  1. Silicon hose is much more durable, as you'll find when you inevitably replace things like your vac lines etc.
  2. I can tell you a few horror storys but I won't go into details, JJR are cheap copy's at best.
  3. Do you have any form of aftermarket CDI? eg HKS Twin power? If it is indeed your alternator then it's not a massive job, though i've never had one fail personally its bound to go through enough wear and tear to eventually give up.
  4. Spotted GTSR33 driving along aerodrome road tonight I was at the chemist, sick as a dog atm
  5. ARC cooler will do the trick and you can usually find some second-hand for decent prices, spray it black if you want
  6. I buy all my parts from RHDjapan, prompt service, fastest delivery, they send direct from japan with EMS can sometimes only take 5 days. For reference I've used perfectrun and also nengun before also and I find RHD superior. http://rhdjapan.com/
  7. Definitely will be at jambo, not sure on all 3 days though lol

    Next?

Will it break traction in 2nd?
  9. Nice work, car looks good, not low enough to scrape, but too look good. Why the Bilsteins though? My car came with Bilstein coilovers stock and I have to say they were terrible, replaced them with Tein SS had a much nicer ride. Though I'd give my left nut for a set of OHLINS anyday.
  10. No offence but one of the main reason I sold my GT-R was the stigma that skylines attract towards police and even the general public. This accident and publication continues to put the skyline as a 'hoons' vehicle, though it's reputation is probably tarnished to the point of no return.
  11. Really no point revving past 8ish? Would a T88 still make power after 8k? You'll get a better understanding once you have the turbo installed and find out when your peak power / revs are. But to answer your question on 'safe' I wouldn't take it above 9000rpm often.
  12. Ran HKS 2530's on 1.5bar before in my old R32 GT-R, tuned on a Power FC, didn't have any problem leaning out (040 intank pump and inj upgrade).
  13. Don't try to drift with a Twin or even a Triple plate they're not suited for the application unless you're somehow pulling in over 600horsepower and you want a twin plate carbon clutch which wont have as much chatter as a normal twin plate. Just buy a cheap exedy or china copy single.
  14. Depends how bad the girl in the skyline was hurt, Dangerous Driving causing Grevious Bodily Harm is not something you want to go up against in court.
  15. Good choice on going to Kakimoto, I had the HKS Hi Power on my GT-R and it was just too quiet.
  16. Sunshine Coast does not have a car scene. Thursday night I can guarantee you the boys in blue will be out in force and will be happy to pick you up for minor things, sometimes they even bring their buddy's from Brisbane up to have a look around, they are from the State Traffic Task Force. The last time I went out on a Thursday night was coming back from the State of Origin in Brisbane, it was only 8pm but I had already been challenged by a Hyundai Excel with a massive GREDDY sticker on the rear window and a Red P Plate, at the lights on Aerodrome Road. I just shook my head, how things have changed.
  17. You could always get a couple of maccas trays and.... No I won't go into that, I'd imagine if you're after a daily you want something that you're not going be targeted in by the police.
  18. Someone sold here 2x HKS 3037S with dump pipes for an RB26 in almost brand new condition for 5 grand about 3 months ago.
  19. Mazda 121 easy as anything to maintain and service and will get you where you need to go, without the attention of the police.
  20. ^^ Under the Toyota dealership right
  21. Nothing wrong at all with the Vipecs. I know of one car currently being tuned in time for Jamboree with the new Haltech Ps2000, 13B engine with a T51R, so far they are having very positive results.
  22. As posted above I'd say go for the Garret TO4Z, great ball bearing turbo, if you choose the 1.00 rear housing split pulse you will be crunching huge numbers at 1.8 bar, which is what you said you had the GT35R running at. You can pick them up brand new for around $2000-$2200
  23. Your coolant temp is very high for an RB engine, in heavy traffic I rarely go above 90c (13B-REW). I'd have your lines bled and replaced with new coolant. But as stated in the thread your engine won't get damaged sub 120c, but you shouldn't be around that temperature at all even under extreme engine stress.
