  1. Actually all you need is the pump, and the power steering pump has to be changed as the old one had 4ws outputs. We used a cefiro radiator and pipes as well. Cam
  2. What sort of clutch etc. DCS in Brisbane normally do a heavy duty clutch for around the $600 installed/exchange on a skyline and $700 for a single plate brass button. Cam
  3. Why not spend the $3000+ on the CA, they are tuff motors and can produce heaps of power....have a look at www.autospeed.com they feature a 270rwkw ca
  4. That's the big factor in all things I recon...bang for your buck... if you go the rb then you need a engineer cirt because you go from 4cyl to 6cyl......I have personally done this conversion so if you need any tips let me know. I would probably go for the rb for the torque... URMINE hows your heater going? Cam
  5. I voted OTHER because I have found that light colours and cars don't mix. These shirts aren't cheap so if youget anasty stain/mark on it it is ruined. I would go for darker colours. blue (GReddy blue) bottom black top metal buttons (brushed alloy) Also make sure you get the bottom straight cut so you can wear them un tucked. my $1.75's worth Cam
  6. Here is a good comparison My R32 gtst (rb20det manual) fmic 3.5" turbo back exhaust filter cold air box 15 psi vg30 turbo s-afc bigger fuel pump My friends 180sx (sr20det manual) fmic 3" turbo back exhaust filter 13 psi gtr fuel pump Basically both cars are pretty much even up to 150km/h then the skyline gets about 2 car lengths on the 180 up to 220km/h ALL TESTING WAS PERFORMED UNDER CONTROLLED CONDITIONS BY EXPERIENCED DRIVERS. IT IS NOT RECOMMENDED THAT THESE ACTS BE DUPLICATED ON OPEN ROADS. ALWAYS WEAR YOUR SEATBELT WHEN DRIVING AND HAVE A NICE DAY
  7. I AM IN FOR THIS ONE, I AM MUCH BETTER NOW.....I HAVE FOUND THAT THE ROUND-A-BOUT AT THE END OF MY STREET IN THE WET IS AWESOME TO PRACTICE ON, MY BEST SO FAR IS 3 FULL CIRCUITS.....LOL
  8. I taped it last night and just watched it.....That freak was rediculas. He is certainly not your average car nut he is a freak. However, did you notice that the chick driving the black celica (Yeh like that thing is road worthy) she had no horn on the steering wheel and the steering wheel doesn't meat asutralian standards even for a car of that age. I am not condoning what that freak did but I would bet that his car would stop and handle better than hers... Anyway that is not the point, I think exceeding the limit in built up areas is stupid (the highway is another story with most roads in australia well under the international speed rating by some 20%) Oh by the way that dark R33 on the show, anyone here own that? was it a GTR if so not a bad doughnut ...... lol
  9. I actually hand stiched and coloured those...lol Actually I was lucky enough to find them at TARGET then I just took the shirts and the brand names clearly printed on paper to the embroiderer and had them done all up $40ea I remember ringing places like Route 66 and others but they all wanted like $100 ea for "Garage" style american type shirts so the ones from TARGET were fine. 10. HPC is the go if you can afford it, if not get it powder coated as it looks good and lasts longer than paint and is cheaper to do than paint. Cam
  11. You really have to know how air flows before you realise that some designs work and some don't. I am not saying I know everything I was only saying that from what [b:04433b2acc]I have actually tested [/b:04433b2acc] the rb plenum works much better than most people realise. I too am looking for a new plenum and will either build my own using short runners or use a rb25 GReddy item and modify it to fit. Regardless of cost if you are going to the expense of doing a mod it had better be worth while. Unless you run more than 20psi there is no need (other than better intercooler piping route) to change the plenum. Remember that for $700 there are many better mods to perform. I am a HUGE fan of bang for your buck....cam gears @ $350 for 10-15% increase in power is what I am talking about as an example. If anyone does buy one of these please get it flow tested prior to fitment at the SAME boost level you are intending to push through it. Perhaps Gradenko will buy one first and prove me wrong.....I will be happy to know that a simple cost effective design actually works. Cam
  12. R34 Thats right and wrong.....That plenum would be OK if you were to run more than 20psi but under that you would definately cause some of the sylinders to run lean and some to run rich. It should also be tig welded on the inside as well or it will just blow apart at the welds after a while at around 15psi.....A plenum with square sides is not the best for air flow, just take a look at about every other plenum on the market for a better idea.......At the end of the day if you buy this you will have a $650 plenum that is worth $650 and will deliver $650's worth of benefit. The standard plenums on rb 20 and 25 are actually quite good for performance and flow well to all cylinders. I tested this when I had mine off and the cylinders all flowed the same volume at the same speed. There is a lot of r&d that is needed when designing a plenum thats why they cost so much. Cam JiIMb0, the plenum basically acts as a resouvour for air til the engine calls for it. The engine sucks a lot of air and if you just had a small pipe the engine would stall as it couldn't suck in the volume of air that it needs.
