  1. Bodyformaero is working on a C/F blade which is the exact mould copy of the Nismo item
  2. "Skyline Withdrawal" turns into "Great Expectations" Congrats...
  3. Well Anthony, from experience, I can tell you where I don't like it; and from that > where I do. 1) Black R34 GT-R came with a Blitz EBC mounted on top of the steering column > It looked OK but a bit cluttered. 2) BSB R34 GT-R had a GReddy EBC mounted underneath the steering column> I couldn't see it at all; but it was recommended that it go there, because it's bright at night. 3) White R34 GT-R came with a HKS EBC tucked under the dash near the left knee > It's out of the way, but still difficult to see Like? > I like the position near the right knee where there's a triple switch panel. It will fit neatly within that recess, and if you're right-handed, you can easily change a setting. I've seen someone else's R34 GT-R on SAU with the EBC positioned there and it really suits. Brand? > None of those EBCs gave an ounce of trouble - all double solenoid I think.
  4. You can get that titanium looking blade matched by going to a panel beater and let him mix it up; or an automotive paint shop. I don't know of any paint number myself.
  5. Waaaat! With his truck there! ! ! Hmmm, well maybe; if there's a decent insurance payout to be had!
  6. Beenleigh Court March 28 (probably just for a mention). I wonder if he'd get fired up again, seeing some guys in the visitors' gallery wearing their Hardtuned hoodies? Lol
  7. Same as on one or both of the Z-Tunes that came to Oz... Elf Excellium 5W-40
  8. In that link 666Dan starts off with Methylated Spirits which is 95% ethanol. So see if the stickiness dissipates with that first? Meguiars used to make "The Professional Vinyl & Rubber Cleaner/Conditioner 40" with UV protectant. Not sure if it's still made. I have a bit left for my window mouldings.
  9. And there are a couple in the f/s thread that look good on appearances!
  10. There are probably lots of trucks like that but I'd still be intrigued whilst visiting your folks to see if there's damage on the front with leftover paint from the Line.
  11. LOL > However, if you are friends with any of them, can you ascertain if the notorious popo-defect-nazi was around?
  12. When a Bayside Blue R34 GTR pops up and it's been looked after, it doesn't last long in a F/S column.
  13. A eh? Gold suits just a few body colours; but when it happens, the contrast can be stunning! But there are a few shades of 'gold' that let gold down. My 2c
  14. I can also argue for an opposed balanced view without insisting that the Skyline driver was without any shred of blame. If the vid operator was so one-eyed about the truck driver being in the right, he would have hidden this footage would he not? It was so obviously incriminating of the truck driver being the antagonist and the Line driver appearing to be the passive party that if I was the vid taker, I wouldn't have even thought of considered handing over this footage.
  15. I don't have any qualms about using polish on a humid day before applying a sealant: nor do I have qualms about applying wax, preferably at least a day after putting on a sealant but also on a humid day. But is it true that some if not all sealants can have some difficulty adhering to the paint if there's 80-90%+ water vapour in the air? I've heard that a particular sealant can go a bit milky if applied on a rainy day (of course, in the garage). Analogy whether it's true or false: Homy Ped shoes sometimes have recalls on their shoes when a batch tends to lose their soles (as they peel off) & it's traced back to the adhering of soles on rainy days. Comment?
  16. Since you're in Adelaide, ask/PM Iron Chef here on SAU (aka Kristian)(also in Adelaide) about a R34 GT-R M-Spec that's about to come out from Japan. It won't be seen on any Japanese Auctions, so you'll need to get onto him!
  17. Simon, it's an exact dry C/F copy. Peter at Bodyform Aero couldn't tell the difference looking at it except to say that a) his one costed nearly twice as much b) the one I had was a bit thinner c) the one I had is well made For the R34, Peter at Bodyform used another R34 GT-R in his shop to get a friend of his to fabricate some brackets including the diff jacking point. JDM Performance (aka Eugene) is here on SAU - but only on occasions. He said the price of the rear diffuser fluctuates.
  18. That oil is a full synthetic and it should be fine to use for engine protection. The main point that has been emphasised with performance turbo cars is... a) to change the oil frequently eg every 5,000Km b) change even more frequently if the car is tracked eg every 2,500Km c) try to use the same oil for top-ups d) watch oil temp gauge each time you're out pushing that car I've never used that oil because I'm totally happy with the one I have; and have used on every GT-R.
  19. Chris, the R34 GT-R Genuine Nismo side skirt is 1910mm long The Nismo-type side skirt manufactured by Bodyformaero or JSAI is 1900mm (ie 10mm shorter). Hope this helps.
  20. The quality of your additions justifies the price on this car!
  21. Rule #1 The primary objective (as already stated) is to get a really good, clean, well serviced, rust-free R34 GT-R; preferably with itemised history. So few models are made compared to R32, R33 & R35. And don't forget that they're currently spread over Japan, Indonesia, UK, Australia, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, NZ and HK. ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ Black = Standard GT-R (made to look like a VS2) Blue = V-Spec II White = V-Spec All have the same engine when stock. The Black one above had added... * Tanabe progressive springs (Powerplayimports - now defunct)(car lowered by 1") > $300 * Side Skirts & Rear Pods (JSAI) > $700 * Rear C/F Diffuser (JDM Performance) > $1200 * Brackets for Rear Diffuser (Bodyform Aero) > $250 * Front F/G Diffuser (Carmate) > $500 * NACA Duct set into bonnet (Ken Lowe Racing) > $65 * Rear Wing C/F Blade (Bodyform Aero) > $300 * Radiator C/F Air Guide (Team Jetspeed) > $90 Yes it lacks intake and exhaust sensors for MFD display. ATTESSA is different but not much If you want to save some $ and wait for a V-Spec, just make sure you still follow Rule #1 & enjoy I was happy with all the types I've had!!!
  22. I think you've just about nailed it jiff If you can bring him along all wrapped up Patty... I'll see what I can do with my voodoo needles
  23. Have you tried using CRD and their website? Will they allow hard copy handouts to be taken from their desk whilst you furnish a Perspex dispenser? We sold a Black R34 GTR with Unigroup Eng & JapLink Motors allowing us to do just that!
  24. I've never seen stove oven lights have that sort of effect on a person before!
  25. Daniel Gardener T/A Carbon Car Systems & the building facade reads Stage Co. 21/47 Third Ave Blacktown 0411.101.737 or 1800.227.252 I'm talking about 3+ jobs and I've never had an issue - will continue to go back. Re: Diagnostics as well as Instal
