  1. Very interesting - simply beautiful!
  2. So happy for you Stolen car thread in VIC probably needs your input!
  3. Thank you Adam!
  4. What's that song? Great song! And furthermore, what's the app you can get that assimilates the song being played and then tells you what that song is?
  5. I don't buy from transvestites > where there's smoke there's fire.
  6. I have several things to say about Chris of Craved Coatings 1) If he identifies an aberration with a rim, he will contact the owner to get it rectified before sanding and coating 2) Chris has identified the colour code "Nismo Black" that he uses on LMGT4s 3) He inserts a resin into the powdercoat to make it more 'slippery' and for less adherence of brake dust 4) Chris guarantees his work
  7. Many many thanks Craig. I'm a lucky man! He's a lucky lucky man. Many beauties there are indeed! When we organised the R34 GTR 10th Anniversary 5 years ago I was absolutely gobsmacked when one tallied up millions of dollars of machinery present on the day! And yet we have bang for your buck type cars... Absolutely amazing!!!
  8. Nice story but... Couldn't have been me - I'm 64.
  9. Yup, this is the spot lol...
  10. A personal import NSX brought in from Honkers or Nippon may be your best bet. A personal import may be brought for just that reason though - to make a profit.
  11. Bobby is also from Sydney BTW Bobby can you PM me your postal address so I can send you your Membership Forms pls? Cheers Terry
  12. Hahaaaaa...
  13. You mean you'd like one of us 'innocents' to aid and abet a crime? *cough
  14. Thanks in advance
  15. Re Powdercoating That didn't come up in our SAU.NSW Tech Arvo at Wheel Centre (aka Simmons Wheels).
  16. If any country were suitable for an open top car, it'd have to be ours. However our population can't justify it. Now that I've seen the R35 convertible ^^^ and also an R34 convertible 3 yrs ago, I'd have to say it IS a head turner. Being a love or hate thing, many people also won't like it. Purists won't like it. Those who'd buy a Ferrari California will. At my age and with racing behind me, it does look attractive. Even the 250GT California still looks sweet. And wherever the sun shines, there's a market!
  17. PM me if you can fabricate those collars won't you?

    Any sound-vid Andy?
  19. Hmmm... Now I want to know how to get such a tow truck so I can park my mother-in-law's car into such a spot!
  20. Yes, here on SAU, "PLYNX" made mine. If you ask Pete nicely... The thin collar that covers up the holes is the part that's missing. Simon knew this post was coming
  21. Up for discussion Adam at the Exec perhaps. Maybe anyone representing SAU will display this plate?
  22. plea bargain secures a flogging instead
  23. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/436040-s-a-u-and-carbon-car-systems-tech-night-wrap-up/ Every 2-3 months we organise a Tech Night. One of the VIC Execs can arrange one on security I'm sure. The Carbon Car System one went into surrounding detail about securing one's car besides the usual 3-4 way immobiliser systems and tracker systems and mobile phone apps.
  24. I read an interesting article in January Readers Digest the other day about USA having "Fix-It Cafes" popping up in quite a few places. In this throwaway society where people like me have been guilty of disposing & replacing, it's been good to see elderly folk coming out of the woodwork and feeling useful and purposeful once again!!! The most common item brought in for repair is the laptop. Average cost for parts is $20
  25. A window at the front of a house at Woolloomooloo once displayed the sign, "This place is protected by shotgun 3 days a week. Guess which days!" Srsly is your car garaged and in a less risky suburb? We had a Tech Night on security recently - I'm sure some suggestions will pop up - some you know about already - maybe a few you don't. Let's see...
