they run out of power after about 6 anyway. unless you had different profile cams and stuff it wouldnt be worth it. my 25DET revs out to 8 but only makes power till 7 really (on its current tune)

best sounding NA RB iv heard has to be this guys - yes its and RB30 bottom end, but jeez.

You CAN make an NA look like that. Its still 4stud, just with a turbo driveline and GTSt brakes

Not sure what the laws are in qld regarding converstions like that. BUT....if you were in Vic all you would need is to change the engine number over at VicRoads and away you go. Because the R33s came out with that particular engine (the RB25DE) you wont need a mod plate. And i believe this is also the case if you were to do a 26 or even a 20 as they both made appearances in that shell aswell.

if that was the case wouldnt any gears hold?

just noticed today when i went to go into third gear, as soon as i shift up and then proceed to load it up, it jumps out of gear. and same deal with 4th aswell. 1st, 2nd and 5th are all fine. iv had trouble pretty much since i got the box in the car last year of it going into 3rd and 4th, usually grinding itself in under only moderate load. what is the possible cause and solution to this? I am able to hold the gear in manually with the shifter but as soon as i let go it lets go aswell. cheers...

just did the original method of this, except with a 40000k white LED, same resistor though 120OHM, worked a treat only it looks a little yellower than i was hoping, doesnt really match the LEDs in my cluster

thanks to livicuru, have bought rotors and brakes. cheers all who replied if i need any more parts il post them in here but i think i should be right

after a set of front GTSt brake calipers to suit the corresponding rotor size. and if anyone has front rotors in decent nick maybe them aswell, otherwise il be buying brand newys. will be getting redrilled to 4stud. cheers

hahahaha. nice. this is what a 3" straight pipe on a TURBO sounds like. no restriction, not too big, perfect size.

has more to do with engine response...from my experience. went from my stock exhaust with blitz cannon to a custom made 2.5" system with two mufflers, the original exhaust had more response down low in the rev range but petered out toward higher revs, whereas the 2.5" one had less balls down low but revved alot more freely in the higher revs...

i got so sick of the sound of my NA that i ditched it and bought a DET. but seriously, might i recommend an aftermarket ECU with launch control. youl be able to pop flames and crackles when your hitting your 4grand limiter and down the track if you mod the car its adaptable to whatever you put on it
