  1. P-WRX ppl will be there... open cruise
  2. people have always asked for an external gear changer with the proper slots instead of just up and down, and also a clutch. i read that polyphony/sony were not interested in doing the whole 'proper gear setup' coz "each car in GT is different and you wouldn't be able to feel the difference.." EG some cars have 4 gears, some 6. it would be wierd. BUT WHO CARES HEY?! i'm dying for a proper setup. to the point where i might have to try make one on my own or employ someone to or something. i'm sure the demand will be there because with GT5 being physically and graphically very life-like, a proper stearing mechanism should be on the cars (EDIT: i meant on the cards, not cars; but it workd both ways). I can only hope that they are developing one in secret and then... BAM, release it and stun people. That's what I hope anyway
  3. how far have people gone? I've had it about 2 weeks and out of the 3 main cities (with 3 sections each - roch, middle and poor) i'm just over half way.. and that's doing everything (all view points, saving ppl etc). EXCEPT for the damn fkn flag pieces of sh!t. that would take ages. killer game. i can see the flaws but i cant wait for the improvementts in number 2 (there has to be one).

  9. i'll be there. in a Rex or (most probably) a highly-tuned R33. this will be the first time this car has seen the road in Australia, as it has spent the last 3 years in workshops getting put together! I look forward to sharing it with you guys. see you on the night (it will be a purple 'rainbow' coloured R33 with CFbonnet and rear wing. keep a look out and come say hi! Cheers, ALEX
  10. Hey guys! I'm new here and possibly about to get an already heavily-moddified R33. I noticed there is no welcome thread here? I currenty own a mod'd WRX and on perthwrx.com there is an "Introductions" thread under the 'general' section. see link below for a quick squizz: http://www.perth-wrx.com/vb/index.php I think it's a great idea as people can create a new thread saying 'hi', state what they have, what they plan to do and ask any immediate questions, as well as posting pics of their ride. If you wanted, after say 1/2 a year of having their welcome thread (or shorter if you wish) you can delete it, as all greetings will have been said and suggestions answered. Here's an idea of what it is like. this was my intro thread, with pics and some future mod plans, as well as people's responses. http://www.perth-wrx.com/vb/showthread.php...3704&page=1 hope you take this idea up as it would be great! Cheers, ALEX
  11. that, my friend, was a 'top-gear' report! (see what i did there?) The only critisism is that he hasn't bagged out Hammond enough for being short. haha, add that a bit in there i think. AND, more importantly, notice you start heaps of paragraphs with 'now'. just something i noticed. although he does seem to say 'now' a bit. good work ALEX
  12. PS3's online is free to play games.. to most degrees. you still pay a fee to buy stuff if you want.. eg big cheat 'patches' etc. you have to pay on 360 to play games online at all. big plus for ps3
  13. SKATE.. i just keep coming back to it! hey anyone who has Assasins Creed, I havent tried it yet but i'm dying to. worth the money?
  14. the Alpine MRV-F545 or MRV-F345 is a great amp in that it's not symetrical like most amps. it's a 4-channel amp, but the front 2 channels go to your front speakers (giving a good 100wrms each.. but check the different models) and the rear 2 channels can bridge to create 500wrms for your sub (or thereabouts.. check the model). best to go to ask in a quality audio shop about it. the bes tthing is it's not too big, powers what you want it to power and is Alpine quality.. the top model retails @ $799 but Alpine is so popular that the price is marked up heaps. You can walk away with it for i'd say $650 if you bargain.. maybe! at least $700 if you just buy the one amp. Hope it helps ALEX
  15. keep the sub in box for now and try facing it towards the rear.. then try rotating it around to face the seats.. then face it up etc. different cars give different results. out towards the boot is generally the loudest with sedans. If you want more noise, consider switching to a ported box (know what this is)? i think the 306c works better in a ported. you will need to make one up yourself or get a pro to design you one. you can find out how to by going to mobileelectronicsaustralia.com.au and searching the forums on information. you use the sub's information (found either on the Pioneer site or your instruction manual etc) to work out the best size, port length etc. Its easy to get wrong but not too hard to get right if you think about it a little, read up and are prepared to give some time. it can literally be twice as loud in a ported box wich is tuned correctly ALEX
  16. haha, the epilogue is quick hard action as it is.. on veteran would be insane. COD4 is something else. it's online mode is so deep hey. all the little challenges you have to do, with each gun too. I'm under "MUFF7ANG" on the PS3 network if anyone wants to add..
