Hey all
Long story short I had a head gasket blow, got it checked out, found other problems that be cheaper just to replace the whole engine instead of fixing it.
I have another engine in now, and there was oil still in the heater core from when the head gasket blew, so there's still some oil in the coolant.
I'm wondering what you guys would recommend I do to get rid of all the oil in the system.
A mechanic has recommended I just shove a hose in the radiator and engine to flush it out, but natrad have said oil expands rubber and all the hoses that have come into contact with oil will eventually burst, and said I should change every single hose (7 i think he said?).
From these opinions the natrad option sounds better but I don't know if he is just trying to milk me money and I don't know much it will cost.
What you guys think?
