Which Hks Pipe Kit Am I After.....help!
Martin HKS replied to Bakes's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Yep, you need the 1302-SN034. I love the old HKS Metal Flow Filters but unsure if they will fit with the Special Full Piping Kit (distance from AFM to inner guard with piping kit may be too tight for them). I'm pretty sure I have one in stock for the R34 if you want me to check. Drop me an email at work tomorrow and I'll let you know how much (about $1550 from memory). It's [email protected] Cheers Marty -
Will These Turbos Suit My Appication?
Martin HKS replied to badgtr34's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Correct which shows that if you want boost by 3000rpm these turbo's are too big. Stick with the GT-SS for response. Cheers Marty -
Good son of rajab. Better off with the HKS GT570 Performance package. Even wait for the HKS GT600 pagake to be released for much better bang for buck. Cheers Marty

Will These Turbos Suit My Appication?
Martin HKS replied to badgtr34's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Go for HKS GT-SS if 3000rpm is your aim. I think Performance Wholesale has them on sale at the moment for $3000 all up. You can email them at [email protected] or the web www.hks.com.au I saw a HKS 2.8L RB with 264/272 cams and GT-RS make on a BNR33 429kw (575HP) at 4 wheels at 22psi boost. The boost response was as follows. 2200rpm = 2.2psi 3200rpm = 4.5psi 4000rpm = 7.4psi 4250rpm = 10psi 4750rpm = 22psi (max set) Cheers Marty -
What Management System To Go For My 32 Gtr?
Martin HKS replied to badgtr34's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Unless the engine is consuming enough air that the AFM are causing a restriction. Otherwise I agree. Cheers Marty -
Melted Pistons Only On Intake Side?
Martin HKS replied to Shockster0429's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Looks like a big case of too lean. Why it does it on the intake side is due to cylinder inefficiencies on intake. Swirl in the chamber or intake valve shroud or short side radius air flow etc etc. will cause one part of the piston/chamber to have a problem with detonation first. I suggest you find a new tuner if they reckon all is well. Cheers Marty -
Here's a pic of the HKS kit. Cheers Marty

I don't think you will find the T62R BB as they still haven't been released yet. We have one on order for a customer in Aust. and should have here shortly for him. They are made in limited number and are pre order only (if anyone else wants one better PM me fast). The Garrett equivalent weighs 10kg more than the T51 on our scales so that makes a big difference for starters. Attached is a pic of the exhaust housing available in 1.00 or 1.20 A/R which is a lot different to the Garrett. Cheers Marty

You can also look at the HKS pump kit which I think is 240L/H. The Aus Distributor has them on sale until the end of the month for $400 I think. You can email them to find out at [email protected] Cheers Marty

Yep. They look the goods. 1) Sorry but I cannot disclose new information publically yet about the new version. We are under contract as the Aust Distributor and there are things I can't do legally such as give away this kind of info. When I can I'll post them up for you. 2) Tom did not renew his contract with us (HKS) so returned his tuning dongle key. He can no longer tune F-CON computers. He is still selling some old product that was in stock but will not be supplied anything new from HKS. Cheers Marty
-
Correct. When we are setting up HKS Pro Dealers in Australia they will be Power Writer shops. So only Tunehouse and XSpeed can tune F-CON V Pro (there is a new version coming out soon as well) at the moment. Unfortunately BD4 didn't renew their contract and can no longer tune the HKS product so now Tunehouse is the only shop in Sydney until we sign/contract some others. HKS will be visiting in Oct for more training on the new version of F-Con V Pro so its definatly worth the call. Jim's (Tunehouse) Chassis Dyno room is probably the most impressive I have seen in Aust. Let me know if I can help with anything else. My email is [email protected] Cheers Marty

HKS have been utilizing the stepper motor for years over the cheaper solenoid version offered by other manufacturers. It is the best form of boost control on the market, that's why HKS use this method. I say go for it as you won't look back. You can even buy software for it to tune via laptop to make you boost control better again. CheersMarty

