  1. Legends Night #2 with Jim Richards and Fred Gibson is on 27/11/11 at Trackside Restaurant W. Gosford. See NSW Forums! Q. If you're coming, would you like your R35 displayed along with other pristine GT-Rs juxtaposed to the Trackside Balcony (along with Chassis #5 or #4 R32 GT-Rs)? Q. If you wish to come with your R35 but haven't booked/paid, the forum says the event is "Booked Out"; but PM me and perhaps we can check the "Backup List" for you?
  2. PM'd Re Nismo Stickers (for wheels) if available. Ta
  3. It's in the digital TV drive. Have to work out how to download it to laptop I suppose - that's if it'll take eh?
  4. Glad to. Will need instructions how Pat - lol
  5. Heaps of yummy stuff on that show for oldies like myself. Made me sentimental - yes... What does it seem like to you young guys? Tonight was #2/3 > Last episode is next Sunday at 7.30 What I saw:- * Development of the Repco Brabham engine through the efforts of Aussie, Ron Tauranac (google him) * Brabham dishing it out to Ferraris, Maseratis, Lotus' * Genesis of Rallying in Oz > Great Rally cars those Peugeot 402/403s * Filmographers trying to film off roof racks of moving vehicles without strapping * Mini-skirts * Fred Gibson & his wife Christine (who'll be at SAU.NSW Legends Night on 27/11/11) * Development and Running of the Bathurst 500 with stock showroom cars * FJs onwards > Falcons + Humbers + Minis + Datsuns + Toyotas + Fiats + Studebakers * R&D of the Monaro GTS > HDs * Falcon GT HO What I heard:- * Rock 'n Roll * Christine Gibson giving her version of the Bathurst course as she raced it in a Mini Cooper * Affordability in the 50s to buy a car and be 1 in 3 families who did it with 70 pounds. Heaps of other stuff which I'll go over again since I recorded it. I'm sorry I missed out on #1/3 last Sun.
  6. geez.... does that really happen?
  7. By using Jiff, you've abraded away the clear-coat. And since you've done that, you might as well get some Subaru "Upper Engine Clean" which will remove (with persuasion) brake dust grime that has penetrated the coat. Clear coat spray will need to be reapplied. Please don't use Jiff again on precious alloys. If your clear coat is in good condition, "Zymol" spray on solution is quite remarkable. Apply with a soft brush > wait > sponge > rinse > wipe.
  8. For "Hazey" & "hamiltonau" Re: your enquiry about Family Law Solicitors, the law firm that Abo Bob (former Prez of SAU.NSW) recommends & works for ^ ^ ^ also specialises in Family Law.
  9. my bad Brett. I thought I'd fixed it in time lol
  10. Copper seeing your Qld No Plates: "Waddaya doin' down here?" GTS R33: "Umm, I'm just touring down to Sydney for a holiday" Copper: "We don't like cane toads here" GTS R33: "I support the blues, in from nsw" Copper: "That's what they all say > now about this defect....."
  11. "GTR32G" is about to sell his one. It won the Jim Richards Best R32 GTR Award at the R32 GTR 21st Anniversary! It was featured in Motive DVD #11 in that event segment. It's a gorgeous red. It's here in Sydney too. PM him aka Brian! If you buy this one, I'm sure Brian would give you a facsimile of the Award Certificate. He was supposed to place his car along with other 'best GTRs' at Legends Night. Not a shrinking violet in the engine bay either!
  12. eBay ? Google ?
  13. Complete this old adage... "When in doubt, d***" So I'd be taking the Ford to another mechanic if I were you. You've already exhausted the knowledge of one. Your friendship has nothing to do with how this Ford is going to pan out. So if you buy this car now with all it's 'question marks', you're taking a 'shot in the dark'! There have been TT/ACA stories before albeit in the 90s, about 'lemon' cars; and there have always been Fords amongst them including prime movers. My brother-in-law is a Ford man with a Mondeo, G6Eturbo, XR6 & Focus Ghia in his family. 3 of the 4 have had intermittent problems, but it's interesting to watch how he still persists and not consider anything else. Personally, you wouldn't have started this thread unless there were doubts; and several posts further on, you still have them. Put it this way: if your body still ails you after seeing a Dr, would you seek a 2nd opinion? Preferably a specialist? Know a Ford specialist? You know: the one who's lost his hair? GL
  14. Let me know the time and day you cross Tweed Hds or get to Tenterfield and we'll arrange an 'escort'... because we're all full up here. NSW Police never have forgiven Queenslanders for thrashing the Blues in NRL. Most defecting is done at night; and usually in carparks close to KK, Maccas, KFC etc. I think it's because I'm early to bed - early to rise, that I've never been pulled over for an inspection whilst owning one GT-R or another for 6 years.
  15. Have you advertised in ozfoz.com primarily? They'll be interested in an enthusiast's car like above...
  16. Very kind of you to make your comment general rather than specific. (now how did I get that left heel scrambled up with my right toe)
  17. I posted up this link onto Prelude Australia. There's one mature guy (& senior member) interested in this I expect. Hope Tim calls.
  18. Ask "Just Jap" on 02-9545.0532
  19. [email protected] www.wholesalesuspension.com.au 02-47212112 You can confirm that their employee Matt might wish to buy 2x tix to Legends Night + any others? > Followup... My business brain on the night asked if they'd like to make up some DL cards for SAU "Partners" to stick in their caryards and workshops? > Followup...
  20. ...needs 5 forward gears.
  21. It is worth noting that engine temps drop by quite a few degrees with this bonnet on. So it's function should not be understated.
  22. Even though it states that "The Legends Night" bookings are sold out Zach, you're tentaively included so long as you fix up SAU with payment real quick. Tis great you came > good chat!
  23. You went in straight and came out with a limp! Must be those extra orders of beautiful 2012 Calendars from some nice W/S Suspension people
