Thanks for the tip-off, John. I had already seen your post and the car looks wonderful but at this stage I'm still waiting for more black GTRs to inspect. Having said that, if anyone who has contacted me is reading, I'll be out of action until 14 Dec with work commitments. Hi All, I'm currently in the market for an R32 GT-R. May be willing to spend up to $25K depending on my assessment of the car's fair value. -Colours; black, blue, silver and (possibly) grey, with an extreme preference for black vehicles. -Will NOT consider any other colours and prefer original paintwork. -Preference for late models; 1992 onwards. -Preference for modified vehicles (aftermarket turbos + forged internals, etc.), but stock examples will also be considered if they're neat and tidy. -All panels must be straight and I will inspect extensively for any previous accident damage. -NOT interested in single turbo setups. -Vehicle must be made available for StateRoads inspection before purchase. I'm located in NSW but am certainly willing to travel interstate if I can't find anything locally. I'm really only interested in cars that are in decent/clean/neat/etc. condition. So if your car is rusted, damaged, or about to fall apart, you'll only be wasting your time by having me come look at it. Consider that it wouldn't cost you much at all to fly down to Melbourne to take a look at it. And it'll only cost you two tanks of petrol to drive it home... [bTW, I'm not related to the seller in any way/shape/form, just pointing out the obvious.] To the OP, best of luck with your sale. I think it's a very fairly priced R32 GT-R and if it wasn't grey, I most likely would've already taken the trip down to Melbourne to inspect it by now.

I've seen and been for a drive in this vehicle. Awesome car;— it looks wonderful in full sunlight and it's very quick too.

Hi all, I went and inspected this car last Tuesday (18 Jan 2011) , and I probably would've bought it except that on the following Friday I was offered a new job on a much higher salary and as such I am now looking for an R34 GT-R. Nevertheless, I thought I'd post my thoughts on Matt's car. * Body is straight. I checked all the weld points for signs of damage/repair;— couldn't find any. * I ran a magnet around the body of the car to check for bog. Magnet did not fall off at any point. (I was quite surprised, no other R32 I've inspected passed this test!) * Paint is 99% flawless. Only blemish was a minor scratch on the passenger side of the front bumper, no physical damage to the bumper/body. * All the electrics work. Windows are smooth. Car idles/revs smoothly. * Engine did not blow any smoke. * Interior is in good condition. No bubble in the dash and the driver's seat bolster showed almost no wear. * Some slight surface rust in the spare-tyre well. I inspected this thoroughly, it is only SLIGHT surface rust at this stage and has not moved into the metal. Would only require a light sanding to remove it. Otherwise you could just keep it garaged and it wouldn't get any worse. * Under-chassis was clear of rust. * Matt had the car idling for 15 minutes, I checked for oil/coolant leaks. Couldn't find any. Got under the car with a flashlight and ran my hands all under the engine/around the sump checking for leaks. Only thing I got was dirt on my hands. No oil leaks found. Overall, it's definitely one of the better R32s I've inspected. And as I said, I'd probably have it in my garage right now if I wasn't offered this new job. If I get time later over the weekend I'll post some photos I took of the car. I wish Matt all the best with selling this car.

Daniel, your car looks gorgeous. At the moment I'm trying to keep my budget centered around $20,000, however I will definitely be contacting you if I decide to sell my CalaisTurbo anytime soon. I have an unhealthy attachment to it and can't bring myself to sell it so far.

I'll be in Melbourne for a weekend in late July. If I haven't found what I'm looking for by then, I'd be interested in taking a look at your car. Like I said, I've inspected quite a few so far and haven't found one yet... I'm pretty particular... so I just might still be looking three months from now.
