hi guys, was in a crash about 3 weeks ago and cant be bothered fixing my car, so i want it gone. have a series 2 r33 gtst and looking the sell the whole thing. has 92,000 km on the clock and still runs great, even after the crash. only after market parts are an exhaust(3 inch turbo back), coilovers and a pod. a car hit the passage side door at about 25 km's, also has front left hand side damage. is a fixable wrote off although i pretty sure its not worth the effort. willing to text pic's to anyone that is interested. looking for 5,500 for everything, but am open to offers will also part out, but would be very flexible if someone wanted to take the whole thing. names kyle, 0421 566 078 located in canberra thanks

hi guys, just had a few quick questions on an engine transplant. i have been forced into this and my r33 was written off, and me being no insured make's things difficult. The engine/gear box is all fine, so my plan is to drop it into a rolling shell and go from there. 1. Would it be worth doing an 180sx rb25 conversion? As I have all the hardware already and my uncle is a mechanic, best mate is an auto elec so it should be quite cheap. if i can find the shell 2. how much lighter is an r32 shell then a r33, would that be worth looking at?? 3. how much should i be looking to pay, at the moment i don’t want to spend more then $2,500 on my shell. is that just to cheap?? 4. where should i be looking for shell's, because i have only found 1 good one and its in cairns, im in Canberra so that kinda makes it hard . Other then that I haven’t found anything good any other ideas you guys have would be great, as im not quiet sure what to do in this situation.

no it helps, i can shop around in those cities as well....... the car is in Cairns, thats a 28hour drive so im thinking i will have to find another one if i wanna go the shell idea

already came into a problem, just called canberra carways and they wont touch a car that wont drive............ any suggestions on how to get a shell from qld to canberra as cheap as possible?

only on my phone, and i cant upload it... got someone coming to look at the car today, might be buying the shell "pintaline" suggested, dropping all my stuff in there and maybe a few extra bits i was going to by a bucket of shit and just drive that for a few years....... but i loved my line and really want another one, plus buliding it back up would be fun

So this is how it happened… to end all the debate. I was driving along the park way at about 6.10, heading towards belco. it was pissing down rain. I was doing just over the speed limit, say 85 km’s. I had just come out of a tunnel and there was a slight corner, I went to turn and the car went straight….. touched the brake just lightly and the back end came out and that was just about that…… I have never had so little control over a car in my life. I was sliding for close to 350 meters and ended up hitting the guard rail with the front, pulling the front bar off and a little panel damage…… then it finally came to a stop… with my ass up against the guard rail, front end pointing out and yes I was at 90 degrees. Sat there for about 10 seconds and had enough time to think “ this is ok, I’ll just buy a new front bar and put my front mount on…. Will be ok” my mate was just about to jump out of the car, as 4 cars had driven past. Then we seen this car just rolling up… at first I thought he was rolling up nice and close to help. Then he wasn’t slowing down. Not really braking…. Not doing anything to prevent a collision. it looked like someone rolling up to traffic lights…. Then bang…. Hit at about 30 into the passenger side door. First thing he said was “I didn’t see u”……. now 4 cars had slowed down and driven around. I totally understand that I shouldn’t have been there, don’t worry about that. And I know if I was to take him to court I would lose points and get a small fine. BUT. I had crashed, I had managed to keep enough control over my vehicle to not damage anyone else’s. he didn’t. And yes if ur interested in buying any of my stuff it will be for sale quiet soon im thinking…. Unless I get a good quote to fix it….. but I cant see that happening

Exactly, that’s how the cops explained it to me. They said its the same in a pile up, the person the crashes into u from behind has to pay because they weren’t driving to the conditions and are as much at fault . 3-4 cars drove around it, he just wasn’t watching the road and that’s my car is written off.

well thats why im asking, i assumed it was all my fault but the police and the few ppl i have been though it with say the other guy is responsible. i was sitting there for close to 10 seconds, not moving before i was hit. i had only slight damage before he hit me, and he clearly wasnt watching the road. i totally understand i am at fault as well, but im only asking what you guys think, as most of the time u give good advice. and if u werent so busy being smart ass and had a look at the end of my first post, u would see that i don't have insurance

yeah it sucks, but does anyone have any advice about what i should do for a car? sell all my parts and start again? 180sx conversion? r33 shell? jump off a cliff? give me something guys
