after smashing my DE box the other week, finally got around to putting in a DET gearbox. all bolted in fine and is running, only problem is my speedo doesnt work! has anyone else here had this trouble? i did have to retrofit the plugs that came with my replacement box to the existing loom, but that didnt work....im guessing i havnt got them in the right order or something, unless its something more major. any help would be appreciated, sick of not knowing how fast im going (revs are hard enough, especially trying to contend with fixed speed cameras)

will be pulling the box off the car most likely early next week now, so il asses the damage more then fellas.

was going to rebuild it but ended up putting another box in it because itd take less time. you cant select 3rd gear , its just like the cars in neutral. but any other gear is fine, not sure whats happend as i havnt pulled it apart but yeah.

have got a few items up for sale, some are damaged - R33 rear reinforcement bar (reo), un dinted, got it with replacement bar, not needed - $60 delivered - R33 rear bar, has been caved in left hand corner , could be repaired and resprayed - $40 delivered - R33 rear lhs tailight. has a chip out of the indicator, far left hand side, otherwise fine, comes with globes - $30 delivered - R33 GTST 5spd gearbox, has blown 3rd gear, otherwise fine. would suit rebuild - $500 ono - RB25DET crossover pipe (between plenum and intercooler) $40 delivered PM me, or post here for interest

am going to the wreckers today to test out a different headlight stalk, will let you know how it goes

the only thing i have done was pull the centre console apart to change the globe in the gear selector. it used to happen off and on when i went around corners or over bumps, and now its just like it all the time... i was thinking a bad earth too, but where? :S

ok in my R31 im having this stupid stupid problem. i turn my lights on, tailights come on fine, headlights a no-go, same with high-beams. aswell as this when i turn the headlights on my windscreen wipers come on, indicators all come on at once and stay on very dim, my dash tacho and speedo go to zero, and all other guages have erratic behavior, powershift light and door ajar light come on, and also the volt light. when driving, it also kicks down the auto to a lower gear.... similar thing happens when i use my indicators, the said above side effects happen indicators work fine! but what makes this worse is the auto then fluctuates between gears as the indicators blink O_O. its giving me the biggest headache ever, especially seeing as this is my only car at the moment and i cant drive it at night. iv pulled the dash out and checked all connections. pulled every fuse from under the dash and checked for blown ones, checked all of the grounds in the engine bay that i can find, checked connections to the headlight elements etc. im out of ideas anyone else able to shed some light?

yeah, mine was making noise for a while, yet to take it out of the car but im guessing either; A. the fluid leaked out B. diff oil may have been used, i remember something about ATF tho... initially thought it was the thrust bearing, but after this im guessing it was the box. one of those things you learn i guess.

what viscoscity oil should i use for a RB25DET gearbox? does this vary with the age/kilometers the box has done? just destroyed mine, thinking it may have been wrong oil...either way i dont have third gear

TEIN superstreet coilovers at their lowest setting, sitting on Apec Apaches, 18x8 all round. the apaches are copies of some other wheel i think, but they do their job

spotted a white S2 GTST heading out of west geelong today. had gold wheels, looked very clean, think its on here but not sure. i was in the red stato with a new rear bar for mine in the back. theyre good for somthing atleast...
