saw a white 33 GTST today in warrnambool. i think its from around here, have seen it a bit. has the old style SAU stickers. exchanged waves...numberplates are something like DODG3Y?
  2. - brand new Monza oil/radiator catch can, never used. comes with all fittings/brackets/lines etc - SOLD also remembered i have a boost guage. - 52mm Calibre boost guage w/cup. numbers light up blue, needle orange, white face. $40
  3. Have got my turbo gear up for sale. converted back to NA due to compressor bearings failing and not having the funds to get it rebuilt/the time. most of this gear (well all of it, cos thats why i bought it ) would be suitable for anyone looking to convert their NA to turbo. - standard GTST airbox w/ snorkel -$75 - standard side mount intercooler piping not all parts are here, only some - $40 - standard R33 GTST crossover pipe. sanded down and sprayed in engine enamel black, comes with vacuum line bracket - $50 - standard RB25DET heatshielding (for manifold and turbo housing, painted in engine enamel black) - $20 - standard R33 GTST side mount intercooler (flushed clean) - $75 SMIC - standard R34 GTT side mount intercooler (flushed clean) - $150 SMIC - standard R33 GTST ECU (manual) - $150 - turbosmart Supersonic BOV (ajustable, single port, comes with RB20/25 adapter) $150 - brand new Monza oil/radiator catch can, never used. comes with all fittings/brackets/lines etc - $50 as well as this gear, there is also an ECU up for grabs. was chipped and maped by Toshi to suit an RB25 with hi-comp (ie NA motor), a bosch 040 fuel pump, standard turbo, injectors, intercooler, for 7PSI. never got the ECU as the day i put the order in my turbo died, so its still with Toshi. PM him for details/price here: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Toshi-m1094.html prices do not include postage, but for most of them, shouldnt be too much post your interest here or just PM me if your interested. Josh
  4. would these extractors be a direct bolt up to a 33? any soundclips of how they sound like too...

    Coby Extractors

ohh... two threads lol. count me in guys.
  7. maybe. but iv taken it as a sign (call me a pussy all you like) to stick with the NA side. main reasons being; - insurance - cop attention (not that i get any anyway but still) - less chance of shit breaking on a unmodded NA motor - having access to a workshop now where i can build up a fresh motor from scratch at my own pace - the joy of making my NA go a bit harder (even tho it wont be anywhere near the fun of a turbo) - my housing situation atm (parents suck) - not having a second daily runabout - the fact i kept all my NA gear
  8. update: have placed money down with toshi, hes working on my new ECU now cant wait, very exciting stuff. also, 040 is here now, have to pick it up in the next couple of days... plumbed up my oil overflow/breather into the intake, idles perfectly now. also got some black silicone hose, so once i put that on itl be nice n stealthy have booked in for a day in the workshop with a dyno so will spend the day putting the pump in, ECU, and giving it the final touchup tune with the new ECU once this is done, its time for a bigger exhaust and new coilpacks.... anyone had experience with anything other/cheaper than splitfires?
  9. wouldnt be the fuel pressure reg would it? would explain why it happens when youv got the fuel primed but not having the motor on...
  10. haha, noice...what happend to the rims in your av? they look shooweet on the 34. yeah working on the silicon hose, yet to find any for a reasonable price (autobarn had a tiny length of it for like $50 , everywhere else has blue, or red, but no black) oh, and the breather is soon to be replaced by a catchcan might spray it in engine enamel black just to complete the look
  11. yep...going on a spending spree tomorow. picking up the following; -sealed catch can -ordering a bosch 040 -ordering the plumbback adapter for that BOV (gotta love turbosmart interchangable -putting money down for an ECU off toshi -some new hosing here and there -start pricing some decent coilpacks (most likely splitfires) and as i said earlier, looking into a larger exhaust, front/dump pipes atleast to try and minimise some of the detonation.
