Yeah ive been looking at some recently and while they seem good im just not convinced that they are work it, they rance from about $100 to $350 from what ive found. the ones ive been looking have a hot shoe mount and then plug into where the remote shutter cable goes, I believe that depending on the model you buy as to how quick it reacts. they seem to vary in sensitivity so you can either set it only to shoot when there is bit flases or set for for smaller ones. but i agree with Mat in thnking the reaction time may not be fast enough to get a decent shot, hence why i thought i would try and find someone thats used one, i dont really want to spend the money on one if its not going to do the job. But on the other hand if it does work well then it would make the task of captureing lightning a whole lots easier. I will continue to investigate anyway and see if i can come to a conclusion on these things.

has any here tried a lightning trigger to capture lightning during storms?

i done my own lock bar, i was actually surprised how easy it was. then a quick drive up the road to get a wheel alignment. Just keep in mind sometimes the best mechanics are not always just around the corner, i take mine about 30 mins from where I live. time is nothing when i know im getting a job done right.

I have mixed views on this law, one side of me thinks its good because it keeps inexperienced drivers out of high powered cars. but it also comes down to driver training. i was very lucky and grew up in the bush so i learnt to drive around in a datsun 180B when i was 8. i learnt alot about how a car handles from a very young age. then once i finally got my P's my first car was an LH Torana with a 308 in it. i never had an accident and i never drove in a manner dangerous to anyone on the road beacause i was brought up with good knowledge of how a car handles and was taught to respect the road and other road users.......... also if my parents ever found out i was driving like a wanker i would have beeen in alot of trouble from them. forget about the cops. I guess at the emd of the day people need to learn how to drive, this is why they should teach drivers ed in schools from year 6 or 7. i think this law needs to be patrolled alot more than it is.

yeah well I though for $98 its either good value or really really crap. but I think its just a good find for the price, I had a good look at the review and I was pretty happy with what I was looking at. Just always like to ask for peoples opinions still

Just a quick question, this canon 50mm here. I can get this for $98 brand new from a store with 1 year warrenty. good value or not?
