what nic is the RB25 alternator in? mines just died so might need a new one...

living in a country town is gonna be hard to find one for a jap import...unless they are a universal fit? what else would suit a RB25? im thinking one from a R31/VL (RB30)?

was pulling out from the bank today and all of the sudden my battery light comes on on the dash, alternator commences screaming its head off. my stereo and electrics all flicker and turn off/or operate faster than usual... drove straight home and flicked her off, turned it on again to see if it was still there and it was. give it a rev and the scream returns, windows go superfast...tho when a device such as the windows are used, the battery light goes off, i guess because its using charge...tends to suggest the alternator might be overcharging... for instance, my windows go up and down superfast now...havnt been game to try anything else out in fear of burning it out...but wth? makes sense that the screaming coming from the alternator tricks the battery light on, but why? whats happend? would my alternator be on the way out? is it overcharging/overtentioned pulley? and what should i do next? :S cheers...

even better, could ditch the 25 and go for a RB30 bottom end? . keep an eye out in the classifieds tho, i know theres a couple of GTS4 wrecks im watching that had motor and running gear etc...they tend to pop up regularly.

hey all, after some clear side indicators for my 33. popup every now and then but cant seem to find any atm. will resort to buying them new if i cant have any luck here. will pay for freighting. cheers

i get induction noise through my stock airbox lols. all iv done is put a K&N panel oiled filter filter in it. driving through close streets can hear it clearly sucking away

hey corey, have you got a pic of what you did for option 1? like the fuse box. and did you use a seperate switch or does it just come on when you click it over to accesories? sounds pretty neat otherwise just what i want

iv got 3 sets of dual white neons that connect via ciggy lighter ports (surprises much). using them as ambient lighting to go in the footwells, down the centre console, and also under the front seats to illuminate the rear footwells. something subtle for classyness dont really want to use the ciggy port as A. it gets in the way B. i have other plans for that power socket C. it looks tacky iv got a 3port ciggy power splitter i picked up with the lights, so i figure i can use that still, and have it all bundled near a alternate 12V power source within the car. where would you suggest i connect it to? like obviously the battery compartment or somewhere in the dash, but where? any good/bad spots. cheers

just upgraded my stereo and after having one flat battery, decided itd be a good idea to get a volt guage to tell me how much juice i have left in my battery before im stuck somewhere with a flat do they just connect straight up to the positive and negative of the battery terminals? is there a more closely located fuse/outlet that it could be hooked onto instead? car is a R33 so battery is in the boot... cheers

what would the CF film be like in the heat? id imagine that itd bubble in the aussie sun...unless it has a special thing to prevent it. let us know how it fairs anyway also coming from the PC scene iv had a bit of experience with this film beforehand, ima case modder from way back.. http://www.gammods.com.au/store/index.php?...mp;keyword=film would be a good way to fix my poxed gear surround and dash facia tho.

imo doesnt need spacers...they sit nicely. the impuls suit it down to the bone wish i couldve got some for my liner but no 4stud sounds look great , how much was that pioneer unit itself? and how badly does that subbox fill up your boot man i gotta do a thread like this, iv had a similar couple of weeks in the hols, major upgrades xD

at i guess id say something to do with your power steering pump, if its to do with turning when cold. but i could be wrong. best thing is to start troubleshooting the simple things before you get too worried.

try doing full lock turns in either direction, one of your splash guards may have come loose. happend to me and at first i had no idea. if that isnt it then its prolly something more major, speshly if it has to do with the temp.
