well i have read all this thread & to be honest i haven't read 1 post about why this sort of thing keeps happening, yes this time it was a P plater in Skyline so media beats it up big time, but what about the old guy that mowed down the kindy & he was in a comm. the problem is all the gov's because they will not make any rule that has major voter back lash & doesn't earn them some $$. 1. our roads are just overloaded with amount of pop we have & road toll just keeps going up (if the number of people that die on our roads each year was caused by war etc the gov would take action because voters would make them) 2. driver training is crap for new drivers & proof of this is the amount of times people fail but can just rebook & go again, prac makes perfect but if they had to try so hard just to pass the test what about real world driving with unknown's) 3. there is no recourse for bad drivers & i don't mean drivers who are doing things that are ilegal, i mean bad bloody drivers that do way under speed limits etc like my 81 year old mother. 4. police not knowing rules & bulshit fines so people start 2nd guessing everything they do. 5. once you pass driving test get lic there is no more tests (unless you lose lic) untill your over 70 something & then it's just a letter from your doc saying you can drive ffs does any bloody doc go for a real drive with these people. WHAT NEEDS TO BE DONE & MOST WONT LIKE IT. 1. age limit increased to 18 for lic 2. reflex testing every lic renewal & if fail no lic (most people over 70 would fail) they say now to drive a car in syd you need reaction time of a fighter pilot, well i can tell you if most drivers out there where fighter pilots we would have no air force.

well you don't have to, but because of car setup & balance you would be silly not to just post in gernral info a GTR owner will let you know real quick.

sorry i don't think they do because of 2 reasons i can think of: 1. GTR 4WD so all wheels should be same size. 2. wheel offset for GTR is diff. i maybe wrong, but if i am someone will correct me.

i have 1 month old ROH DriftR wheels/tyres front 18x8 (tyre Falken ZE512 235/40) rear 18x9 (tyre Dunlop LM701 265/35) they fit my R33 no rubbing, reason for sale is due to change of jobs my wife will have to drive it now & then & if you see what she has done to VT wagon mags you would now why (she is a good driver just scraps gutters parking). offers over 2K accepted, don't waste your time offering under that because i will just keep them. if you need pic go to ROH web site.

I think more people would be better drivers if they had their eyes on the road not the speedo. 100% right i'm sick of the standard line do you know how fast you were going & i always reply with, on i don't know exact speed because i was watching the road & where i'm going but i'm sure i wasn't speeding because i was driving with traffic flow. now with some police because there are still some that are human if your only 10-15 over they will let you off because you are showing due care it's that simple.

this is happening way to much police are booking people for no reason at all except they can & it's not just skylines it's any sporty looking car. i'm in nsw & have been pulled over no less than 3 times in my sub over the last 6 months for nothing & this is in a XR6 ute. each time they follow me trying to hide behind another car hoping i'll do something wrong, but i'm a very aware driver form riding bikes so i know there following. each time they start with the crap until i hand over lic & they see i'm 41, but thats to late for me because i know my rights so first thing i do is ask for there names & command (station there from). they alway ask why & i say because i have no faith in hwy patrol anymore & every police man tells you something diff & i'm sick of having to pay money out to go to court for bogus fines that police men can write with no recourse. i was followed the other day in my R33 & i just pulled over straight away they went past me & pulled in infront of me then got out to bug me like i new that wasn't going to happen. they asked me why i stoped i said i wanted to make phone call on mobile & it's ilegal to use while driving & since when is it wrong to pull over your car. they rbt me & were about to go when i said don't you want to search my car i could also have drugs or weapons i mean the way you guys are now you might as well just to be sure because all us sports car drivers are bad. they didn't say much else & left. what i didn't tell them is i carry in my car a mini tape player & now if i get pulled over it's in my pocket turned on, but never tell cops just keep it for backup if needed (send copy to police comm which complaint if your screwed or they just talk to you like trash).

