  1. Yeh the throttle position is spot on and the blitz ecu doesn't have fuel cut, going to try upping fuel pressure a bit and bypassign the afm a bit to reduce the draw on it and see what happens?
  2. As some of you know I have a s-afc on my 32 and it seems to be working fine at part throttle tune. However at full throttle I am leaning out at max power then richening up near the end (wrong way around) the thing is that we maxed out the afc at this point and made no difference. Then we backed it right off and made no difference to the dyno run???? What could be causing this? afm is 99.6% maxed out but injectors are good and the fuel pump is huge so whats the prob? Anyone
  3. I am insured with suncorp metway and they know only what they need to know about my driving record.
  4. Wow you guys are getting ripped. I pay $750 a year on rating 2 so in Oct it goes down even further....including my mods. Good on you MissS13 how about a pic of your ride so we know what see looks like.
  5. FROM THE NEWS DESK :x Was wathcing the news two nights ago and they had a story on high ron fuels and said they were moving to outlaw them as well as octane boosters and both will not be available after the end of the year. Apparently the "Environmental Protection Agency" has performed tests and found that they contain substance that is TOO harmfull for us. This sucks, but what is worse is the fact that they are also banning c16 and c21 and VP race fuels as well unless you have a special CAMS/ANDRA Permit that states that you will use it only on the track and not even for tuning at a wrkshop. Not happy.
  6. Spent wed night makeing the lid for the air box, was a good way to fill in 6 hours before the movies (Starwars Episode II). Here are the final pics. www.d-u-e-l.com/cams_ride.htm Originally I was going to cut a section out of the lid for part of the air filter as it was too high, but I hav edecided to buy a smaller filter, so if anyone wants a BLITZ metal airfilter with adapter let me know. $80 + postage good condition.

  10. I'd tell you but you wouldn't believe me....lol I work at a retirement village as an admin assistant TRUE But I am about to start a joint business venture importing cool gear and designing / fabricating stuff for Jap cars. Fortunately the other guy doesn't care about "Paper Qualifications" and appreciates a "Good idea" if it works.
  11. Thanks a lot man, I appreciate it. Time and practise is the key....! Not to mention a number of friends who trust you to work on their cars and try new ideas on them.
  12. Overall size of the piece is 530x700mm cut into two pieces and bolted together. will have more pics tomorrow Carbon tht size is um well not cheap to say the least. I got it a bit cheaper as it was spare but I am also paying the guy to make a bonnet so that helps too. So sorry but I don't know what it normally costs.
  13. Mate I'd love to help you guys out but there are to many variables. Airfilter type and mounting Intercooler piping other piping etc. If you come up with a template I can quote on cutting the carbon. It took me ages to get the template just right. Wish it was just a straight piece with a lid...OH well life wasn't meant to be. .......
  14. Here is a link to some pics of the 4" dump I made for a friends car......HUGE mate. The pics are at the bottom of the page. YES that is me. http://www.d-u-e-l.com/new_page_5.htm [img:348f090614]http://www.d-u-e-l.com/150502dump2.JPG[/img:348f090614]
  15. Check out the link below for some pics of me making the carbon air box for my car. I have only had the chance to make the side and will make the top tonight. After completion I will add some ducting to draw cold air into the box. http://www.d-u-e-l.com/cams_ride.htm [img:de1f33cf42]http://www.d-u-e-l.com/heatshield2.JPG[/img:de1f33cf42]
  16. I have found a way around the injector / afm maxing out problem so its time for a turbo upgrade. The Budget: $3000 + fitting bits and pieces ( I will fit myself ) [i:7acb06bd56][u:7acb06bd56]The options so far:[/u:7acb06bd56][/i:7acb06bd56] HKS GT2835 - 52Trim with .68 a/r (400hp) What else do you guys reccomed, I need to know th eentire cost so don't tell me X turbo for $2700 only to discover it is external gated. This is a serious enquiry and will happen later this year.

  24. JimBo Most shops like AutoBarn or supercheap auto or REPCO etc can sell you ramps, jacks and stands, the rest you should get froma hardware store. You may find the tools a bit cheaper at some specialty tool stores, just shop around. Stuffing it up. Have you got a digital camera? If so email me/us pics of the stuff you want to remove and we will tell you if you can or use a pic off my site of the engine bay and explain which bit you want to touch. Most items in the engine bay are easilly removable and will not cause too much stress, the main thing is to remember what order things come off in. Get a note pad and write down the order of removal then just reverse to re-attach. If you take out a bolt that is holding a bracket on, then screw that bolt into the hole once you remove the bracket that way you will not loose the bolt. Do not force a bolt if it seems stuck, spray some wd40 (hardware store) on rusted bolts and just bolts in general this way it will make it easy to remove them, tust me when I say you don't want to have to try and remove a broken bolt like I had to from my head when an exhaust manifold stud broke DAM. There is nothing like learning so don't be scared to pull stuff of and have a look, don't remove fuel lines or oil lines and any other line that may be under pressure.
