  1. I love popping in now and then and admire the pics and shape of the R33. A credit to you guys as well as Nissan!
  2. Jeez Luke, you mean to say it's been that long? I'm afraid the years have not been too kind to me... I get around in a Forester these days > transports my wheelchair you see... I'm easy to spot > It's the wheelchair with CE28Ns > enough spokes to help my arthritic fingers to slip in and push... (My GT-R? Well a famous Mr I. Jones once said, "It belongs in a museum!")

...or unless it suddenly appeared after your last service
  4. Hehe... Even the drug companies have brought out peppermint products for digestion too Lachlan. +ve side effect is that many people feel that peppermint tea can reduce night time snacking.
  5. Anywhere I'm required eg morning timer? Got the 7 radios (+ headsets + backup batteries) today, that Matt had arranged. Just need to give you a 2min rundown on how fragile the connection is between the headset and the radio.
  6. TIME Mag has had one of those features again about brain tumours stemming from mobile phones placed next to an ear for long periods. Tick for using texting Tick for using ear devices but this is contentious in other studies Cross for kids (ie developing brains) using mobiles Cross for anyone who has a relative with brain tumours using mobiles for any more than a minute or two Question:- wouldn't more girls and tradesmen/businessmen be prone to that type of cancer? Just thinking....
  7. Will put this to the Committee with Nick, and make it an official SAU Event. SnS possibilities? > Comments?
  8. Might need to improve state of tune & check AFRs Previous Black R34 GT-R > 460-470km/tank stock with 3" exhaust/hi flo cat and HKS F-Con V-Pro 1 bar (228awkw) Current B/Blue R34 GT-R > 390-400km/tank with -7s, 3" exhaust/hi flo cat, cams, gears and PFC-D-Jetro 1.5bar (300wkw)
  9. Yes with a couple of conditions... * all sevices are done * nothing bad comes up on fault codes Yes, they have great fuel economy. If you have a choice of the E46 320 over 318, the 320 has noticeably more poke BMW servicing is done cheaper through places like BMV Eng at Taren Pt (with Massimo) or BMWise at Artarmon (with George) If you're going Japanese, I've had both Subaru & Honda; and I've found the build quality on the Honda as being better than Subies. Honda servicing is done cheaper through a place like Hannys Performance at Smithfield (with Robbie or Peter)
  10. Canada and Japan have pulled out too. ...b-b-but Australia is a domino that's super-glued to the table http://www.reuters.c...E75755O20110608 So the smoke billowing LADA lives on!
  11. I will never forget my first car! I'd like to see yours! These 'snaps' I dredged up from 1970... Enjoy! Chrome wheels were IN. Pinstripes were IN Matte black panels were IN Smiths gauges, new cassette radios, snooker ball gear knobs, leather steering wheel covers were IN Any hoon had to choose between Weber, Delorto, SU etc and carry the new Lynx manifold home in a bus - lol And these are the exposed pods you'd not want to smoke a fag nearby - lol Night-time shot with the state-of-the-art Minolta SRT 101 with Rokkor lens 50mm Rokkor f1.2 big sucker to be exact Minoltas back then were used by Trent Nathan, son of rajab Snowdon etc. Some photographers used to even scavenge Rokkor lenses to stick on their Nikons. Believe it or not!
  12. Hey! That's what I see when I'm driving a 'Bumper Car' at a showground! Srsly, Matt, Great shot with that rig + someone's knowhow!
  13. 155000kms in MY06XT Forester (WRX engine) Original gearbox; original diff. I'm thinking of selling it at about 185000kms due to fault codes #1410 & #2432 that might pop up anytime due to faulty air pump > cylinder corrosion. Been happy with it, but I might try something else next time.
  14. Russia has pulled out of the Kyoto Protocol commitment today > and will also renege on the billion dollar penalty! I hope our government pulls out before it's too late. 10% of our carbon tax (yes, from Oz), will be distributed by the UN to developing nations - like who? Like China - that's who! WTF!
  15. your 6 day a week irish calendar should be able to fit in an extra day i know i know - you're only interested in the piccies
  16. Yes Brian, Eugene of JDM Performance uses G&S too.
  17. So in the year 7011, the only survivors will be cockies, crocodiles and catfish? OMG, no wonder buddhists want to come back as animals!
  18. Bodyform Aero (ie Peter) uses G & S Bodyworks 81 Larra St Yennora 9681.2686 (ie Gus or Sam) XCM (ie Louie) 0413.581.099 Smithfield (if he's recovered from illness) Both are highly recommended and have done extensive work on many Nissans
  19. Trojan at Mitchell ACT 02-6242.6277 Just Jap at Kirrawee 02-9545.0532 and if they're on ebay or SAU F/S section, grab 'em Tom

The gold GT-7 wheels are really gorgeous: I just can't quite catch the rims on the wheelie...
  21. Yes, often we do... Thanks for the reminder Phill
  22. Makes sense... A wave > brightens one's day Cutting in (or lane hog) > pisses one off
  23. Debate goes on...
  24. Am I to assume that you're talking about just Australia? If so... We have enough coal to last Australia for centuries > electricity Plus... We need to build more dhydams (in a water starved country - once La Nina has switched across to El Nino reflected by southern oscillation index) > hydroelectricity http://en.wikipedia...._power_stations Which ridiculously, the Greenies are against... Shai Agassi in conjunction with Renault distributes battery stations where in less time than a car fills up with PULP, an electric car has its depleted batteries swapped over for charged ones. ^^^ Yes, Australia is earmarked by Mr Agassi; but hey, these are my thoughts only... And that's just electricity.
  25. God can spew out in one day what we put out in a year through cars > Chile yesterday > http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b4IOXxH9Ry0 then in Argentina a few hours later > http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gWG5mAvCYVQ Should we plant more trees > YES Are we going to get carbon credits for planting them > NO (but on my acre plot I'll still maintain 1 tree or bush / sq metre) Should the Fed Gov't restrict old cars by force ie. law, in their next term > NO Should Gov't encourage a transition into greener cars > YES
