  1. i rekn what you should do is do mods to your NA now that would future proof yourself for the turbo down the track: - free flowing exhaust + high-flow cat (3" about) - injectors - CAI - Cams - GTR intake plenum (not essential but with twin TBs would be nice to have) - 5stud converstion (again not essential, but GTSt brakes could be handy to have) with this all out of the way then you can start mounting up the parts needed for the DET converstion, ie turbo, piping, FMIC, etc
  2. pic of the sideskirts plz?

  7. could always invest in a solid state drive (SSD) which is basically a large capacity flash drive in the 2.5" laptop drive form factor. has the power savings of flash drives, also alot more suited to incar systems as there are no moving parts only prob is theyre about double the price (or more) of conventional HDDs
  8. loving that...what wheels have you got? they look good at speed little less blur everywhere else and itd be perfect
  9. another idea leading on from shanus', is to get a bit of plastic/perspex/whatever made to fit the DIN hole, and drill holes for guages etc. volt, vacuum come to mind
  10. air compressor? to get the top layer of loose dust off atleast, then degreaser
  11. did you have to modify the exhaust at all for it to fit your 34? i didnt know they were interchangable like that... and please do post a vid i really wanna hear it
  12. if you wanted a RWD skyline you shouldnt have got a GTS4 in the first place. other thing to remember is that GTS4s are RWD 90% of the time anyway, its just if you loose traction it will throw some power to the front wheels, and even then its minimal
  13. ^ true. it may sound too simple but it is a possibility. headunits arnt likely to pick up something if its been formatted as just a hard drive. looking in computer management (vista) there is an option when you format a drive connected via USB, to be formatted in "exFAT", which i assume is why windows sees USB flash drives as "Removeable Storage" and not just more normal drives. in theory, formatting in exFAT should make the drive visible to a headunit, in THEORY (not proven)
  14. http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_p...roducts_id=7195 no USB required for car integration just a LCD headunit.. even has a 12V car adaptor included..
  15. are you talking about the ones next to the indicators, or the ones that were factory options located underneath the indicators? (where theres usually a plastic grill, only on M-Spec bars)
  16. +1 straightline performance could be had with a RB30 conversion and a bit of head work and internals. fuel systems etc, but yeah. 2.5L isnt really the best size for getting much torque out of. il admit, a friends EB falcon beat me in a drag, mind you it had a bit of work done to it (cams, MPFI converted) but 4.0L really does own 2.5L for torque and shear power, its just physics. however the other part of that story is that round the twisty roads, she couldnt keep up . so skylines really do have great weight distribution compared to the urban boats that are the commondores and falcoons.
  17. DET is short for the RB25DET, which is what GTSts have. basically, you have a DE, non turbo, hence T stands for turbo D= Dual Overhead Cams E= EFI (Electronic Fuel Injection) T= Turbo and for the record, i think handling mods, even cheap ones like sway bars and strut braces, are a good investment no matter what power levels you have
  18. quick question, my 33 needs a topup of oil (isnt completly depleted but could do with a topup) would it be better to just drain the old oil and start fresh, or could i top up with something else. i dont knwo what they used before i got it cos iv only had my car about 6 months. from having a flick through this thread im guessing 5W 30, seems as i live down in southern vic where it does get cold. however approaching summer where it tends to get warm-ish down here im almost tempted to go 10W 40...what would you all recomend? im on a modest budget, but if its worth spending the extra then i might just. car is an R33 GTS25 (non turbo)
  19. all the more reason to get it redone in matte
