  9. ok here is a couple of videos from yesterday. still editing some others so will try put more up soon whoever had the white 33 with the plates GEE 33R you should watch the last one. it has a few laps of me behind you. after going through my videos and timing my laps via that way. my quickest was a 1:16 which i am rather pleased with considering it was my first track day ever and on street tyres
  10. not many pics taken by myself but just a couple. also editing videos sucks but i'll have em up by tomorrow anyway
  11. haha yeah that was me. i just couldnt get enough. that and i could tell i was getting heaps better as the day went on. im just going through my videos from my in car camera to get a rough time of my lap times to see how i compare to a few of you. once i upload them to you tube i'll put up some links. got some good footage of a few guys i was behind too. abd yeah big thanks to everyone that put the day on. was fantastic for my first ever track day. i will defiantly be coming to the next one for sure
  12. depending on the back side of the bar if you have the space. get those plugs that you put into concrete walls to screw screws into. use the black silicon to glue them to the bar then you can put the mesh in place and srewcs in from behind. makes it tidy and its very easy to take off if you ever need to
  13. i made one. i bought a nismo sticker that was a good size for the cooler. bought some decent stiff cardbord from the craft shop put the sticker on and then used a stanly knife to cut out the letters and your left with with a nice perfect nismo stencil. after doing so i then realised that i didnt want a nismo stencil on a hks cooler so i just left it plain. but very easy to do.
  14. took the car in today to get some new brake pads on it to get ready and found out i have $2500 worth of suspension stuff i need to get sorted out too. sucks big time. thank god for credit cards hey

    ok im out
  16. it was a good one shell shame you missed it. dam thieving bastards. and haysey wasnt that bad this time.
  17. when you have an attitude like this no wonder the cops give you a hard time. Its the easter long weekend and they have had heaps of RBT's around pulling over people to catch the stupid pricks that drink and drive and could potentially kill your family. so maybe give the cops a bit of a break. im sure they dont come into your place of work and give you a hard time whilst your doing your job. i think some people just need to understand the cops are there to help keep our roads safe. sure there are still some tools that get away with way to much while innocent people get hard done by but sometimes its all just part of owning the type of cars we do. i know my car attracts more attention than a ford or holden or even the old rust bucket that drives down my street every day with smoke pouring from the exhaust but i just deal with it. hell i was pulled up tonight for an RBT the cops asked me if i had an engineers certificate for my mods i said yes would you like to check it. he said no thats fine. drive safe and have a good night. so because i have an engineers certificate i didnt need to have my car gone over and i went off with no problem at all. so i guess they do help. the cops are more likely to give you trouble if you cant prove things have been done legally.
  18. most workshops can either do an engineers cert or point you in the right direction. it all depends on what part of sydney your in. i got mine done at a place in botany.
  19. not true in my case. i have a pod that i had to enclose in a box and i have an aftermarket exhaust (which is still within the legal limit) and a front mount and it still passed all emission tests. but it all still comes down to the fact that if you choose to modify your car you have to be prepared to keep it legal. ie engineers cert etc its a very simple solution to keep the cops and epa off your back. sure they can still send you in for test and all that but if you have what you need to say its fine then you wont have any problem getting passed.
  20. i had to get it engineered so i could clear the defects. the only reason why i got done for my front mount was because i didnt have an engineers for it. so i got one and then it was cleared. i got it done for $400
  21. when i got done for my exhaust and front mount i just got an engineers cert for it to say it was all find and that way you dont need to change anything back to stock (providing it passes emissions test) sometimes an engineers cert is much cheaper than changing everthing back to stock. thats what i found anyway
  22. yeah im not a moron. i know that this isi not the way to go. i just thought id make a bit of a joke but seems like this thread is only for the serious type. so i'll just say this and leave it. if you think parking your car there was unsafe before, well now that thie Joe b has been on here and work sthere our cars will be targeted for sure by Mr B and his mall cop mates. so the simple solution is stay the hell away from Miranda and its low life security.
  23. ok how about if one day you and a mate get really bored and drive down there in 2 seperate cars. 1 a really nice car that they may want to steal and an old sh!t box and park the nice car in a area that theifs would love and then park the second just far enough away that you can keep an eye on the nice one. have a couple of baseball bats in the car and just sit and wait. as soon as someone breaks into it you get and crack em in the head. steal their wallets then leave. dont report a thing. wait a few weeks go to their house and get some payback? whatever happened to the good old vigilantly style of society? all it takes is a stake out and some good revenge ideas. i dunno might not stop everyone from stealing cars but it will stop at least 1 person. and isnt that better than none? or maybe not do this cause you might get locked up too. anyway just an idea. Edit: SAU does not support my ideas and opinions so do what you will at your own rick
  24. im pretty sure they werent just looking on here for cars. there are alot of nice skylines out there owned by people that are not on here. i think this was an option to ask on here because if it was me i would be trying all the places i could. they obviously found better cars elsewhere. anyway i cant see why its such a big problem. be thankful we even got asked for ideas.
  25. so from reading all this for the first time im unsure about bringing my car to canberra and leaving it for any period of time. so is it really as bad as it sounds? if i leave my car for a few hours what are the chances of it being there when i come back? it really sucks when we need to feel like this all because of some low life scum.
