  1. Tokyo Imp used to be on P'matta Rd Five Dock did it not? Same company?
  2. Dear oh dear.... You'll discreetly sleuth out spare parts I take it? Adequately insured by Bodyworks &/or owner?
  3. If that's so, then like I suggested, he's double-dipping. Therefore Birds' summation still stands.
  4. Cops:- they look up Rego plates on computer, so if the old plates (at time of theft) are still on there, I'd change them Car:- whilst stolen, the thieves may have thrashed the car. You'll get it thoroughly checked over won't you? History:- VEDA including Revs will always hold that theft history in place. Should you sell the car (after having bought it), any enquirer might have the same questions as you have.
  5. For low lip car (100mm off the ground)? Pics? Ta
  6. +1 in WtB ^_^
  7. Actually Pat, you might have something. In Japanese temple grounds they often have trees - bare ones - with leftover fortune wishes made of paper tied to them. So you can get to work on the day with pink paper whilst yours truly can dress up in Shinto priest robes to bless each car that goes by... (which is what I saw being done in Kyoto when I was there - shouldn't be too hard on an old man).
  8. fatz was wrecking a whole R33 GTR wasn't he? PM him. It was front end damaged only. JJ and Toy Shop and others in PI magazine may have a half cut with the badge still on? Wreckers? Otherwise new from JJ already mentioned... If you score, you just need double sided tape.
  9. ^^^ Many thanks Chris for soldering 'life' back into my MFD bar graph:) Thanks too for heads up from you other guys who seemed to know what was up.
  10. How much does Just Jap charge after SAU member discount? Looked at the quality (or lack of) in the Carmate site? Nisswreck? The R33 GTR badge has its own character too.
  11. Sincerely? When caught, the robber shall be baseball-bat-punished sincerely!!! Yes, many times, a Club has saved some grief I bet.
  12. Snuck through Hawkesbury to-day without being seen > Rouse Hill. At least the car's good looking
  13. Looks exactly the same as on my 1st R34 GTR Yes the C/F is a fraction thinner - but not at all flimsy. Peter of Bodyformaero had the diff bracket made up for me, because the kit didn't include that.
  14. Just joining a couple more dots Brian... If the boss has been paid out on his write-off; and assuming the scratch on the boss's car might not have been subtracted from the "sum insured" if it was an "agreed value policy";... my question is, "Isn't demanding his ex-employee to pay up for the bumper scratch a form of double-dipping?" I would concur with you if the car was devalued on the basis that his (the boss's) policy was only "market value". If so, I'm wondering what's wrong with OP asking a couple of 'leading questions' ??
  15. Yes Mike; exactly the same symptoms on the MFD. Yet the Boost Controller Display works perfectly all the time. So I'm expecting that the soldering of a couple of pins on the Sensor near the firewall on the driver's side will restore the bar graph to perfection.
  16. ...or those are the crows that raided my hashish patch
  17. Rule #5 from the CEO of vroomvroomvroom.com says "Be entrepreneurial within your own idea" and not digress too much > You stayed within your own realm of an R35 and did not get tempted to take on a hawt R34 GT-R hehe... Richard Eastes and The Bee Hive
  18. These do come up - but you need to be patient I'm afraid. I was lucky here on SAU. Price? I paid $2K for an unused set. Buying from Nismo Japan through elrodeo666 or Import Monster or gerz or Jesse Streeter or mattynewera are other options. They come with brackets and are perfect in size/length. The FG copies are difficult to tell the difference once painted. A telltale sign is that the copies are generally 10mm short. Hope this helps.
  19. Waat? And knock back an N1 engine? If it's budget, then I'd understand.
  20. Genuine OEM one in the F/S section down to $1,200 and the cracks are easily repaired. No, it's not even my thread. Grab it quick!
  21. Got another note from Marcus yesterday. He's promised Richard and I more news by Sunday probably. How many would we need Richard for GB?
  22. Definition of Group Buy here means... 365 SAUers contribute $2,740 each > 1 day per year car-share! Because I'm #1, on leap years, I get to drive it for 2 days
  23. Nice to see that you take your own advice after the lectures you deliver Richard
  24. Congrats on your buy Braden, as well as Bob. It's a buyers' market atm - sign of the times - lean 'n mean
  25. On their PDS, Lumleys SV will also cover any window breakage (eg rear quarter/side/rear) without penalty, whereas Just Car will only cover the front windscreen. Mouldings are extra tho' PDS tells all and Shannon's is pretty good too BTW. Just Car is often the only insurance company accessible to younger drivers. I wish there was more competition out there to reduce their premiums - sigh
