  1. I don't like the plenum... 'cause it magnifies my facial wrinkles as I check the fluids Very aggressive look - yes!
  2. Many thanks!! Sigh... I just luuuvv autumn! - sounds better than fall too - lol
  3. ...and for me to write up a pro bono report for you, should you be advised to go for an insanity plea?
  4. Isn't it more precarious Dobz for pedestrians who would normally rely mainly on sound? Lol A few sight impaired pedestrians are going to get bowled over, right? Gulp
  5. Some lawyers are quite fair and compassionate. One spent 45 mins with me about how to fill out a Section 1 application (at the demand of police) prior to the R32 21st Anniv Cruise. The cost? Just 1 bottle of $18 wine from BWS across the road. It's the barristers who charge 3-4K
  6. The worst part of an insurance 'fraud' investigation is that you're presumed guilty and have to prove your innocence. Like Mark went to the Movies with someone, and the investigator wanted to know when the picture started and when it finished, since the GTi was stolen from the carpark. He also wanted to know what movie he saw and what the story was about. Then the investigator checked the cinema operator about the start/finish time and then came back and implied that Mark had left early. We asked how early. He said about 5 minutes early. We said, "You mean you expect Mark to sit through the credits? Wtf!" He backed down; but he thought he could bait Mark for a while.
  7. Great att'n to detail - as usual ! The thickness of paint in the engine bay (and worse still in the boot) is a bit tenuous.

So Shane, the scarcity of 98 up/down the east coast through Bicheno is.....??? And the scarcity of 98 up/down the west through Zeehan is...???
  10. He must have been defending himself then, because a traffic lawyer would I think have advised him to plead "Innocent" and then explain > case dismissed Now that he's pleaded "Guilty" and then tried to explain > still cops a penalty > an appeal would only lessen the severity of sentence Poor bugger.
  11. GT/GTS in Auto & Man BRZ Not long to go now > currently in holding yards, ready to go to dealers
  12. Thanks Patty for giving us a snapshot into a day with that judge. I agree with Steve-0, Liz and Shell about #11. Can that driver appeal? I would on principle. Bugger!
  13. Yes, the 3" NACA duct cost $45 + gst + post from QLD = $62. Bought from Ken Lowe Racing. Peter from Bodyformaero was impressed at how my painter was able to attach the plastic duct to the aluminium bonnet and not form expansion/contraction cracks on or around the painted duct. The painter used a resin between the two materials prior to undercoat. I think you need to sort out your own budget as to how much you'd want to pay a painter (& cut that hole). When it's placed in the correct spot, there's no intrusion into the bonnet reinforcement underneath. Hope this helps...
  14. +1 Even the time, day & date of your first complaint and with whom should be journalised IMHO ...and every dialogue since. Emails (&/or witness) can also carry more weight than a verbal.
  15. Edit* Sorry but the Bayside Blue was 323 microns = 4 layer paint. The base coat had to be just right, when the skirts and splitter were done. Every panel showed up similar too.
  16. In that "Drive" article, James Staveley is heading up the screening process about whether or not a prospective buyer is going to be "approved" or "not approved" James used to be the Marketing Manager of Nissan Eastern Aust., and as such, one wonders as to whether his thought processes Patty are along the lines of 'reverse psychology'; that people will want to try the "Leaf" to prove that they can be "approved". He's a canny bugger.
  17. It's interesting isn't it that with Eugene's paint thickness gauge - on R34 GTRs... * 230 microns with Bayside Blue * 195 microns with Midnight Purple III * 125 microns with Yellow * 90 microns with White (albeit on an N1)
  18. ^ ^ ^ ain't that the truth... My son Mark had sold his VL Brock Group A to another Blue Mtns resident - on an acre set back from the road. 6 months later the thieves broke open a locked cabinet inside a secured garage, to obtain the ignition leads for the HDT car > never seen since. My same son had his 1st car an R31 Skyline GXE stolen whilst training inside the Dojo. The 2nd car of his that was stolen was a 25th Anniv VP Maloo The 3rd car of his that was stolen was a Suzuki Swift GTi > set off red flags with the insurance company > investigation came out clear > paid out 6 weeks later
  19. Complain enough about the food > Fugu will be your reward
  20. If you're in the right spots A, the 1st and last hour of the day are the best times for colour and texture; so in the place you were at, you've done well!