  12. yeah was bout to say, it was me ... have contacted toshi about a remap, hopefully should start me on the way to solving these problems
  13. hey toshi, got a question similar to "datsfreak", only difference being, my motor is a RB25DE+T (ie, hi-comp turbo motor) a list of the mods iv done so far is here, along with a few bits that are on the drawing boards (bigger fuel pump, rising rate regulator, bigger exhaust) as you can probly tell, im building it up to be basically a high comp standard RB25DET motor. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Ig...em-t277719.html basically why im asking is that i live in western victoria, which would be a good 18-20hour trip from sydney (in that time, anything can break, especially on an untuned car) would it still be possible for me to send you up my ECU and get a remapped one sent down to suit my highcomp motor? would there be any extra cost involved etc... i have access to a dyno so yeah...have heard nothing but good things about you mate, theres plenty of other tuners down here in vic/sa, but you seem to give the best bang for buck from what i can tell... hope you can help me
  14. pretty sure thered be a PCV in there somewhere from stock, yes? if not then thats no biggy, will invest. what part/stage of the intake should i plumb into? thanks for you help johnny, much appreciated
  15. yeah about the rev fluctuating, it is running an air filter ontop of the cam cover, that does explain it alot now will get a can...is there anywhere else it can plug into? (ie theres a hose running up from the turbo atm thats just plugged up with a bolt cos we didnt know where to put it) as for the air/fuel issue, would that be casued because the camshaft profiles on the NA and turbo motors are different? if so then that makes complete sense. correct me if im wrong but it isnt possible to remap the air/fuel mixture on the 25DET ECUs is it, which is where id have to go with johnnys sugestion
  16. if they were metal blades...maybe :S
  17. bump - iv decided next pay day to invest in a rising rate fuel reg and possibly a new fuel pump...i guess its a case of trial and error? unless someone can pinpoint what exactly the problems might be....
  18. one would presume the blades shattered and went through
  19. wow talk about dig up an old post ^
  20. heres a few shots of my bay, hasnt really changed much since i uploaded it the other time, its just the small fine adjustments along the way that have improved performance oh and the addition of the bigger R34 GTT intercooler. aside from the BOV, you wouldnt know it was turbo until you felt the surge of power
  21. well iv had this problem pretty much since day 1 of my turbo conversion. basically, on cold mornings, it runs like a box of shit. attempt to give it the slightest throttle, or put it under any sort of load (more than 2 passengers, driving up a hill, give it a moderate bootful) and pretty much, can hear the boost being spooled, motor amping up the revs, but no go. can feel spulttering etc from the motor ie: misfireing. it comes good once its warmed up, but hey, it shouldnt really do that in the first place, even if it was cold? mods are: RB25DE (highcomp NA motor) standard RB25 series 2 turbo @7psi standard turbo injectors (again, series 2) std front/dump pipe 2.5" catback exhaust (noticably restrictive, getting replaced soon) running castrol edge 10W60 with a bottle of lucas stabiliser standard airbox with K&N filter turbosmart supersonic (?) BOV (basically, single port to a trumpet) new set of spark plugs put in (standard champions, RC10YX4) standard fuel pump (dunno if turbo/nonturbo pumps are diff?) standard GTST series 1 ECU Standard GTST S1 AFM this issue of spluttering is also apparent in revs higher than 4.5k, when warmed. i dont know exactly what it is. a few theories me and people who look at it are: blowby caused by incorrect gap in spark plugs not enough fuel ie leaning out because the injectors arnt reaching the proper duty cycle (solution, bosch 040w/ rising rate fuel regulator) just needs a decent tune another issue im having is purging aswell. let it sit at the traffic lights for a minute or so and watch the revs fluctuate! this has only happend since i put the GTST ECU in) again possible theories behind that are the need of a tune, or leaning out at idle for some strange reason? i just need some input from you guys whov had more exp with turbo motors than i have. im still on a steep learning curve but iv learnt alot about it on the way ideas?
