worth 1 hour's work and he was thinking of serving us whilst on cold n flu tablets. I'm a pharmacist and you never ever serve food n drink whilst flu is still virulent! " After 9am the manager Karen called me and stated beyond her profuse apology that this will never happen again under her watch. We'll see next month. At least the lady operator has already called up to confirm. I did issue a warning to Karen that a Plan B must always be in place.

Yup! 5 entrants have PM'd asking for free DVDs so far. Each 30 min DVD contains 7 mins of engine bays during scrutineering + 25 mins of each entrant doing 2 runs on different courses in the morning.

I'll be sending out 30 minute DVDs tomorrow to drivers who PM me with their address. They're free any entrants who ask. I have 3 PMs so far! Compliments of SAU!

Vid is done - Old school mini disk Copper responded to a resident's query a long way away. He's happy. He didn't want to do our course in his Camry though. CAFE2U never farken came despite 30 calls and messages. Deadbeats!!!

We live in interesting times whilst money has tightened up for over a month now. Trades and professions have been getting less calls. Retail sales in the motoring industry have struggled. Unless recommendations are coming through, salespeople in various places have become desperate. One grey import proprietor in Blacktown (over the past week) was attempting to procure money that was not his own. I feel saddened to know that there are owners of several JDMs out there who have been diddled by the greedy and unscrupulous. The knock-on effect is that the more knowledgeable members of SAU will now demand to see Japanese history of JDMs before becoming a 2nd or 3rd owner here in Australia. The Executive of SAU.NSW have taken action since 2012 to keep updating a list of suspicious characters. Through information that keeps filtering through, I can only anticipate that the greedy and unscrupulous will only become more desperate. Maybe they should find another job!
