  1. Always wanted a radar detector. Guess I just don't know enough about them. Apparently you can get into heaps of trouble if the cops find out you have one. Hmm. Still, it sure would be nice to try one out haha. GL
  2. Looks like Nissan spent all their money creating the inside of the car and used what they had left to make the outside. Ugly... agreed. Still, wouldnt mind a 'test drive'.
  3. I think "doh" fits in here rather well. As with the 2nd hand tires... Northwest went over the tires with me. Still had all the tread and what-not. Havnt had any problems so-far and the guys seemed pretty honost. Plus I know some other people who buy from them. They never had a problem with their 2nd hand tires. As they say, "time will tell".
  4. Yep, my little bro. Was him that convinced me to buy the car.
  5. No, house painter. I just like to 'zoom zoom'.
  6. Cool, me too. My R33 is a 97model. GTR-T. Shiny white. Mmm shiny. So grats on the car! Lots of fun! Recently got myself some 2nd hand back tires from Northwest in Fyshwick. Im DARN poor after Autotech stuffed up an inspection on my car. Bought the darn thing only to have problems. Oh well. Still, tires seem pretty good and was charged $150ea. Sooooo need money hahaha
  7. Just found this post. Pretty cool stuff. Did you guys have any cop problems? Doesnt sound like it. Any "speeding"? You can tell me, I wont tell.
  8. Well I actually found someone. GIO insurance. They have a sub-branch called Custom Car Insurance. Charged me just over a $1000. Still a lot, but I was'nt very lucky with any others. Still, they seem pretty good and helpful. Note I drive my car everyday, 31yo and no bad history with crime. Helps.. just a BIT!
  9. (Edit... Found info, thx) Hi all. Im new to the forums and driving a Skyline. Its all very exciting driving my new car after owning a Mazda 626 (84 model) for 11 years or so. My questions is on insurance. Im thinking about going with Suncorp. $1200 compr. Well, thats what I got online. Yet to call em. Being 31yo male, no accident history or speeding fines, I thought this would be easy. Im sure you guys can help me with a good mob to insure my new beast? I am rather shocked at how Nissan Skyline owners are treated by a lot of insurance companies. My brother has a hotted up MR2 which rock's, yet he seems to get it easy. I always figured it was the driver, not the car that caused the accidents. Oh well, 'them's the breaks' I guess. (my new car)
  10. Brother had one of these. Had the twin turbo, sunroof, yellow paint job etc, awesome looking car. Some guy ended up hitting him and the car was a right off. As said above, he didnt care much for repairs. Usually the engine was pulled out to fix one thing. He was also looking at better cooling before the crash. These days he drives an MR2 and doesnt look back. If I was you, I would find something else. Unless you have the money to blow on a car's upkeep.
  11. Came across your little forum and thought I would leave a few words... Left WoW about 2 months ago. Have about 12 months of playing all up, quitting twice in that time. Have a 70 rogue with flying mount and a 62 mage. Will return one day to have a bit of fun with new content. Until then, I'm playing Teamfortress2, best pvp game ever!! Best part about WoW for me was leveling up (experiencing the game) and playing the expansion. Expansion is the best part for most players. Blizz have learned what is good and bad in the game 'experience' and it shows. [Need lev58 to enter the expansion area.] I wouldn't recommend playing WoW if you have a 56k modem or a crappy computer. Game shines with adsl and a decent comp. You can get an 8meg connection for about $60 these days. 1gig of RAM also helps a LOT in WoW. After that, a good vid card is recommended. WoW is also the most popular MMO out there, but its not the best. The game is old and shows once you have played some of the newer MMO games out there. Its by no means the worst MMO either and I did find it fun, although it has many aspects that I don't like. $15 a month to play this game isnt much. Its very expensive for a games company to run such a game and a large portion go's into keeping the game running and updating it. You can quit playing, come back 6 months later and have fresh content to play with. Words of Wisdom: I tell new people to pick 3 classes to play and get each one to level 20. After that pick your favorite and play ONLY that character to 70. The reason being, there are many aspects in the game that you HAVE to do, and can be rather repetitive or annoying at times. Best to have one character, play till your bored then choose another game. With WoW based on a "reputation" system, getting your rep up with more then one character can be VERY annoying. Having played a few MMO games, I think this is not a game to have more then one toon. One more thing, I find pvp servers for hardcore players only. The amount of time you spend 'dead' can be a lot and a waste of good playing time. You need the best of everything to win most games so Normal servers are the way to go. Use Battlegrounds if you want to pvp. Its a lot fairer and no ghost walking!! My 2 cents...