  13. Nismo boy, if you need any help let me know as I did a rb20 conversion in a s13 see....Lukes S13
  14. Yes it is possible, there are many ways to do itb ut if you are going to the expense of a turbo and ex/gate then you probably have the money for a new manifold ($1000) unless of course you pick one up super cheap. JMS did this on theier Onevia and simply had a block welded onto the flange on the stock manifold with the wastegate coming up off this and the turbo bolted on. Cam
  15. Cool, Thanks guys
  16. Japsix I have the following fmic vg30 non bb turbo 3.5" exhaust from turbo blitz ecu s-afc 600hp pump = 206rwkw Hope that helps, soon to dial in cam gears.....more power Cam
  17. Oh s*%t I was talking about a 32....so how is the set up on a 33 different? can you still tap a bleeder into the solinoid line? Cam
  18. Yeh, I can't explain it, but from what I understand the earthing wire is a bit dodgy and when your revs drop the pump cuts some of the voltage, now if the earth is not good then that drop may be a bit too much and actually stop the pump from well pumping....no fuel car stalls.... As I said this fixed mine and a mates so it MAY be ONE of the solutions.. Thanks for the compliment on the site....The silo was a hazadous waste storage silo that had been empty for 12 months and aired for over a Month, there was still some nasty gasses in there.
  19. Yeh I use a bleed valve on mine with a different actuator as well that is heaps stiffer than the vg30 one. mine is filtered and also has a one way valve attached but really isn't necessary as it will not suck in that much air. I just wanted everyone to know that it is possible to distort fuel maps when fitted. I have a safc so it really doesn't matter anyway lol
  20. There is now a second thread with another possible fix, check it out, its from a guy with a 180 (SR20)
  21. I would like to introduce my self.... My name is Cam (Campbell) I am 25 and live in Toowoomba Queenlsand I enjoy abseiling, photography and driving my gmg R32 Gts-t300 at over 240km/h (Did youknow that if youcan get the needle back to 40 then you are doing 300!!!!, have to remove the pin at 0 first). When I am not working on my car I work as a Hostel assistant at a Retirement Village. Cam/BOOSTMEISTER
  22. D-Masta Good work man, as I mentioned there seems to be numerous reasons for our cars to do this so your option could, as mine be a very cost efective way of solving the problem. Excellant
  23. Just remember that if air goes out it can also go IN and cause fuel issues, a hole this small shouldn't have too much of an affect but keep it in mind. Most bleed valves also have this problem but they are filtered so they will not suck in dirt etc. Cam
  24. About $2920 for everything give or take $50 or so. I saved $180 on the bench grinder stand as I made one myself One of the most important things in the shed is the lighting. I have 5 single triphosphorous fluro tubes in the shed and are setup so there are no shadows cast. While this may be extreme and cost me a bit to have wired up by an electrician it was definately worth it. Another tip, if you are doing work on the engine bay area that will take some time remove the bonnet as it amazing how much easier and brighter it is with it off, not to mention that accessibility is heaps easier.
