New Zealand is a great place when it comes to atmo bov. And the $500 was in reference to some one saying it was a cheap ebay bov, when it wasn't and i dont have money for an hks one etc... Basically I spent the money already and if I can get it working without having to spend more on a new stock bov, after i bought this one, I would rather do that. I'll post up a video tommorow with how I have it installed and the sound it does. It might just be that the sound that is being produced is correct but i'm freaking out beacuse it's different.

It wasn't, I bought it from Repco in NZ. Not everyone can afford to spend $500 on a blow off valve. Especially when it's not needed yet. Well my mechanic advised me that the stock one was leaking. If it doesn't hurt the turbo then I don't really care what it sounds like, but that's my main concern. If this is what it's meant to sound like then that's fine with me. Thank you for all your support and input everyone.

Lol Funky, that's the one. So there's no way to get rid of the surge? I either have to live with it or get a stock bov? My bov was leaking so that's why I replaced. And how bad is this for the turbo? Is it just bouncing around in the pipes or would it actually hurt the turbo? I've noticed it pop sometimes but is that just flames or is that a small backfire? (backfire's shocks would hurt the turbo...) Edit: I'll try to upload a video of the sound it makes and how it's set up this friday as well.

Can't plumb it back since it's an atmo bov, and yes i've tried adjusting the pressure screw on it. Any ideas?

What type? Racepro S Type BOV Is it a cheap ebay special? Nah How is it connected? Bolt on with a kit but I had to bung one of the pipes? What setup was there previous Stock plumb back system Car: R33 GTST S1

Hello Everyone, I just installed a new bov and i keep getting surge noise, ive tried adjusting the little pressure valve on the bov but no luck, any suggestions?

Cheers. Sorry to bump but I'm having this problem and my car randomly stalls as well and the VVT solenoid makes sense. I'll try it out today. Just fyi, I left the ticking sound unattended for months, and I checked everything that would cause the car to stall except for the VVT so the pieces fit.

As gotrice advised, need the size for the bov return so that i can plug up the intake. The car sitting in a garage about a 1 hour drive from me atm and i'd like to get the part before i see it so i can finish the bov. When i get home next week. I'd really apreciate the measurements. Hey guys, Was just wondering if anyone knew how big the plumb back pipe was in diameter as I need to buy a bung or something to blank it and im at work without measuring tools. This is for an r33 gtst.

Can't seem to find it... is it openly visible or do I have to unbolt stuff to see it?

Could some one please tell me where the starter motor is on a 33 gts automatic? Cheers.
