  1. PULP [Premium Unleaded Petrol] is different to Optimax and Ultimat as it has a lesser RON that these other fuels. It seems that the consensus is that BP Ultimate is better than Shell Optimax and even tho it all comes from the same place BP & SHELL have it mixed to their own specs and it seems that BP is better at producing consistant RON readings and lasts longer at a higher RON. 2. I was talking to Richard from www.are.com.au the other day and he told me something that is a bit disturbing.... He has a R33 gtst that he has been working on and finally got it back on the road. Took it to the dyno and made a power run, the result was a bit dissapointing and they were trying to figure it out when the guy asked Richard what fuel he was running. "Optimax was the last fuel put in the car" Richard replied, "When was that?" the dyno opperator asked, "About 2 weeks ago". the dyno opperator then explained that Optimax is only good for about 1 week then its RON rating starts to fall. So he tipped in some octain booster and then ran the car again and made just under 20rwkw EXTRA once the RON got back up. This explains why on a number of occasions after doing a couple of weeks work on my car the dyno runs have been down on power and the car detonates easilly. Cam
  3. Birty Its really weird actually, when I had 168kw I made that in 2nd but in 4th I only made 160kw. But now I make 189kw in 2nd and 206 in 4th so now the power range has changed? We have tuned the afc really well for 40% throttle and it pulls so hard, the torque increase massively
  4. Yes Steve time to post on SDU, I'm not a show off but I think they need to know that us Ozzy's can build quick cars too. ONARUN, There is very little point in fitting a reg as it will only help a bit and in the long run I will need bigger injectors to support a big turbo etc, is is only a band-aid solution where as a quick opporation will have it sorted for good not to mention that a good reg is $400 which is probably around 1/2 of the inj. price. Steve, what injectors will fit in my car? What size are they now? I have heard conflicting report. Cam

  8. JiMB0 Sequential shifter: Lifts the original pivot point by around 15mm then extends the lower section of the shifter by the same amount thus reducing the throw length needed to move between gears. Joe Shipping: Shipping is based on weight or size depending how big it is i.e. if you bring over a front bar for your car then it would be size but for a shift kit only weight. $130 freight should allow you around 5kg. No import tax as the amount declared on the box is within the limits of importation. Jay51 Shifter: My friend got a C's in with front cut and when ever I can I steel it and use it, they are sweet, I have taken all the measurements and will be making my own soon. lol
  9. YEP, I have added your link to the link list in the WASTELAND, What ever possessed you to do that to a perfectly good Big Mac?.....lol

  14. Just did this..... Do Not do this..... I was making way for the S-AFC in the center of my dash so I thought. [i:9c90050c9c]"I'll move the climate control [CC] to the glove box then mount some nice carbon fibre in the middle and mount the afc to this"[/i:9c90050c9c] Thinking is fine but doing...not so fine. So let me explain why you shouldn't do this or if you really want to then take note to save yourself nearly 5hours of wiring. [b:9c90050c9c]What went wrong.[/b:9c90050c9c] a. I removed the CC b. I taped the bundle of wires on the back into two groups [big/small plug] c. I cut the plugs off d. I added 40cm of wire to each plug for length [31 wires in total] e. I stripped, soldered, and heat shrunk all 31 wires f. Hopped back into the car to do the same again for the wires in the dash g. I discovered that on each plug the were 2-3 colours that had multiples of those colours i.e. on the small plug there were 3 plain green wires and 2 blue/red and 2 orange black. h. I called a friend who came over and spent the next 5 HOURS working out which wires go where. The biggest problem is unless you get all 9 double ups connected to their correct partner the unit will not work. Bottom line is this......... If you want to do this look at the wires before you cut them and mark them so you know which ones go where. The cc unit is now firmly zip tied (praise the son of rajab for ZIP ties) in place and still reasonably accessible by the driver. I also moved teh head unit down to the bottom DIN and added a sheet of carbon above it. Hope this helps
  15. I have looked but yet cannot find an option to include a pic in the thread or post I am making. Could we have this function please, it makes it easier to explain things if we can include a pic for illustration.
  16. Steve What you could do for a bit more flow from the steel wheel VG is have the ex wheel cropped this is a good mod that doesn't cost heaps and if coupled with a slightl bigger comp wheel will give good results with little lag.
  17. Had a trial run yesterday on the dyno where we are holding our comp on the 27th, I lowered the boost slightly to 12psi from 12.4 and took my car from 168rwkw in 2nd to 174rwkw in 4th, I can't remember how much I got last time in 4th but I think abour 162. This goes to show that haveing the righ amount of fuel is very important as my previous run was leaning out. Getting S-AFC and adjustable cam gears next week and will have them installed for the dyno day. Hoping for 190rwkw on 15psi.
  18. Probably will as it seems that as soon as I put an order in someone goes "OH I WISH YOUD HAVE DOLD ME I WANTED THIS AND THAT" So yeh, I may even be a dealer by June so keep and eye out for future posts
  19. Shell So, you are here to hey....lol, I am REALLY SORRY to inform you that they are all out of cup holders Yeh Mic80 cam up and bought my old BLITZ I was going to fit it for him but the cast intake pipe on the red rocker RB's are a different diameter to the Silver. The roads up haere are great, I go for the same drive every Sunday morning at 7am and each time I go I get faster and faster, must start timing my self, its one of the few roads where the posted speed limit is actually above what you can actually do on that road.....I LOVE IT. DISCOUNT: I'm working on it, will be signing up as a dealer soon so I should be able to offer you guys a decent discount, I have no plans to make loads of money out of it (I could) I just want to see as many modded cars as possible and to date the prices in Australia are tooo expensive.
  20. All my fears have now been confirmed, there is no point in continuing....lol