it can be anybody believe me, i was on my ZZR1100 xmas day & 2 middle aged women cut me off so bad that i had to take major action, lucky for me there was driveway to use instead of rear of her car. the reason people do this is because our road rules say if you hit car in arse it's your fault so they will cut you off & if you hit them then you pay unless you have some major witness. because there were lights further down road i stoped beside these women & asked wtf & did you see what i had to do so you didn't kill me & i got the bird (next part is sensored due to my actions). they were very lucky it wasn't my riding buddy because he would have just jumped head first (helmet on) through there windscreen & said "is this what you wanted".

it's posts like in the fast 4 forum, that make you smile & laugh just pure gold. with any public forum some person got home after having a event happen on the road & vented, now if car had of been a VW he still would have vented & then you have the sheep that go along for the ride. bottom line i don't car what people drive so long as it makes them happy & people that drive like idiots will do so in any type of car (i could jump on the band wagon & tell you what type of driver is more likely to do this but, i don't need to it's common fact)

what shits me even more is the R33 i have pulls apart very quickly & it is a dream to work on form a mech point of veiw so why does any work on them cost so bloody much. i work for myself so i don't always have the time to do everything myself but i will now on my R33 because it's a no brainer (try pulling apart dash ford/holden as an example). i'm new to this forum but a idea would be for owners to form work groups (your area) for help & repairs hands on. example would be say service so when cars due you get together & do together (great way to find little things wrong & gain info first hand) you may already do this, it's just a thought.

i also have no idea why you paid them anything because clearly they didn't service your car per contract spec so you don't pay money for nothing & if you do can you send me some. you are going to dealer for warranty reasons so you have no choice but you do have rights so if it was me i would go back tell them you will be geting a inspection of car before they can touch it again (no work just inspection) because as they have just done full service with no reported fault except pads there souldn't be a problem with car. but if inspection comes back with faults you will be seeking advise from MTA about why workshop does full service but car shows correct service not carried out. you have to do this with dealers because they need the push to do anything write, but if they flog you off even with warranty never go back & take photos of car infront witness & go then big time with MTA local papers etc don't ever give up & let them win because it happens just to much (what bloody good is your warranty if they can't even service your car which is reason faults are occuring) i can tell you i'm no idiot & can do most mech things myself except tune but as an old man i'm new to turbo & bought my R33 for some fun & to play with but wanted good workshop to go over car first due to car being import etc. well i must say i feel so sorry for anybody who has a import & has to use syd workshops because they all just want your money thats it. i will never again use any syd workshop for mech repairs on my import (tune yes). yes there maybe 1 good 1 somewhere but i don't have the money to waste finding it.

don't waste your time trying to prove anything because you have fixed problem, so no real proof (you could use man that helped you as wit). it is just so hard to prove mech workshops haven't done what you asked, over charge, even bother to replace what they say which is very sad but fact. fair trading might give them a call but that's it, so best option is ask them wtf & you can gauge by what your told how things will unfold. don't think your only 1 because i asked advise went to workshop out west & if was wild west they would be dead.

sorry they don't have a low pressure switch at all reason you think clutch isn't engaged is because no gas = no load from compressor. they only have a high pressure switch to cut out compressor, you need this because most car a/c regas places overcharge. your a/c runs but only hot air comes out means only 2 things low gas or compressor not pumping, now there are to many reasons to list causes but most common is compressor seal leaks due to wear & only fix is reco compressor (car compressor is belt driven so mech esal is side loaded so any bearing wear or over tighten belt causes seal to wear faster causing gas to leak because it's the sealing medium). car a/c systems hold very little refrigerant charge with most holding under 1kg which to put in dollars in cost if you have lic (like me) to buy it is about $20 per kg R134a.

i would put money on, street legal car & i mean any wouldn't out drag huybusa street legal only because even a street legal car with mega hp just will not get enough traction off line to do it (with sticky slicks then possable but then your doing mods which is not the point).