Most F-CON V Pro computers from Japan are locked. Even the two Pro Dealers in Australia cannot access these maps. They reset the computers and start again. It's Japan's "Tuners Intellectual Copyright" apparently so even if say for example BD4 did the tune on the F-CON now you take it to Tunehouse (because BD4 cannot tune them anymore) and that said unit was locked, you would be having a complete remap done. It's the same on other computers in Aust. (like Haltech/Motec etc) when tuners lock them. Japan just seem to do it more than Aussie's. As for the Camp 2 you cannot change any F-CON V Pro setting. It is for viewing only. Below is the extract: F-CON mode The input value and/or the output value of each F-CON sensor can be monitored. F-CON S / SZ / SA / iS setting data can be monitored and edited when connected to CAMP2. Unique settings can be made based on engine specification, such as exhaust type or intake type. (Data for F-CON V Pro cannot be edited.) There are some items cannot be monitored depending on F-CON model and/or installed sensors. I don't know of anyone successfully being able to do anything positive with the V-PRO unless you have the licence dongle to map it correctly. We will occasionally purchase one online to see if anyone has cracked it and they always are a waist of money. Best bet is to call Jim at Tunehouse in Sydney or Hanson in Perth for your tuning needs. Try www.hks.com.au Cheers Marty

Hks Camshafts Into Rb20 Researched, One Last Question
Martin HKS replied to 335's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
HKS don't make 272 camshafts for the RB20 and haven't for as long as I've been selling them. So are you attempting to use RB26 camshafts instead? If yes then don't forget they are made for solid lifters and have a different profile to suit. Stick to the correct camshaft for the application will be easier. Cheers Marty -
Rb26 Rod Bolt Part Number - Search Out Of Action
Martin HKS replied to Angus Smart's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Do not use the SR20 rod bolts. They are not correct. We sell the 202-6004 for these rods. The shank and OAL are better suited. Have them in stock if needed. Cheers Marty -
Interesting - do tell more! SydneyKid - Care to elaborate on this? Cheers Marty

Yep. Looks about right. You sure shouldn't have any fueling issues. HKS regulator is adjustable and can be used in your application. They look the same as the NISMO regulators and have -6AN male fittings (which cuts down on having to buy them separatly). Some other regulators don't have very large orifice so steer clear of those types. Cheers Marty

Give Hanson at XSpeed a call as they have some of the toughest Skylines in WA. His number is 08 9331 8088. He can even supply and fit a F-CON iS or the F-CON V Pro which both have automatic shift control. Seeing as you are close to Sydney I suggest you call Jim at Tunehouse. They have been appointed as the HKS Pro Dealer and can tune your F-CON computer. His number is 02 9557 4000. You can also get this info from www.hks.com.au Cheers Marty

Fuel comes from tank (pump) to fuel filter then a y-piece into either end of the rail. Outlet of rail is in the middle which plumbs to regulator then to the tank return line. I'm sure if you have a look at the gallery pics you will soon see. Which rail did you get. 10.5mm for standard injectors or the 11.0mm for upgraded injectors? Why don't you purchase the matching HKS regulator as well? Cheers Marty
-
The HKS distributor in Aust (Performance Wholesale) sells these as well. Full stainless $875inc and the Mild steel version is cheap at $635inc. They can be reached at [email protected] Cheers Marty
-
Or you can email the HKS Australian Distributor on [email protected] They have them in stock and ready to go for $3879inc. Actuators are extra. The GT-SS come with actuators as do the GT-RS but the GT2530's accept factory actuators or HKS have the actuator upgrade to suit. I think Performance Wholesale has them in stock as well for $290inc Cheers Marty

The Racing Chamber Kit does not have anything to do with pipework to the turbo's. It's only the pipe across the engine and Y-Pipe to intercooler pipework before the inner guard. You need a racing suction kit 70020-AN008 plus the airflow-less adapters. Cheers Marty

The Blue Plastic Injector is HKS Upgrade for standard rail. The other 2 (purple plug/blue plug) are HKS upgrade to go with HKS replacement rail. I don't seen to be able to upload images. What's your email? Cheers Marty
-
Wrong. The HKS Rail for R34 NEO is not for standard or standard-style injectors. It is for the injectors I pictured above. I suggest you change injectors to the correct type or use your standard rail to fix the problem. 60psi of fuel pressure and a bad fitting o-ring is an accident waiting to happen. Cheers Marty
-
This is the HKS upgrade injector to suit the HKS rail. They are completely different to the standard injector. I think if you bought these for the rail you wouldn't have any problems. You must have the wrong injectors for the rail upgrade.
