  6. Its actually 3M alloy tape. It comes in a roll and is about 5cm wide. It is super sticky and tears easilly, imagine the tin seal inside a lid of milo etc, its basically that with one side sticky. Most big hardware shops sell it. I actually took it off and will replace with carbon soon.

  10. Steve, haven't driven it yet, but as the ambient temp is only 8-12 degrees at the moment I may not be able to tell, will get more of an idea when its hot. doxximus, I can't give birth, but thats about it..... , Nah just kidding, its not a matter of what I can't do but won't try, Everyone can do anything but it may not always turn out right, the thing is you never know until you give it a burl. I should practice my welding more as I am super nervous when I start to weld, I spend so long preparing the other pieces of metal only to screw them up when I weld, oh well, must practice some more. Next time you need something for your car try and work out how much YOU can do. One of the best things to do is try doing half of the job, like if you want a alloy oil catch can, buy the material cut it and file it and get it just right THEN take it to someone to weld. That way you still get the enjoyment and experience of making it as well as saving heaps of money in labour time. Give it a go. Cam
  11. I have finally finshed the carbon air box and HKS pod install, ran into a small problem as the pod wouldn't fit so I had to make an adapter. [img:664498f35f]http://www.d-u-e-l.com/podadapter7.JPG[/img:664498f35f] The rest of the pics

  16. ATTENTION SYDNEY GUYS DRIVING FROM GOLD COAST TO DRAGS I am staying on the coast in my multi million dollar apartment in Burleigh Heads 8) and will be more than happy to lead the procession to Mt Cootha on Saturday morning. Where to meet / Itinery: 6:30am Broadwater Carpark opposite Australia Fair. 7:00am Depart Carpark 8:00am Arrive Mt. Cootha 8:30am Depart Mt. Cootha How does this sound, does anyone else have anything to add or suggest.
  17. Yeh that sounds cool, how long do you reckon it should take from Surfers to Mt Cootha, I assume the best route is : M1 - SE Freeway SE Freeway onto Milton RD Milton RD up to Mt Cootha ? Where you recon a good spot is to meet up with everyone on the coast? I know a few guys are meeting at Coomera BP at 6:30 any more ideas? Cam
  18. There was this crazy little Japanese dude called Mito Natto he was a test driver for Top Fuel and one day was testing a turbo charged civic through a long tunnel, just after reaching 300km/h he exited the tunnel and a cross wind sent him out of control and crashing into a rice field. Although the car was fitted with a full cage the angle of the accident caused his death. He is well known all over Japan and you will see many cars with a Mito Natto sticker on the front bar or top corner of the windscreen. I do not wish to emulate this act and as such am very carefull where and when and what I do in my car, a road at 120km/h is smooth but at 240+ its as bumpy as hell. Take it a bit at a time and learn how the car feels, it you don't like the feeling STOP, whether its High Speed, Drift, Street Drag, be safe and never do it near other "Innocent" motorists. Be prepared to die as it will happen, you may be old and incontinent or young and strong, it doesn't matter death has no favourites but if you temp him he may just teach you a lesson, and your family and your friends. 19. Not as mad as you may think. I am staying at the Gold Coast Friday and Saturday nights to be close to the action.....Bring it on...Yehaa

  21. I have been after this little wing for ages, now I have it, I am going to make a mould and have some made in carbon/glass so if you want one let me know. This is a serious offer but will only happen if enough people want it. [img:1d6d53accc]http://www.d-u-e-l.com/little_purchase.JPG[/img:1d6d53accc]
  22. I'm coming, bringing 5 other guys from Toowoomba in S15 180 and my 32 this is going to be sweet, all you guys/girls going to the broadwater car park after?
  23. The thing is this, I want to fit bigger injectors so if I do this the afm will not be on as much load so what I will do is get my car running as good as possible with this setup then buy 6 550cc rx? injectors for $420 and this will solve all my problems as the afc will then be used to BACK the fuel off instead of add it, my tuner has estimated the afm to be at approx 66-70% with these injectors as he has done similar things on other cars. My main goal is to run a this years Jamboree in September with a mid-low 12sec.
  24. Slip, thanks for the help....very usefull info mate. Although the skid pan helped heaps I am still haunted by the rather expensive and damaging 2 accidents I have had and I find my self coming on boost around corners I always get a nasty feeling, like anything practice makes perfect so I will be at the next pan for sure. I have always been a high speed man and will probably continue to be, "if you are going to die driving make it spectacular"
