i too am looking at my first bike and from what i have found and ahve been told is the cbr 250 id the best learner bike around. there reasonably cheap, look good and they are quick. so if i were you id look for a good cbr and go for that. i know thats what im doing.

will keep an eye out. i will be in a white 33 with a gtr front bar and gtr n1 carbon wing and black rims.

i'll be going down sat night. going to WSID sat with some mates from canberra then all head down sat night after that. prob wont be getting to canberra till about midnight or something but if anyone needs a ride a can help out.

i got a defect for my front mount, found a place that did the dodgy on the engineers cert though. but got a few things engineered for $400 so all worked out well.

i will be in canberra this weekend so i shall come buy and have a look. havent really met anyone off the forums yet, only a couple so i'll make sure i make an effort to meet some of you.

im liking the idea of it. never thought of the photoshop but will get a good pic of the car and doo that. i already have black rims, black mesh if front of the cooler plus a gtr wing with the N1 carbon blade so i have enough black for it to blend in. also i was even thinking of painting the boot black as well and leaving the gtr wing on it or removing that and getting a stealth wing but leave the wing white. but yeah in the end its up to me i guess.just thought id get some other views. thanks heaps guys will get the photoshop thing done and decide from their. good thing is i have a mate who does spray painting so i will get out of that cheap. cheers guys

ok i have a white 33 and am thinking of painting the bonnet black. Just wanted some other peoples views on doing this. ive considered carbon but i just dont want to deal with having to get it enginered and what not. plus i dont really need to do any weight saving as its just a street car. just want your oppinions on what you guys think. ive seen it done before but im still not sure. anyway let me know

when i had my 'at fault' accident i was advised that if i didnt want to go through insurance then i could get them to get 3 quotes and they had to go with who i chose. so i did and they did. simple worked for me. i got out of it cheaper and they were happy with the job. they dont have to go to a cheap place they can go to 3 rip off places. the 3 quotes are to show you that they arent trying to rip you off. but i guess if you dont want advice on other peoples experiences then dont ask. simple.

ive been in a similar situation. if it hasnt been repaired yet tell them to bring you 3 quotes. tell them to go to 2 places of their choice and you pick a place and tell em to get a quote there too. and then tell them to go to the cheapest place. if they refuse then you can take it to court. basicaly if your paying for it you choose where it goes to get fixed. best way i think. that way you know your not getting ripped off.

cause he doesnt live in sydney and never really been into the show side of things. but i'll ask him he might be keen.

yeah i can find em on ebay and in shops but yeah way to much. my mate just bought his first 33 and he wants one for it so i told him id check on here see if i can find him a cheapish one.

its amazing what you can get away with. i was driving with a mate not too long ago who had no licence (nor did I) anyway we were only travelling about 10 mins up the road when we caught up to a police car who all of a sudden slowed from 60km down to 40km we followed for about 500m up the road when all of a suddenn another cop car pulls out of a side street behind us. the cop behind puts his lights on and we pull over. cops do their usual RBT story and then ask us to wait while they check the car and his licence. they come back with the news that he has no licence. he played dumb quite well telling the officer there must be some sort of mistake. so after about half an hour of the cops calling the station and the rta and a whole bunch of bulls**t from my mate they actually let hime get back in the car and drive away. he somehow convinced them that he wasnt dumb enough to be driving a skyline with no licence and it seemed to work. so idunno how it worked but it did. guess they just coulnt be bothered trying to prove he didnt have a licence.

ill be there. now because ive never met any of you is there somewhere there we are meeting or what?
